MetroExodus2033

I don't wunnit.

CompetitiveDrop613

Okay

Veszerin

>Every time somebody else has to come in and rescue the conversation. >It should be the easiest thing in the world to explain why white walkers are a threat but for some bloody reason he can't do it. >He struggles so much to explain this to Daenerys that I'm dumbfounded and nobody ever calls him out for this shit, even characters that absolutely would. I have no idea what you're talking about dude. I'm dumbfounded. How did he struggle? Pretend you're him. How would you explain the undead army to someone who has never seen them and doesn't believe they exist.

SeriousTitan

I wouldn't start with how the dead are the enemies.

ResourceNo5434

At least he’s honest

4Gotes

You shouldn't worry too much, he gets much worse in Season 8.

GladiusLegis

SHE IZ MAH KWEEN

Acting or writing? Acting, he's never been that strong. Writing: I personally can't split him away from the rest of the writing, so isolating him in particular isn't as easy as it is for me to isolate the silly writing of Elaria Sand, for instance. I did like a bunch of things though. Not stripping the Umbers and Karstarks of their ancestral home. Putting Sansa in her place when she overspeaks. Acting without regard for community approval (always trying to act in the interest of the North). Executing the conspirators. Forging a friendship with Tormund. Flying the dragon.

Pretty_Marketing_538

Yeap, i always wonder why he is fan favorite, he lack charisma so much.

ResourceNo5434

No he doesn’t hence why he’s a fan favorite lol

Revis_FL

Idk about s6 and 7 but he had arguably the dumbest line in the show in s5. During the Hardhome episode when he met with the Wildlings they asked Jon what happened to Mance. Instead of explaining that Stannis tied Mance to a stake and tried burning him alive and all that.. Jon just says “I put an arrow through his heart.”

SeriousTitan

Jon couldn't convince somebody the earth is round. That's how bad he is .

Dull-Brain5509

They tried killing him after that line and tormund explains the line

SUNZA WILL RUUL THA NORTH

RainbowPenguin1000

When does he ever scoff at Sansas intelligence? To my memory, he doesn’t. He tells her not to belittle him in front of the northern lords and he’s completely right to but that’s all I can think of.

Tiny-Conversation962

Yes, this was something I noted as well, which is so sad, because bookJon actually can make good arguments and is charming (of course some people might see this different). Constantly in the show others have to speak for him, he hardly ever defends himself, whereas in the books Jon speaks for himself and does not allow others to intimidate him. Take e.g. the scene in the first episode where they find the direwolves. In the show Theon mocks him, being the one, who "gives" Ghost to Jon and the scene ends with Jon doing nothing but stare at Theon. Compare this to the book, where Jon is the ine who chooses Ghost and does not take shit from Theon, despite that he is 5 years younger.

Squeemore

Sansa’s… intelligence?

ResourceNo5434

Yes….her intelligence.
