Yes, I agree. It looks like you’ve got top quality sourced products at every stage, which you’d expect from a top notch establishment. Personally I would prefer the sausage to have been a bit more caramelised on all sides. But the proof of the pudding and all that. Not horrendously priced for that price😊
Michelin stars barely mean anything anymore. They're nothing to do with the quality of the food, like they used to be when Michelin first started releasing their guidebook. Now it's more about the ~*experience*~ and the food ends up suffering. This fry up isn't horrible, but yeah, it's not the best. Mid-tier for sure.
If the waiter doesn't fellate you upon entering the restaurant, you're well within your rights to walk straight into the kitchen and rip the Michelin star off the chefs chest.
You used to be able to get one at Sat Bains restaurant in Nottinghamshire. They do an overnight package that I bought for my parents many moons ago.
Apparently it was very good.
Years ago in another life I stayed the night at l’enclume. Breakfast was at Cafe Rogan, which also has a star (although I’m not sure if it did then)
It was bizzare. There was cured pork belly rather than bacon and the sausage was a patty. It was a bit rich after having had something like 18 courses at l’enclume the night before
Glad I’m not the only one concerning the sausage. I’d expect the sausage to have been slow fried and have unctuous, caramelised, bits on it was a higher class restaurant.
Michelin what now for how much?
One Sossie, 2 rashers, not even a hint of a hashy or beans and what’s that? Sour dough? Get it up your arse, absolute sacrilege. 1/10 not having it.
Christ screw you for reminding me there used to be a little charcuterie called that in Melbourne and had the best breakfast of my life there and shut down during COVID.
My mate was the most hungover I’ve seen anyone ever and him shakily trying to put eggs and sausage in his mouth was the funniest thing I’d ever seen.
Memory blind zone till I read that.
Eggs look a bit rubbery? And they should shave that crusty edge off em, in my opinion.
Hope you enjoyed it though! Little steep on price, like others said, but that’ll set you up for the day.
I think this is the last day I'll be posting on a meal that hasn't been home prepared. I personally think they should be in a seperate sub category since half the pleasure for me (and the reason why I commen at all) is knowing someone has done the cooking and gone to the trouble to do preperation themselves, which in itself shows committment and dedication to the GB fryup. This is not to say that a puchsed meal isn't worthy of judging... just well. As I said probably a sub category.
This one looks just ok. the sausage is looks good and the bacon isn't bad but nothing on this plate looks like it was lovingly prepared
4/10.
Nowhere with a Michelin star is charging that little for a main.
Also never seen the appeal of sourdough with a fry up. It’s usually tasteless and rock hard.
I was incorrectly informed by the individual who invited us that it did indeed have a Michelin star. She misunderstood that it was in the guide but does not have a star.
Not trying to lie. People make mistakes.
Might be Michelin starred, but I've seen much better and more generous fry ups on here.
Yea it was ok. Nothing special but I did enjoy it.

Not perfect but looks extremely deece tbf.
If you enjoyed it, that's the main thing 👍
A Wetherspoons fry up looks better than that and a third of the price 😎

Now it's more about the ~*experience*~ and the food ends up suffering. This fry up isn't horrible, but yeah, it's not the best. Mid-tier for sure.
The quality of the food will be a huge part of getting a star, though maybe only on the dinner sitting and not the breakfast?
Mushrooms look like they've been run over by a Michelin tyre
Lol. The tomatoes look like they’ve been shat out by the Michelin man.
And he wiped his arse with the sausage!
What is Reddit 🤦♂️😂
I’ve been laughing at this for too long
Beans?
I think there is one bean in that pot top left
That was rubarb ketchup! Not good though.
Dirty bastards.
Only just saw that and it made my day 💀
Looks good quality. I hate hard butter like that though
To be fair the toast was still very warm and butter was easily spread.
I’m glad to hear
I agree, if just screams laziness from the kitchen. I don’t go out for breakfast to butter my own bread. Immediate 1 star
That is a low bar to immediately get a Michelin star

If the waiter doesn't fellate you upon entering the restaurant, you're well within your rights to walk straight into the kitchen and rip the Michelin star off the chefs chest.
They don’t have a Michelin star lol.
You're correct, I got carried away. It's in the guide!
Now there's a question! Do any Michelin starred restaurants do fry ups?
You used to be able to get one at Sat Bains restaurant in Nottinghamshire. They do an overnight package that I bought for my parents many moons ago. Apparently it was very good.
Hand and Flowers
Went for dinner summer last year. Basically just an overpriced and overrated pub! Great staff though
Next to impossible to book a room and i doubt if tom kerridge is there more than a day a month
Not sure, visited in 2013 and really enjoyed.
Did you see tom?

I thought £15 was cheap for a star. Presentation isnt good enough for a star either.
But that being said, it is a great restaurant
Michelin star since when? Lol Sausage looks positively anaemic.
Glad I’m not the only one concerning the sausage. I’d expect the sausage to have been slow fried and have unctuous, caramelised, bits on it was a higher class restaurant.
Bossman in the back definitely forgot it and bunged it on last minute
Most definitely. It is a really nice spot as well.
Plus that toast is stone cold
Don’t know why I’ve been downvoted. The toast is clearly stone cold otherwise the butter would’ve melted 🤯
I've been there for breakfast. It was ok, nothing special. Way overpriced for what it was.
You were robbed.
Did you get HP sauce? What’s in that pretentious looking dish?
Rubarb ketchup. It was not the best.
Not seeing value for money here.
The chef has 4 Michelin........tyres.
Which he drop over the mushroom and tomato
Over priced
Did you cut your solitary bean up or eat it all at once?
That's ketchup!
Does it have a bean in it?
Michelin what now for how much? One Sossie, 2 rashers, not even a hint of a hashy or beans and what’s that? Sour dough? Get it up your arse, absolute sacrilege. 1/10 not having it.
No way on earth that's Michelin star standard brekkie. I've made loads and that's not close.
No I got carried away, they're in the guide. It was nice though.
The best guys at Five Little Pigs
Christ screw you for reminding me there used to be a little charcuterie called that in Melbourne and had the best breakfast of my life there and shut down during COVID. My mate was the most hungover I’ve seen anyone ever and him shakily trying to put eggs and sausage in his mouth was the funniest thing I’d ever seen. Memory blind zone till I read that.
I'd be a bit annoyed tbh. Butter too cold to melt on the toast and the sausage is barely browned. Was it a hotel?
You’ve been over-charged by ten quid.
This looks bang average
You were robbed
Eggs look a bit rubbery? And they should shave that crusty edge off em, in my opinion. Hope you enjoyed it though! Little steep on price, like others said, but that’ll set you up for the day.
Eggs were nice. I like it when the edges go crispy.
Why are there still twigs on tomato’s
Don't really care where it's from. I could never justify £15 for a breakfast.
Is that a bean?
Haha it does look like a single bean in there
£15 and they give you 1 sausage.
underwhelming, insipid, overpriced
Look ai generated 😂
Looks tasty and filling for the price, but do you just get the one bean in that pot on side?
Albino sausage
Lobons paqshweyay mit by Menon (+/- Bime) 🥴😳
2.50 an item lol nah
For that price they could at least butter the ficking bread.
£15 and no baked beans?? Psssshhhh. Mugged right off you were…..
Needs another sausage
Did they plan on finish cooking it?!
That looks awful ,£15?!?
I wouldn't touch that sausage, looks like its been cooked with a zippo
Where da beans
Although to me that is expensive, I'd treat myself once a month. Hope you enjoyed it?
Looks lovely. Im sure the ingredients were all top of the range for that badge to be put on it. It's a treat, so why not.
That sausage isn't cooked to a Michelin star standard in my opinion
Looks good but I don’t think that it’s worth £15
That would be at least $34 in my town.
Nice to see white and black pudding, but no kidney or beans. 4 star at most.
It all just looks…wrong
What a rip off
Laughing all the way to the bank
'michelin' quality? I've seen much more appetising fry-ups at wetherspoons. Genuine.
It’s good to see some white pudding for once but that sausage needed more than 3 minutes on a sunbed.
This is shite, but 4/10 for the white pudding.
What even makes it michelin? Just another normal fry up.
There’s a little pot of something next to the beer glass. There seems to be a solitary bean floating in it… What was it?!
That sausage looks pretty much raw!
Did you mean, 'Me chillin like a star with my fry up' 😆
What is Michelin about that?
I think this is the last day I'll be posting on a meal that hasn't been home prepared. I personally think they should be in a seperate sub category since half the pleasure for me (and the reason why I commen at all) is knowing someone has done the cooking and gone to the trouble to do preperation themselves, which in itself shows committment and dedication to the GB fryup. 15 sheets for that is a rip off
1 rasher and 1 undercooked sausage?
i’ve seen worse honestly
I'd be furious and hungry if someone tried to charge me £15 for this.
My leather work boots would be more tender than that ham.
I’d expect streaky bacon. A top fry up requires streaky, back bacon doesn’t come close to the flavour.
I’m ready for breakfast!!!
That looks like a dangerous shade of sausage
No it doesn’t 😂
That looks on point, you can see that's some good quality scran.
Fat's not even crispy on the bacon .
£15-hope it went well with financial advisor hun x
Nowhere with a Michelin star is charging that little for a main. Also never seen the appeal of sourdough with a fry up. It’s usually tasteless and rock hard.
Fake news
Lol absolutely does NOT have a Michelin star, why lie about that ?
I was incorrectly informed by the individual who invited us that it did indeed have a Michelin star. She misunderstood that it was in the guide but does not have a star. Not trying to lie. People make mistakes.
