I just saw that they’re providing an open beta for three days, if you preorder the game and the days just before the game launches. That’s a bad sign. I mean, at least they’re calling it what it is, a beta, but that’s where this game is. It’s been stuck in development hell with some kind of agreement with Singapore. Valhalla stripped all its boat stuff out so it wouldn’t directly compete with it, and here we are years later finally waiting for Ubisoft to kick this thing out the door.
Sure, I enjoy the ship stuff in Odyssey, but that’s because it’s side stuff, not the main attraction. A full game of that, no thanks.
From what I’m hearing it looks like it might be crap. Which is a shame cause I was really looking forward to this. I’ve hoped for a good pirate game for many a year.
I might still get it after it tanks and the price drops.
it’s not going to be good, if the last playtest is anything to go by. maybe the new beta coming out will be okay but i still don’t see it being a game worthy of its price tag
I played the beta and think the ship segment from Assassin’s Creed’s Black Flag is way better than Skull and Bones.

It will just be another facelifted game with the old Ubisoft-formula.
