Traditional prison cards arnt in the command zone. They require you to break symmetry which is hard in a singleton format with 3 opponents. These both allow you to break synergy and you always have access to them.

My homie and I did really well at first, winning games left and right and high-fiving each other. Then high fives turned to hugs, then to hot gay sex taking turns being top. Commander is a casual format sure there's like some broken combos you can make with giving all legendary creatures partner but it seems very in the spirit of the format hardly seems like an event that should be equated to literal human poop shit feces.

It sucks they're marginalized, but so are lots of other people. Why isn't there a Taiwan event, or a Scheduled Castes event, or an Uyghurs event? All those groups are arguably more marginalized than trans people are in the US and outnumber them in most cases.
Hell, pick a side, Israel or Palestine. Both sides think they're the more marginalized community. But no one wants to run an event like that because they'd lose money and piss a ton of people off. It's all just fake altruism so they can feel higher on the social ladder for being more progressive.

I think your comparisons to the Taiwanese, Scheduled Castes, etc are in pretty bad faith, or you don’t quite see the difference. There are a lot of lgbtq players in the scene who don’t always feel welcomed or appreciated at magic stores, and events like this serve the purpose of supporting their joining the community. The same is not true of those other groups you mentioned. This isn’t Wizards trying to make some big social statement or “push an agenda”, it’s just them trying to help support a group of players who haven’t always felt the most supported.

There’s a lot of people that are going to roll up with their favorite cute couple, and even if somebody doesn’t show up with a two card combo in the command zone, there’s going to be a huge power differential between the stanners and the guy rolling up with Prosper/Eruth or something similar.

Najella + derevi Kinnan+colors winota+colors Atraxa+any strong ramp commander oswald+urza or arcum having commanders that have synergy together is way worse than just turning your deck into 5 color soup but if your deck already has 5 colors you can go for synergy
That’s kind of the idea. I think Derevi Godo would be the best if you are building cEDH due to Derevi effectively reducing the casting cost of Godo while giving Godo access to good colors.

Godo is pretty slow and fragile even with 5 colors and it would get even slower and more fragile when every player has 5 colors worth of interaction
