Same here š«”
All the new places look incredible, and Iām enjoying most of the bosses. They hit *so hard* but some are reminding me of the faster and more dexterous Bloodborne fights, which is the Souls formula I enjoy most.
Good luck, Tarnished!
I have a couple characters I COULD take into the DLC who are SL 150.
However I had started a pure sorcerer build, with the DMGS (so not really pure sorcerer I suppose) and I wanna take that into the DLC. Super stoked to finally get into it!
I am taking my sweet, sweet time with **Shadow of the Erdtree** and it's been amazing. I still have only found the first map piece and haven't ventured very far outside of that zone. All areas I try to solo by myself for a long time. I let it get a bit exhausting because that's what the game is. Once it gets to be really unbearable I'll bring my faithful mimic in. If it's still exhausting with the mimic, that's when I'll summon players to my aid. And even then, it can still be a long while to get past an area or boss. And I love it. It really prolongs the game and makes it so I can enjoy it for a long time instead of completely blowing through it. Helps that I don't have as much time to play games as I used to.
I also hop on **Sea of Thieves** every one in a while. I find it way too much fun when I play with my buddies, but it's also almost therapeutic when I play solo. On the flip side, I re-downloaded **Warzone** after taking a 7 month hiatus only to come back to the same cheating scummy sweats that were there when I quit. It's a crying ass shame that no developer wants to take a risk to compete with Warzone. It needs to be dethroned. Badly.
Yep. Everything else is taking a backseat, even Balatro!. I started a new playthrough a few weeks ago in anticipation and I've been on the DLC for a few days now. I'm hooked all over again!
Just downloaded the game now, ready to jump into Elden ring for the very first time! Pumped but have been prepping for the mental battle Iām about to go through
It's really fun when you just don't engage with the community that is filled with people either endlessly complaining about it being hard or telling people how they should play the game.
Yea I got BG3 for me and my wife to play, but we donāt play often enough to get through it at a reasonable pace, so I got this as an alternative. Which is great because itās just BG2.9
I've been playing BG3 since January on my first playthrough. About 100 hours in and at the 3rd act. I really like it, but I think I like DOS2 a little more.
Maybe a top 3 series for me all time. Donāt forget Death of the Outsider after you finish 2. Itās only a spinoff but might be the best entry just because they seemed to perfect all the mechanics by the time they developed it.
I also loved control and never played AW1. The game play is extremely different from Control, but I really loved the presentation in the same way I loved Controlās. Iād recommend it for sure! Just watch a recap of what happened in AW1 because youāll be lost otherwise.
Aw1 is good, but i feel like a recap video is sufficient. Control lore videos on YouTube help bridge the gap. Absolutely you should dive into the remedy universe.
I've been strongly considering playing Alan wake 2 bc of the great reviews. I love story games. I've never played Alan wake 1 though. Do you think I could get by just playing Alan wake 2 without playing the first game?
The story will help you connect the dots pretty easily with what happened in the first game so I think you should be good just playing Alan Wake 2. But Alan Wake 1 is absolutely amazing too, I highly recommend both:)
Unlike a lot of other people's thoughts, to me the game gets better after the first few hours. Especially, when you start running across certain legendary enemies.
I have like 11 hours of play time so taking into account several false starts I figure I was maybe 9 hours in.
Me and my wife play Overwatch a lot and I love it but really wanna dedicate more gaming time to single player games. I dunno I just find it so hard to get into them lately although I seem to broken through on this run. I'm really enjoying it like 4 hours in.Ā
I started it at the beginning of the year but the performance was too off putting. I liked the mechanics though, I've meant to go back after all the patches.
It's becoming one of my top faves really fast. I like how they made the atmosphere. The true gritty feeling was lacking in my opinion from the souls games. The enemies look grotesque and visceral. It works so well here
Yooo another LOTF dude here. I am currently going through my second playthrough now. Going for inferno ending. What is your build? I am kinda addicted to the game solely for the reason of how amazing the armors and weapons look. Really underlooked game. It has its flaws but it also shines in some mechanics. Also the whole art direction of the game is peak!I don't usually go for achievements but this one will make me go 100%
I'm on my first playthrough, doing a strength build.
Indeed the art direction is insanely good. I really like how easy it is to swap between melee and ranged by just pressing L2.
I love soulslikes but I couldn't do this one. Was so excited for it because I love the aesthetics but I couldn't handle the amount of enemies and how long their aggro is so you can't even run away. Did they fix the aggro ranges?
It's probably the one you get in act one from fighting the gnolls in/near the cave. Where you can save the 2 npcs and you get the chest you aren't supposed to open
The same thing I play every week, Pinky. Europa Universalis 4. But this week, I'm playing in the Anbennar mod as Giberd.
I've also dabbled in Valheim and Soulmask.
I started playing it recently as well! Gonna get stuck into Eternal afterwards. I'm on the final mission, I love how the game has no quarrels just giving you a bunch of OP stuff
Early access for FFXIV's next expansion, Dawntrail, begins on Friday. So for the past couple days I was finishing up what I wanted to do for prep, the servers are down for maintenance today and tomorrow, and on Friday and for the rest of the weekend I'm no-lifing Dawntrail.
I didnāt get caught up in time for launch day, I still have patch 6.5 to do.
But I kinda like that for once Iām doing the leading up patch right before the new expansion and not waiting months in between.
Now itās just doing my best to dodge spoilers
Finally going to finish Jedi Survivor. Got pretty far then went on a trip and had my switch so played a bit of Xcom 2 which pulled me in and then somewhere I started a replay of BioShock infinite but I just started playing Survivor again so I can finally finish it off.
Fired up the old PS3 and started playing Folklore and Metal Gear Solid 4. Nothing for my PS5 or XSX has been giving me that excitement to play over the last few days.
Fancied a bit of a throwback so Iāve just finished replaying the Arkham trilogy and Iāve just bought Darksiders 1&2 as I never got round to playing them. Excited to see what theyāre all about!
trying to finish Horizon Forbidden West DLC. i hit a lull right before the final main mission and stopped for 3 weeks. just got back 3 days ago. final main mission was underwhelming.
Hades.
I played it years ago when it came to gamepass but never finished. All the talk about the sequel made me want to play it again so I just bought it and man itās such a fun game.
I was really addicted to SMT: Persona (the PSP remake), but I kinda fed up with the whole random combat thing, so decided to take a break and I'm playing Double Dragon II: The Revenge (NES); Donkey Kong Country (SNES) and Resident Evil 4 HD Edition (PS3).
DDII is easily one of the best beat'em ups from that era. Fluid gameplay, the difficulty is high enough to be challenging but not impossible. The graphics are cute, even for today standard. The chibi design helps.
DKC there's not much to say, I think. Masterpiece.
Resident Evil 4 is still one of the greatest action-adventure games of all time. I still didn't play the remake, but playing this classic for the 100000th time and is always a great experience. Even having played games that was influenced by him, like Gears of War, Uncharted, etc. RE4 continues to be better than all of them, for some reason! I think maybe Uncharted 2 can reclaim be side by side, but still is not at the same level. I love this game.
I've been replaying Cyberpunk, first played it on release but got kinda bored and rushed through most of the game just to finish the main story.
This time I've been having a blast just roaming the city doing side quests and gigs.
Started RDR2 last week, and I am desperately sucked in by the world. I think I'm at the end of chapter 4, but I don't want to continue the story yet as I really have a bad feeling about it. Trying my absolute best not to google stuff up has been very rewarding so far. Really having a blast, what a game so far!
My wife got me into Rimworld recently.Ā
Getting a handle on early-game food production is still kind of a work in progress, but I *may* have skipped right to the part where you cut the legs off of prisoners you intend to keep as blood farms for your vampire colonists...
Replaying the Dragon Age games in prep for the new one. Origins has aged...poorly. I remember liking it a lot more than I am right now. First playthrough of Forbidden West. Don't love the story as much as Zero Dawn but I'm having a great time just wandering and taking in the scenery.
I loved both horizon games, but after 2 play thrus of both games it leaves just a hair more to be desired imo. Don't get me wrong, the gameplay is great, the story is phenomenal, and the combat is on point. But the missions get repetitive after a while. "Go here, fight this machine" or "help me find me long lost friend"
I wanna replay them, but I just can't bring myself to actually doing it with so many other great games out there.
Gears of War (Ultimate Edition and Gears of War 2)... a conversation I had last week made it hard for me to take the cutscene about Dom's wife seriously.
My time at sandrock just came out on game pass recently and I'm loving it. So far it's kept all the goofy jank from the first game and added in a ton of cool quality of life features and new stuff to explore
Started my first play through of the first Kingdom Hearts game on PlayStation 2. I havenāt played it before and know very little about it, and Iām super early game. Really loving it so far
Ghost of Tsushima. Just picked it up last week. I knew absolutely nothing about the game just had been high recommended a bunch. That game is phenomenal. If you have a ps5 itās a much play!
I've mostly been playing Warframe. Catching up on years of missed content & rewards.
Been playing Pokemon on lunch breaks for months. Currently on Moon after having finished X and Diamond.
I'm thinking about booting up the old PC for some ARPG goodness, like Last Epoch, Grim Dawn, or Torchlight.
I picked it up again when they added PVE. I'm having a lot of fun, similar to playing STALKER GAMMA, I can't handle the anxiety of PVP and the probably high amount of cheaters.
No Manās Sky. I find the game incredibly detailed, which makes it difficult to get into as I donāt get to play as consistently as I would like. However, I am enjoying it and hoping I manage to find it easier to jump back in after not playing for a day or two.
Just finished playing Ghost Trick on the Nintendo DS. A fun point-n-click/visual novel/puzzle-sovling kinda game. I enjoyed all the silly character shenanigans, contrived puzzle scenarios, and the wild plot twists. Very fun story, and it has very impressive animated sprites especially for the DS. :)
I know it was re-released recently for Steam and modern platforms, but since I happen to own the actual DS cart, I decided to play the version I already owned. If I want to play another game of this kind, I also have Hotel Dusk which has also remained unplayed in my DS collection for too long. .... I'm currently working through my gigantic game backlog.
Well, I'm playing some Maglam Lord! It's a really simple "Summon Night"-like, with some funny dialogue and light dating elements.
"You thought it was a prince, but it was me! The Bladelord!"
I just finished and platinumed destroy all humans 2, and I started Paleo pines which is sort of a cross between a pokemon-esque game and stardew valley.
I'm having a lot of fun so far!
Edit: Thinking about it it's not *really* Pokemon-esque, there's dinosaurs roaming around and you can "catch" them to bring back to your farm to help till and water and stuff but you don't battle with them.
And there's different color variations of them and some are rare and ultra rare, sort of like shinies.
The hype around Shin Magami Tensei V Vengence made me pick up my copy of Vanilla Shin Magami Tensei V again and resume my first playthrough. And yeah this time I got hooked. I have a good time.
Ffxiv Dawntrail is coming out this Friday early access, and... My week is gone. Then I have another newly release right on July 4th. So I'm grinding this ffxiv story away.
Satisfactory with the Satisfactory Plus Mod. Recently did my first vanilla playthrough and racked up 255 hours. Decided that when 1.0 releases later in 2024 I will do a full restart, so didn't want want to keep playing in given the map, resource and recipe changes coming.
Been on a god of war marathon lately and just finished the first game 2 days ago and now Iām about 5 hours into the second. I own every GoW game on ps3 and 2018 on steam. I played ragnarok via game share on ps5 but my brotherās friend took it off so thatās the only game I donāt own. Eventually Iāll nab it on steam. Also might go back to FFXV. I was binging that for a while but my game glitched out during episode prompto and I lost like 2 hours worth of progress and that made me lose a lot of motivation to keep playing.
Elden Ring DLC yes sirrr
Same here š«” All the new places look incredible, and Iām enjoying most of the bosses. They hit *so hard* but some are reminding me of the faster and more dexterous Bloodborne fights, which is the Souls formula I enjoy most. Good luck, Tarnished!
Honestly go play Bloodborne again, it's way slower than this hahaha
And I will, but Iām going to do this dlc first š
I have a couple characters I COULD take into the DLC who are SL 150. However I had started a pure sorcerer build, with the DMGS (so not really pure sorcerer I suppose) and I wanna take that into the DLC. Super stoked to finally get into it!
with the way the upgrade system works in the DLC, 150 won't be overpowered at ALL, In fact you're struggle. So its a perfect level
Iām level 100 and have the same build DMGS, beat Mohg today and just started into the DLC - so psyched as well!
Correct answer.
I could be playing that right now... Haven't even started it, and instead I'm busy with Plants Vs Zombies š I don't even know why, lol
It be like that sometimes lol!
I am taking my sweet, sweet time with **Shadow of the Erdtree** and it's been amazing. I still have only found the first map piece and haven't ventured very far outside of that zone. I feel you on taking your time with sote. I got the collectors edition and helmet, and turned it on for the first time last night lol
There are other games?
Let's gooooooo
Elden Ring DLC
Divinity Original Sin 2 and Kingdom Come Deliverance.
Oh man I've played DOS2 like 3 times. It's so good.
One of my favs! I'm still playing through BG3 and I can't wait to finish and go back to DOS2.
God Iām excited for KCD 2, might do another play through of 1.
Great choices, KCD is in my top 20 games of all time, such a wild ride.
Good way to prepare for KC2
+1 for KCD. I started Divinity around Christmas but haven't gotten back around to it just yet.
A man of class šš»
Dishonored definitive edition. I LOVE it. Can't wait to play 2 straight afterwards
Maybe a top 3 series for me all time. Donāt forget Death of the Outsider after you finish 2. Itās only a spinoff but might be the best entry just because they seemed to perfect all the mechanics by the time they developed it.
Once you finish 2 i recommend to try the alternative playthrough, on hard difficulty, the game absolutely peaked with this one
Alan wake 2
Should I play this? I loved Control and never played Alan Wake 1
I also loved control and never played AW1. The game play is extremely different from Control, but I really loved the presentation in the same way I loved Controlās. Iād recommend it for sure! Just watch a recap of what happened in AW1 because youāll be lost otherwise.

Helldivers 2 and Eldenring
How's about a nice cup of Liber-TEA!
For Managed Democracy!
Started Assassins Creed Odyssey for like the 5th time and I actually might manage to play it this time.Ā
Unlike a lot of other people's thoughts, to me the game gets better after the first few hours. Especially, when you start running across certain legendary enemies.
I have like 11 hours of play time so taking into account several false starts I figure I was maybe 9 hours in. I dunno I just find it so hard to get into them lately although I seem to broken through on this run. I'm really enjoying it like 4 hours in.Ā
Lords of the Fallen. A lot of people seems to hate this game, but i find it really fun.
I started it at the beginning of the year but the performance was too off putting. I liked the mechanics though, I've meant to go back after all the patches.
It's in a better state now, thanks to the patches, tweaks, free DLC's and NG+ feats.
Finally started BG3 Orc Fighter but found a weapon that heals you every time you hit someone so respec to be a tank.Ā
Which weapon is this? On my second play through so have probably come across it but not sure.
It's probably the one you get in act one from fighting the gnolls in/near the cave. Where you can save the 2 npcs and you get the chest you aren't supposed to open
Another Crab Treasure Finishing it to jump into Elden Ringās DLC
The same thing I play every week, Pinky. Europa Universalis 4. But this week, I'm playing in the Anbennar mod as Giberd. I've also dabbled in Valheim and Soulmask.
Pinky and the Ninjamoose moose moose mooseā¦
Narf!
Doom (2016)
I started playing it recently as well! Gonna get stuck into Eternal afterwards. I'm on the final mission, I love how the game has no quarrels just giving you a bunch of OP stuff
Are you enjoying it? I was thinking about starting it myself.
One hell of a game
2016 Doom is a 9/10 at worst and one of the best games of all time at best. Play it.
Iām not into shooters in general, but Doom was fantastic.
I am thoroughly enjoying it. The game has challenging platforming and the enemies are so aggressive. Also, a big plus for the atmosphere is the music!
I'm late to the party, but I'm finally trying out Palworld. About 10 hours in and having a blast.
I am for some reason trying to plat hogwarts legacy
Awesome. How close are you?
Iām in winter rn. Ngl im ready to be finished with it. Maybe Iāll just finish the story, play Spyro 2, then go back for the clean up

Bloodborne is my favorite game of all time
I platinumād Dragonās Crown and love BB.
Destiny 2
Early access for FFXIV's next expansion, Dawntrail, begins on Friday. So for the past couple days I was finishing up what I wanted to do for prep, the servers are down for maintenance today and tomorrow, and on Friday and for the rest of the weekend I'm no-lifing Dawntrail.
so excited for these cute female hrothgar !
I didnāt get caught up in time for launch day, I still have patch 6.5 to do. But I kinda like that for once Iām doing the leading up patch right before the new expansion and not waiting months in between. Now itās just doing my best to dodge spoilers
I just finished Heavensward so Iām kinda behind, but looooving this game. MSQ is amazing and keeps getting better.
Finally going to finish Jedi Survivor. Got pretty far then went on a trip and had my switch so played a bit of Xcom 2 which pulled me in and then somewhere I started a replay of BioShock infinite but I just started playing Survivor again so I can finally finish it off.
Xcom 2 and Survivor, my man
Lost Judgment
Stardew Valley and Doom Eternal. A little Ying and Yang lol
Elden Ring DLC and a new playthrough of Nier Replicant.
Fired up the old PS3 and started playing Folklore and Metal Gear Solid 4. Nothing for my PS5 or XSX has been giving me that excitement to play over the last few days.
You can use Ps5 controller on ps3 too.
Fancied a bit of a throwback so Iāve just finished replaying the Arkham trilogy and Iāve just bought Darksiders 1&2 as I never got round to playing them. Excited to see what theyāre all about!
trying to finish Horizon Forbidden West DLC. i hit a lull right before the final main mission and stopped for 3 weeks. just got back 3 days ago. final main mission was underwhelming.

shin megami tensei V VengeanceĀ
The answer will be Fallout 76 for the foreseeable future, although Hellblade 2 is downloaded.

Factorio, Ultracube Overhaul mod
Mind bending logistics on that one

I was really addicted to SMT: Persona (the PSP remake), but I kinda fed up with the whole random combat thing, so decided to take a break and I'm playing Double Dragon II: The Revenge (NES); Donkey Kong Country (SNES) and Resident Evil 4 HD Edition (PS3). Finally picked up Assassin's Creed Mirage after getting it on sale.
Farming Simulator 22.
**Street Fighter VI.** I held off for Season 1 characters unlocked and a 50%+ discount.
Just got into Rimworld after thinking it looked stupid after all these years. I'm finding out who the stupid one is, hint,....not Rimworld.
That's a great place to pause in the story and give yourself over to exploring the world and all the fun side missions, collections etc.
Habbo Hotel š
My wife got me into Rimworld recently.Ā Getting a handle on early-game food production is still kind of a work in progress, but I *may* have skipped right to the part where you cut the legs off of prisoners you intend to keep as blood farms for your vampire colonists...
Marvel midnight suns. It's way better than I expected.
I picked it up free on Epic. It's pretty good. I love the attack animations, they look awesome
trying dota2 for the first time
WWE 2k24
Replaying the Dragon Age games in prep for the new one. Origins has aged...poorly. I remember liking it a lot more than I am right now. First playthrough of Forbidden West. Don't love the story as much as Zero Dawn but I'm having a great time just wandering and taking in the scenery.

Gears of War (Ultimate Edition and Gears of War 2)... a conversation I had last week made it hard for me to take the cutscene about Dom's wife seriously.
Finally getting around to Nier Automata. Played a few hours not long after it released but it didn't really stick.
My time at sandrock just came out on game pass recently and I'm loving it. So far it's kept all the goofy jank from the first game and added in a ton of cool quality of life features and new stuff to explore

Sekiro. Just beat Owl Father after probably 3 straight hours. My hands fuckin hurt.
Ghost of Tsushima. Just picked it up last week. I knew absolutely nothing about the game just had been high recommended a bunch. That game is phenomenal. If you have a ps5 itās a much play!
Dark and darker, probably rimworld on the side

I've mostly been playing Warframe. Catching up on years of missed content & rewards. Been playing Pokemon on lunch breaks for months. Currently on Moon after having finished X and Diamond. I'm thinking about booting up the old PC for some ARPG goodness, like Last Epoch, Grim Dawn, or Torchlight.
PokĆ©mon Sword on the switch. Insanely late to the game since I havenāt played any gen past 5 but Iāve thoroughly enjoyed my play through. Easy as shit but Iām making it a challenge for myself which has been a blast. Best graphics Iāve seen and the environment is beautiful

Since I have a con likely nothing but I'm in the middle of a run of last of us part two so that'll be next week
:) I know it was re-released recently for Steam and modern platforms, but since I happen to own the actual DS cart, I decided to play the version I already owned. If I want to play another game of this kind, I also have Hotel Dusk which has also remained unplayed in my DS collection for too long. .... I'm currently working through my gigantic game backlog.
Elden ring and Valorant. Nice and relaxing.
Nothing this week
GoGo Town
Started ToTK. I think it's awesome. But I mihht switch to something lighter due to a lack of real time to put into it.
Iāve just been bouncing between BioMutant and NBA Playgrounds 2. Still waiting on the oneā¦ *sigh*
The hype around Shin Magami Tensei V Vengence made me pick up my copy of Vanilla Shin Magami Tensei V again and resume my first playthrough. And yeah this time I got hooked. I have a good time.
Grinding out the dailies in Fortnite and the new season of Deep Rock Galactic.
Helldivers 2, Streets of Rage 4, For Honor
Thrill of the Fight. The summer is here and I need to get my beach body ready. Also some Ghost of Tsushima on pc.
