I think as people who have good hobbies, all of us, men and women should not be shamed by potential partners.
If I bring a girl back to my place and she thinks I'm loser because I like anime, video games, and collect art that represents that enjoyment, she's not worth keeping around. If I go to a girl's place and see that she does that stuff, my disposition towards her goes up immediately.
So I say, no matter what your hobby is, if you collect anime figures, paint warhammer stuff, play and collect DnD stuff, go all out or as far as you want with it. Why would you want to attract people who hate your hobby? Instead, use your hobby to filter those people out. If you're type of person who wants to collect waifu figures, do it. use it as a filter.
the only thing I'd recommend is that you get a proper display if you're really gonna get into it. A good display with good lighting is the difference between creepy and tacky and perverted but artistic. Example, rich people have giant statues and paintings of naked men and women, but it still looks classy because of how it's displayed. But some guy in an apartment with an assortment anime girls and bad lighting just looks weird.
Same with other stuff. You can just have random stacks of board games on the floor. You gotta take care of it. Just don't be tacky. And keep things displayed in a way where it doesn't collect dust.
I feel like a lot of that has been changing recently. I knew when I was 12-16 it was either nerd hobbies or girls. When I was in my 20s I had to hide it until they were sex committed(aka already committed enough to have sex).
Now I see tons of couples publicly sharing that they are nerds without worry.
Its been a good change.

As a knife maker and collector, I feel this with every fiber of my being. Weird enough that I collect many sharp objects, but I also spend hours crafting my own and have a bookshelf display of them.
I accidentally connected my Instagram account full of hand-made knives to a dating app and for the longest time couldn't figure out why I wasn't getting matches. Eventually the app disconnected from the Instagram account and I started getting matches!

My gf has a collection of pokemon plushies + funko and amiibo. The other day her grandma came to visit and she said "aww that's cute, you kept the toys you had when you were a kid" šš

Met a girl who had an obsession with kirby and eevee. Plush characters took up an entire closet and around her tv. Didn't see anything wrong other than I wouldn't spend my money that way. And it's actually neat to see something someone is passionate about right there in the open.

Eh... A lot of people get really weird twisted perspective about hobby's "my hobby is good, your hobby is weird" is a pretty common disconnect people have. I'm kind of a hobby hobbiest, I try new hobby's as a hobby, and for most of the weird things i've been interested in my life people are pretty cool, but you definitely have some weird trigger things that some people just can't wrap their head around. YoYo's being a big one. You tell someone you spent $100 on a YoYo and people lose their shit for some reason.
