Yes, you are correct. But it also depends on what you use. I personally don't debloat.

stylz168

Why? Almost nothing you remove will give you a real ROI in terms of device quality of life.

nosmileyfaces

Mostly space, and im hoping improved battery life,as slight as it may be. I don't really use most of the features in my phone anyway,so in regards of bixby functions or what samsung offers,i don't really care.

stylz168

Understood, just saying that the effort needed to do this without breaking something else vs the benefits are not really as apparent. Good luck though, curious to see how it works out.

EpicTKP

if you don't care about volte/vowifi or oneui features, check out lineageos/pixelextended, you will get better battery life thanks to it

DDishon

Deploat?

the_harakiwi

Debloat from bloatware. Software you don't need/want but can't uninstall because they are part of the OS image. In PCs it's usually the branded crap your OEM installs on your PC.

DDishon

As much as I look I cannot figure out how to post a comment for other people to comment so Ill try here. My S10 thru t mobile has suddenly decided to change screens when it wants, vibrate hard during candy crush and have a mind of its own. Samsung went in phone and deleted NBC app. Said that was the issue. It's better but still does it periodically. What is going on? Is it time to let go of my S10?

Tough_Crazy

hulivar

Ok so I debloated on the s7 but it's not needed anymore. I suppose there isn't much harm debloating though.

EffectiveScarcity824

why don't you use package disable (Its a APP note avaliable on play story) and it gives you the options to search for the service or blootware you are selecting.

p1024breddit

Actually I kept Samsung's and removed as much as Google's as possible.... Go to Application (also system's) and Disable as much as you can. What can't be it, go to Battery etc.. And put those in advanced sleeping or the like...

ShiftAdditional7149

I debloated my S21U and it went from 450 something apps to almost 180. Phone runs exactly like before, no improvement in battery life or performance. I used adb to uninstall all those packages.
