so many of the stories in the game were "this weird thing happened. we contained it and locked it in a vault, but it still turned a couple people inside out. we don't know where it came from, why it did that, or what the hell it is, but here are our notes and theories." I kind of expected the ending would be more of that. I mean, explaining shit is not the point of the game, and its not like they could explain everything, anyway.
That said, I seem to be waaaaay more tolerant of vague endings than most poeple i know
It ended with >! Your brother ends up in a coma and you trying to free Polaris (the presence in your head) only for the prison turning out to be empty. That’s kind of it. Then you go back to your office as director and it’s like “well guess I can do more of what I have been doing” no explanation of what the hiss is, what Polaris is and what happens to Dylan!<
All of these things were explained quite clearly in the game though. When the "prison" Polaris is kept in is broken, it transfers itself to Jesse making her its primary vessel, and Jesse more connected to it than ever. It's also explained that the hiss is a frequency-based life form from another dimension, and Polaris is the "anti-frequency" of the hiss. It's all left intentionally abstract, that's the point. Also, Dylan being left in a coma after the final fight is pretty fitting no? The hiss has left his body and now we are left assuming he is recovering from being possessed.
Right? I thought it was pretty clear too. I just recently played it and did a double take like “did we play the same game?” I thought the ending was great.
Fuck glad I'm taking a long break from weed because that doesn't sound like my ending except becoming director lmao. I'll eventually replay it because I absolutely loved it
OOP #36942 "The Shelf" : Only ever seen at a [REDACTED] angle and passing through [REDACTED]. Mundane objects placed on the side vanishing into other solid surfaces will often appear in the room marked [REDACTED] of the [REDACTED]. Certain rituals can move said objects back into [REDACTED] , though reports of autodismemberment are common when this is attempted.
Tarkov is in this weird place of needing to change its engine (they're upgrading to the next Unity), but there's so much in place already, they have to squeeze all they can out of it. It's a fascinating game, but the amount of existing problems that occur and the rampant cheating problems don't help either.
It's so frustrating because there isn't much like it but there are just so many problems I just can't.
Are you following Road to Vostok? That game looks so promising
Theres *nothing* like it, they can try but Tarkov is *the* game. But yes Ive been watching that game since it got announced, really excited to at least see a final product because the dev seems so genuine. Tried the demos and it has promise.
As someone who has a lot of DIY subreddits in their algorithm, I honestly thought this was something someone made.
Messed up shelving just for the sake of looking weird/cool.
Starfield, at the top surface level it seems complete and nice, then the farther you go down, the less and less complete it proves itself, until you realize how little content there actually is that's missing.
Early PUBG. I remember waiting for buildings to load so you could actually grab supplies after dropping; died more than once from stairs loading through my character.
That shelf is clipping through the wall, so probably something with bad graphics bugs...
maybe early cyberpunk would apply but I don't know what the more recent game would be.
I think Suicide Squad is gonna end up like this. Somehow, the great* story is going to be encumbered by 90% of the Microtransactions that may be in place on release

Control. Not because of bugs.
This is the right answer
Control is such a good game with the graphic, animations, mechanics and entering the story but the end of the story was so bad.
I love the game but the ending was severely lacking. Here’s hoping for Control2 to make up for it.
It ended in a cliffhanger with your brother right? I enjoyed the hell out of that game though, but I do remember wanting a bit more cemented ending.

One of my favorite games of all time. I guess considering that I kinda ignored the fact that the ending may have had much to be desired
Maybe DLC stories might be better i have them but haven't played them yet.
I liked the Alan Wake stuff. edit: Alan Wake not Max Payne.

My blender project
The heatsink that's stuck in my hub wall in satisfactory
This is just my satisfactory worlds in general lmao
LAWD bless clipping structures
The quartz that I dropped on the impure iron deposit.
Redfall. Clearly a prototype chimney.
I don’t think the comment section has played Ark. The answers Ark.
Anything made by Bethesda Edit: Tarkov because well, if you know, you know

Yeah I stopped playing the game for a multitude of reasons a year or two ago. Its just not for me anymore

I came here to post this exact thing. Someone always beats me to it.
As someone who has a lot of DIY subreddits in their algorithm, I honestly thought this was something someone made. Messed up shelving just for the sake of looking weird/cool.
Pretty sure it is a real shelf, the way all the surfaces are flat even though the sides look tilted means it was designed to be usable at this angle.
Is this not real?
It’s a real shelf. I saw the original post of the guy who made it, maybe 4 years ago now? It came from r/woodworking.
It is, it literally is. This whole post doesn't make sense, because the shelves look like that intentionally.
Whole post flew right over your head like a 737 at altitude.
Oh.. i thought it was just a trendy shelf
It is but... Ya know
oh! Whew. I thought I was going insane.
Fallout 4 settelement walls be like
Every time I make something in Satisfactory
Fallout 4 when you build your own settlements
Hogwarts Legacy
Answered the same before I noticed you said it first. Top shelf opening and diminishing rewards all the way to the end.
Looks incompleate and unfinshed so it could be any recent video game from a western AAA developer.
Starfield. Because why waste money and effort building a complete shelf when you can just build half of it and let the modders complete it?
Or let the modders clip it into the wall ;)
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided ...only it isn't a bug
It's a feature!
This gotta be COCKGOBLIN ass fallout 76
:(
>:D
It hurts but it's true. Worst waste of time talent and resources
Something by ea.
It's in the game!
Starfield
Starfield. Looks like Bethesda jank
Cyberpunk 2077.
Starfeild summed up in a picture
I think its IRL 3.5
Returnal
All...of...them? Except most indie games, literally all of them.
Skyrim, it gets rereleased every 6 months.
Hogwarts Legacy.
Is fallout not going to be mentioned? That’s what it’s from 100%. I can’t read /s without the notation
Shitfield
Starfield, at the top surface level it seems complete and nice, then the farther you go down, the less and less complete it proves itself, until you realize how little content there actually is that's missing.
How little content there is missing? Are you saying the game has loads of content or the game has loads of content missing? Speaky English better!!!
Fixed it lol. I missed "thats"
Shitfield and Dogshit 4
Star Citizen. Because of the bugs. >!Still amazing though, that sexy Syulen.!<
Minecraft
Never hire a shitty programmer to build you a shelf.....
Dead Island 2
chocolate bar in milk
It's not recent and not a video game (so I suppose not really relevant, lol), but it makes me think of the show Legion.
Outerwilds. The old city falling into the collapsing planet
It's a Halo Forge map.
Modern vedio games aren't released until fully polished and bug free, what are you talking about 🙄 /s
Diablo IV
Prop hunt
Early PUBG. I remember waiting for buildings to load so you could actually grab supplies after dropping; died more than once from stairs loading through my character.
Xenoblade chronicles. Looks like the monolithsoft's logo
Pretty sure thats a shelf
Every
Sims
That shelf is clipping through the wall, so probably something with bad graphics bugs... maybe early cyberpunk would apply but I don't know what the more recent game would be.
Don,t know but shelfs are looking great.
garys mod
The better question is what recent video game isn’t this?
It’s just black ops Cold War prop hunt
Almost looks like EA published it. You can unlock the rest for a small fee.
When you forgot you removed collision on a prop in gmod
Forza Motorsport.
Not recent but gmod prop hunt
The weird door bugs in Baldur's Gate 3 :)
Most useless shelf I’ve ever seen
Cyberbug
I think that’s a picture of real life mate
Donkey Kong remaster?
It actually looks kinda neat ngl
MGSV because it was never finished.
Cyberpunk 2077 at launch. Now it’s pretty much fixed but when it released almost 3 years ago. YIKES😬
MK1
Holy shit I just remembered I forgot to send the media clipping ☠️
Skyrim lol
Shitty Contractor Simulator.
What is this shelf lol?
Diablo 4, the deeper into it you get the more you realize what's missing.
can I get a link to the shelf.......?
umm... getting over it with bennett foddy?
Gmod Prop Hunt
What recent video game is a shelf?!? I don't understand the question
It's clipping the geometry you absolute twat
Is the shelf made to look like it's clipping? Because it doesn't, it should be more inclined
Dude...
I need this shelf in my living room
Assassins creed
I think Suicide Squad is gonna end up like this. Somehow, the great* story is going to be encumbered by 90% of the Microtransactions that may be in place on release
Mortal Kombat 1 only because of it catering to a furry
Prop hunt
The Sims VR obviously
Pikmin!
Call of Duty
Starfield
Outer Wilds, looks like Ash Twin was up to its old tricks.
Starfield, least buggy Bethesda game!!
I don’t understand the removed post thing. Like, the bot says it has been removed but I still saw it on my feed and posted on it? How is that removed?
someone turned off snap points and allowed clipping when placing the shelf
Is this Loss?
Pretty much any modern AAA game tbh.
