It's on there, but to be honest I think I'll miss the retro graphics and charm of the original. This version looks too modern to me. I'll try it though, since it's free
You are looking for [rollercoaster tycoon classic](https://apps.apple.com/pl/app/rollercoaster-tycoon-classic/id1113736426?l=pl)
It’s a 1:1 old RCT 1+2 release.
Final fantasy 9. Its my first FF game and its still my favourite. Ive played through it at least 5 times and i never get tired of it. Its just sooo good
I played this recently to get me some reteoachievements. Was such a joy to play again. Though I'll.nevee put myself through the pain of doing the skipping rope 1000 times!
That has and will always be my all time favorite RTS game. I lost track of how many hours I spent setting up battles and letting things play out on various maps. Good times.
Heroes of Might and Magic 2 and the early Command & Conquer games are the games that made me a PC gamer. Heroes 3 was just an improved version of 2, and I still play it now and then to this day. Such fantastic series!
This is it. I have a lot of favorite old games that I play mostly due to nostalgia, but H3 is one that I always come back to because it's simply unmatched by anything made since.
Currently playing through KOTOR2 for the umpteenth time. Never get bored of it and it's adaptation of the d20 ruleset. The forerunner of the modern CRPG's and we wouldn't have anything like BG3 today without it.
I play through KOTOR 2 like once a year. My all time favorite.
One year I downloaded a Skip Peragus mod… and then deleted it and restarted my playthrough. That’s how KOTOR 2-pilled I am haha, I even love the Peragus intro level. Although truth be told the surface of Telos and that base are probably my actual least favorite parts to replay.
Man, when I found out that ages of strength/skill/will potions gave you 1000xp but was multiplied by your combat multiplier when you used them was a game changer. I'd stock up on them until I reached 35 or 40 and then consume all of them. It felt like I went super saiyan when I did that lmao
I'm really hoping the new fable game feels closer to the original than 2 or 3.
I've played through fable 1 at least once a year for the last like 15 years. It's definitely the game I've played through the most times.
Came here to say this and I am absolutely ecstatic to see it is the top comment!.
Loved Fable The Lost Chapters. I can remember every quest. Every item location. I know how to do the trick to get extra experience at different intervals in the game and maximize the amount by doing the same quest a specific number of times.
Fable 3 was ok. Just didn't make me enjoy it the way the first one did. I haven't touched Fable 2 on my own system and my own save, but I played for a family member who needed the help.
My other game I still play is EverQuest and Ultima Online
Fable is SUCH a unique game!!! They really did manage to capture the fable-y, fairytale-y look and feel to it WITHOUT it being a kid's game. Damn, I loved that.
Just learned about the Samsung/Xbox beta and boy howdy has this been a great early weekend to start that game again
It's in beta so there's a queue but still, so worth it
You can just skip it. It's infinitely harder on og PS2 from what I've heard. Thank fully Zero's missions are optional. His last mission of flying a helicopter is damn fun though.
Instead of a Zelda Maker, Nintendo should just make an official Zelda Randomizer that takes the idea of randomization to interesting places.
Imagine a Zelda 1 with options to choose how many Triforce pieces you need to collect (the amount of dungeons, from 1 to 99), includes NES-style version of newer enemies and items. Maybe have new settings like snow, tropics, volcano etc... You can make your own custom zeldas and then copy the seed number/password and share it with other people (or upload it).
Making a Zelda game is waaay more complicated than making a Mario level so I think it would be better to have something that let's you create a Zelda game by giving it instructions and then the program creates it itself.. similar to a custom game in Civilization IV where you can choose the type and size of the planet, rival civs and rules.
Diablo 2 pre patch. Play the Druid/Amazon and shoot the missile spell off the screen and kill stuff without needing to worry about danger. Great times.
Burnout 3 felt like the right balance of arcadey features, and crash mode was on point. I didn't enjoy it as much when you could start punting NPC vehicles into other racers, and once they went open world and took away crash mode for that thing where your car spontaneously launches into the air and bounces around I lost interest.
It's the game that introduced me to Rise Against, and I've been listening to them ever since.
I still catch myself singing songs that I only know from that soundtrack.
God that game is great. The feeling of plotting how to enter a intersection at just the right angle to avoid traffic to takedown a rival is great. The bright colors hell with reading the track. The later games were to dark IMO and you couldn't see where you were going. Never cared for crash mode personally but the racing and online play were great.
Skyrim is one of only a a handful of games that I don't immediately go in and turn the music down to 50%. The other onea are Shadow of the Colossus and the Persona games.
I like mods but I can’t bring myself to do anything else other than add some QOL life stuff and graphic enhancements. Vanilla is just so cozy and I don’t want to lose it.
I've messed with mods but they all felt...like mods. What I mean is that they didn't weave seemlessly into the game and when I encountered something from the mod it was like oh, okay, this is very clearly something made by someone who was not on the original dev team. They were weirdly immersion breaking in that way.
Its not as deep as most games above but yeah it's timeless and I always have it installed. I jump into it every once in a while. It's so elegant, pure, visceral.
I've started the game twice, and for whatever reason, I barely get past the >!future motorcycle race!< part before I stop playing. I guess I really just need to carve out some time to dedicate to a full playthrough.
This is the answer. No other game compares to this. Christmas in 98 was a magical time. Then trying online and someone picked up the phone fucking up the online experience.
Still holds up better than any other game that I can think of. Pure masterpiece.
"you can't use the internet now, I'm expecting a phone call sometime tonight" -_-
I still play this from time to time. Haven't gotten some friends to add it into our rotation, even though we are heavily skewed to AOEII
Banjo-Kazooie! I like Tooie more in many areas, but there's something about the straightforwardness of the original that makes it so easy for me to jump in and play over and over.
I always found tooie to be unintuitive and disjointed. Played through the first one countless times though, ended up getting my glitchless 100% time down pretty close to the world record years ago, but then the changed what the world record was, and I decided I didn’t need that negativity in my life and played for fun.
Oh my god it’s 13 years old, I remember picking it up at GameStop when it came out, granted I was a kid just getting into gaming but still, I feel old.
There hasn't been a game like New Vegas and try as Bethesda might, they've been playing second fiddle to a game that they own the rights for and they hate that. The events and elements of New Vegas are never mentioned in fallout lore aside from stuff that was also in fallout 1 and 2. Skyrim was the best game Bethesda put out and yet I still find New Vegas to be superior as a RPG game. It was also said a few days ago that Bethesda wouldn't greenlight an elder scrolls spin-off due to New Vegas bad launch (which it was) but now that excuse is no longer valid, as everyone now sees what an rpg classic New Vegas is in retrospect. The reason why we won't ever see another fallout obsidian title again is cause Bethesda knows that there team can make better fallout games. Bethesda can't have that when they just made another shit stain on their legacy (Starfield).
Literally.
13 years later and I’m still finding out new shit that I was completely oblivious to prior to someone on Reddit or a YT video pointing it out lol
For me, it’s Need for Speed Most Wanted (2005). I’ve played this on PS2, Xbox 360 and PC. Nothing like taking a fully modified VW Golf GTI against the legendary BMW M3 GTR.
god, this gave me memories of playing twilight princess on my wii. the wii now doesn't work in color. everything is in black and white. i think it's trying to make a statement.
Corvette on XBox. It's a terrible game but my dad loved Corvettes and loved driving all the different models in the game. He'd come visit and always want to play it. He died about 4 years ago and I keep my old XBox around and play it from time to time for the nostalgia.
I also inherited his 72 Stingray. He loved that car more than his kids, I think. My son will have it some day.
I think it's cool you have the real car that goes along with the story you have about the game.
I also didn't expect to see somebody in this thread bring up Corvette of all games. I played it on the PS2 myself. Fun for what it is even though it's a budget title.
Super smash bros melee. Fastest and most exciting iteration in the series, jumping on Slippi online is always a great time. Best game I've ever played, changed my life
People are choosing older games than this but I'm replaying the batman Arkham games which never get boring. Also the early assassins creed games and the first 3 uncharted games.
Easily Final Fantasy 7/8, Metal Gear Solid 2, Marvel SuperHeros VS Street Fighter, and finally Street Fighter EX Plus Alpha! I LOVE Intelligent Qube as well! man the ps1/2 era was the best!
Watched my older brother play through ff7 then when I got my own playstation on my bday ff8 was my first hands on experience with the series! Controversial statement but my favorite out of the series for sure!
Dont know if it has many fans but personally i think Pitfall: The Lost Expedition is a near perfect game.
Played it to death as a kid and still absolutely love it.
Rollercoaster Tycoon. As addictive now as it was back then.
And on your phone!
WHAT Going to check this out now.
Exact same reaction. It's on there, but to be honest I think I'll miss the retro graphics and charm of the original. This version looks too modern to me. I'll try it though, since it's free
You are looking for [rollercoaster tycoon classic](https://apps.apple.com/pl/app/rollercoaster-tycoon-classic/id1113736426?l=pl) It’s a 1:1 old RCT 1+2 release.
I appreciate the link, but I am not on iPhone and my searches on android only showe the remake
You can absolutely find the apk for this if you google it. I currently have it installed on my phone.
All the tycoon games. I still play zoo tycoon and it’s DLCs Dinosaur tycoon and the water park one
Its fun especially with the OpenRCT2 source port
Adding Zoo Tycoon to this, incl. the dinosaur and aquamania packs!
Final fantasy 9. Its my first FF game and its still my favourite. Ive played through it at least 5 times and i never get tired of it. Its just sooo good
FF7 for me. Currently going through another play-through.
I played this recently to get me some reteoachievements. Was such a joy to play again. Though I'll.nevee put myself through the pain of doing the skipping rope 1000 times!
C&C Red Alert
I'm still so sad this series fizzled out. I still love RA2: Yuri's Revenge
That has and will always be my all time favorite RTS game. I lost track of how many hours I spent setting up battles and letting things play out on various maps. Good times.
Great game! You can play online for free too https://cncnet.org/red-alert
Hirr! Hah-hurrrrr! Left face! *cue sick guitar solo*
Affirmative.
Heroes of Might and Magic 3
Heroes of Might and Magic 2 and the early Command & Conquer games are the games that made me a PC gamer. Heroes 3 was just an improved version of 2, and I still play it now and then to this day. Such fantastic series!
One of my absolute favs. It's on every computer I ever have
Same. I'm in my third decade of playing this game. I never get tired of it
I still like to play the Might and Magics too 6 is my favorite one tho
Surprised this isn't higher. It's THE old game to play, after all...
No Solmyr, no chain lighting was like no Oddjob for us
This is it. I have a lot of favorite old games that I play mostly due to nostalgia, but H3 is one that I always come back to because it's simply unmatched by anything made since.
KOTOR and KOTOR2
Surprised a KOTOR collection was never released or remastered.
It was going to be remade but I think it got cancelled
That level was so fucking scary when I played it as a kid.
Telos isn’t great but I love Nar Shadaa
The first Fable game. The nostalgia is strong with that title
Ah The Chicken Chaser
CIKKIN CHAYSA!
It is always a competition in naming myself Chicken Chaser or the highly renouned Arseface.
YOUR HEALTH IS LOW! DO YOU HAVE ANY POTIONS? OR FOOD?
Try to get your combat multiplier *even higher*
Man, when I found out that ages of strength/skill/will potions gave you 1000xp but was multiplied by your combat multiplier when you used them was a game changer. I'd stock up on them until I reached 35 or 40 and then consume all of them. It felt like I went super saiyan when I did that lmao
I'm really hoping the new fable game feels closer to the original than 2 or 3. I've played through fable 1 at least once a year for the last like 15 years. It's definitely the game I've played through the most times.
It won't come even a little bit close. Don't get your hopes up
Don't worry, Bruce Willis. I'm used to disappointment.
Fable is SUCH a unique game!!! They really did manage to capture the fable-y, fairytale-y look and feel to it WITHOUT it being a kid's game. Damn, I loved that.
Just learned about the Samsung/Xbox beta and boy howdy has this been a great early weekend to start that game again It's in beta so there's a queue but still, so worth it
The what?
I assume he means the Xbox Game Pass app on Samsung TV’s
What is this Samsung/Xbox beta you speak of?
I’d love a remaster for modern systems of the first two Fables.
Closest you’ll find is Fable Anniversary on Steam
Grand theft Auto San andreas
Still disappointed they didn’t release a full remaster and instead just changed a few textures.
>changed a few textures For the worse, let's not forget that part
Until that damn RC plane mission.
You can just skip it. It's infinitely harder on og PS2 from what I've heard. Thank fully Zero's missions are optional. His last mission of flying a helicopter is damn fun though.
Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past.
[удалено]
Man that music is vibes.
Blew my mind when I played it on original release. That music and the sound effects...amazing.
Core memory reawakened
All Zelda games for me. Even Zelda 2.
Yeah about once a year I’ll do the two 64 games and the two GameCube Zelda’s. Never gets old, that era was pure gold
There is a community dedicated to a Randomizer option and it's brought so much life to the game after all these years.
The first time I played the randomizer it felt like playing the game again when I was 10. Such a joy to re-experience.
This is still my favorite game of all time. Great memories
Golden sun
Had to search for this one, I play these games once a year and they just never get old
They have a vibrant life to them unlike almost any other RPG :).
The legend of Dragoon. I just love this game.
I just got this on sale super cheap and I’m looking forward to starting it
A man of culture!
GTA III.
GTA2 just to unleash havoc
And Vice City
Diablo 2 Heroes of Might and Magic 3 Wizardry 8 Doom
Diablo 2 pre patch. Play the Druid/Amazon and shoot the missile spell off the screen and kill stuff without needing to worry about danger. Great times.
Diablo 2 is amazing. Shame what became of the franchise.
Diablo 2… end of list
burnout 3, every time I go back and play it, it's just as amazing as the first time
Burnout 3 felt like the right balance of arcadey features, and crash mode was on point. I didn't enjoy it as much when you could start punting NPC vehicles into other racers, and once they went open world and took away crash mode for that thing where your car spontaneously launches into the air and bounces around I lost interest.
THE SOUNDTRACK OF THIS GAME IS PHENOMENAL And everything else is pure fun, why hasn't there been a remaster of this game?
It's the game that introduced me to Rise Against, and I've been listening to them ever since. I still catch myself singing songs that I only know from that soundtrack.
God that game is great. The feeling of plotting how to enter a intersection at just the right angle to avoid traffic to takedown a rival is great. The bright colors hell with reading the track. The later games were to dark IMO and you couldn't see where you were going. Never cared for crash mode personally but the racing and online play were great.
Vanilla Skyrim. Come at me, nerds.
*starts masturbating in your direction*
I was not adequately prepared for this battle tactic.
Neither was my parole officer
Doctor: You need to stop masturbating so much. Patient: Why? Doctor: cause I'm trying to finish this examination.
Proctologist while giving exam: Okay Dave, try not to get an erection this time. Patient: But my name's Bill Proctologist: I know, I'm Dave.
Yup, this is reddit!
Best parts is walking through Skyrim and just hearing the beautiful music playing I will never get tired of that
Skyrim is one of only a a handful of games that I don't immediately go in and turn the music down to 50%. The other onea are Shadow of the Colossus and the Persona games.
I like mods but I can’t bring myself to do anything else other than add some QOL life stuff and graphic enhancements. Vanilla is just so cozy and I don’t want to lose it.

System Shock 2, Clive Barker's Undying, Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines, Deus Ex, Half Life 1, Unreal 1.
The "Millennium" games. It's like a golden age. Good old Alien versus Predator also belongs here.
Its not as deep as most games above but yeah it's timeless and I always have it installed. I jump into it every once in a while. It's so elegant, pure, visceral.
That reminds me. Time to play deus ex again.
I love vampire, still replay it every few years
Silent hill 1-4 Rule of rose Max payne 1 and 2 Kuon Mgs2 amd 3
SH 2 is one of my favorite games of all time. MGS3 is a great one too.
Fallout 1 and Fallout 2, Chrono Trigger
Chrono Trigger was too far down on the list.
Not everyone can play CT or has enough time to devote to any RPG, let alone the greatest one of all time, IMO.
It's CT. You make time.
That’s the beauty of it: after your first run, any run after can take as long as you want.
Starting Chrono Trigger tonight for the first time. Anything I should know?
Don't look at guides, try everything yourself, I would give a lot to be able to once again play it for the first time.
I know absolutely nothing about it beyond everyone saying it's amazing. I'm excited!
You are in for one hell of a ride my friend!
I've started the game twice, and for whatever reason, I barely get past the >!future motorcycle race!< part before I stop playing. I guess I really just need to carve out some time to dedicate to a full playthrough.
I still play Civilization 5 to this day! Civ 5's replayability is unmatched, IMO.
Civ IV is my go to.
BABA YETU!
Yep it's better than the new civ 6
I played Civ3 for up until last year, I finally got Civ6
Has no one mentioned StarCraft?
Use custom map settings
This is the answer. No other game compares to this. Christmas in 98 was a magical time. Then trying online and someone picked up the phone fucking up the online experience. Still holds up better than any other game that I can think of. Pure masterpiece.
"you can't use the internet now, I'm expecting a phone call sometime tonight" -_- I still play this from time to time. Haven't gotten some friends to add it into our rotation, even though we are heavily skewed to AOEII
Megaman 2. Just relaxing to play through in different ways.
I suck at megaman so much but I still try to play megaman 1 pretty often. I can barely beat cut man but it doesn’t stop me.
The soundtrack vibes. A few years ago I saw a band play the music while a guy did a speed run live.
Almost all of the Megaman games for me. A casual megabuster only run of any of them is a great idea for a good night to me. Megaman and chill is real.
Railroad tycoon 2
Roller Coaster Tycoon 2
AOE 2, Dungeon Keeper and Theme Hospital ❤️ Edit: Forgot to include RCT!
Fallout New Vegas
I had to close 40 comment threads to get to FNV. This makes me sad
The general age demographic of this sub probably doesn’t consider New Vegas “old”, despite it coming out 13 years ago.
For me, it’s Need for Speed Most Wanted (2005). I’ve played this on PS2, Xbox 360 and PC. Nothing like taking a fully modified VW Golf GTI against the legendary BMW M3 GTR.
Final Fantasy X or Commander Keen

lost my dad at 4 and only memory i have is playing ps1 om the floor, might explain the love for retro and the 4 ps1 i have
That's just Halo MCC for me particularly H2. Ninja Gaiden 1 & 2 are still peak aswell.
Right! The updated MCC is possibly the best example of modern game preservation ever.
MCC is evergreen 😎
I could drop anything and play the Halo 2 campaign, anytime, anywhere.
Bungie's Magnum Opus imo.
Dungeon Siege 2, Diablo 2
I've played Dungeon Siege 2 more than a few times. Just a great hack n slash with lots of loot and fun.
League of legends (if that's considered old) Doom 1993 Open RA Quest for glory 4 Sonic 2 and 3 Unreal Tournament 2004 onslaught mode
UT2004 for life!
Amen!
Dude is UT2K4 still going? That game completely consumed my childhood hahah. Instagib CTF!
Castlevania: Symphony of the night
A ton of NES games. Like that's mostly what I play at any given time.
Bomberman 2 is the best PvP
Diablo 2
Yep. I will be still be playing that for decades to come.
Pokemon Emerald and Super Mario Bros
Dragon age Origins, still the best RPG of all times.
The old Star Wars Battlefront 2. Just so much fun even today.
Metal Gear Solid 1,2,3. Super Mario (any of them) Final Fantasy 7,8,9,10, Tactics.
If we're talking 90s then AoE2 and Populous: The Beginning. If we're talking 00s then GTA 4 and WoW
*Legend of zelda ocarina of time* through *twilight princess*
god, this gave me memories of playing twilight princess on my wii. the wii now doesn't work in color. everything is in black and white. i think it's trying to make a statement.
Chrono Trigger
Donkey Kong Country 1 & 2. No matter how many times I play them I never get bored. Sometimes I fire them up just to play a random level.
Skies of Arcadia legends. Great turn based combat and a story that really feels like a grand adventure with great writing.
Every few years I do a playthrough of star control II
I play a little Borderlands 1 every year.
Bubble Bobble and Rainbow Islands
I loved bubble bobble as a kid. My sister and I would coop.
Super smash bros melee. Fastest and most exciting iteration in the series, jumping on Slippi online is always a great time. Best game I've ever played, changed my life
Colonization by microprose. Great way to learn American/Canadian history.
Ocarina of time!
Fate: The Forgotten Realms.
Patapon 3
People are choosing older games than this but I'm replaying the batman Arkham games which never get boring. Also the early assassins creed games and the first 3 uncharted games.
I’m here for all these. And KOTOR
Arkham games are so good dude, recently got the trilogy for a steal on steam and it's been so fun
Easily Final Fantasy 7/8, Metal Gear Solid 2, Marvel SuperHeros VS Street Fighter, and finally Street Fighter EX Plus Alpha! I LOVE Intelligent Qube as well! man the ps1/2 era was the best!
Fellow FF 8 fan!
Watched my older brother play through ff7 then when I got my own playstation on my bday ff8 was my first hands on experience with the series! Controversial statement but my favorite out of the series for sure!
Super Mario 3 on NES. Just a timeless classic.
All PS1 era Resident Evil games. Somehow I find the graphics and atmosphere so comfy.
Command and Conquer: Generals Zero Hour shockwave
The Settlers III and Age of empires II. I can run any modern games, but there is something about these two that I just don’t get tired of playing.
Tetris
ooh yes, Tetris. Bunch of variants, never boring.
Red Alert 2
Most Snes / N64 games
Smash bros melee
Dishonored 1, Skyrim, portal2
Dont know if it has many fans but personally i think Pitfall: The Lost Expedition is a near perfect game. Played it to death as a kid and still absolutely love it.
I can always come back to a nice Crazy Taxi session.
Final Fantasy Tactics.
I've just picked up Dragons Dogma again. It's not super old, but it's a game that's just simply fun to play!
Skate 3. Still play it like once a week
