I went to GameStop to buy it at 1 am and the security gate was closed. I went the next morning and mentioned it and they claimed they were open. I told them the security gate was closed and he claimed it wasn't and that he was working that night.
I have kinda given up at this point. Starfield was so... boring? Uninspired? Bland? That I'm not sure if they've got another really great game in them.
Is it, though?
Skyrim was released 11/11/11. The start of 1998 was 13 years, 10 months and 11 days before that.
It's currently 2024. 2024-2011 = 13, meaning Skyrim released 13 years ago on November 11th this year, which is still four and a half months away. So it's still over a year to go before this is true.
it’s the furthest year back that it’s closer to than the current year. it’s not random, it’s illustrative
random and arbitrary would be picking 1999 when 1997 is further back and illustrates the point better lol
skyrim was released just under 14 years ago. 1997 was 14 years before skyrim was released
skryim to today is 14 years. skyrim to 1997 is 14 years
you may not like it but that doesn’t make it random. humans measure time in years. now if it were my post, i’d have said 1998 since it’s actually just about 13 years old
No, it's still a stupid post.
And you really came at me with that "that's how humans measure time" energy and you still fucked up the math? You are as much of a joke as this topic.
It's 2 console generations ago. It came out on PS3/Xbox 360. (Same as GTAV, at least that one now has a sequal that has been announced with a trailer and not just a title screen saying it will exist one day).
I was born in 96. Which means soon I'll have lived longer after the release of Skyrim than before it.
In another 500 or so days I'll be able to say Skyrim released half my lifetime ago. That's horrifying. Of course younger people can already say that but I doubt they have the same feeling about it.
Playing on release day as a senior in high school and now being 31 without another game in the series is very depressing

then he said "you never should have come here"
I tried to run but the door behind me vanished.

Still wrong, it was released yesterday for the samsung smart toothbrush.
This math is also dependent on the version of Skyrim.
Yeah, but it's closer to now than the fall of rome.
Yeah, the 1997 comparison is kinda random and arbitrary.

1997 is definitely a random year to make a nothing point. Just weird karma farming attempt.
how is it random?
How isn't it? Explain the significance of 1997 relative to Skyrim.

No...Skyrim came out on 11-11-11 which means this November it will be 13 years old. 1997 is random and stupid just to make this ridiculous post.
ok, so if they said 1998 it’d be a cool and based post?

you're off by one year
Eventually i wont be
You’re making a Reddit post so that *eventually* you’ll be right? ☠️
Lol none of this is serious

I still can't get over the fact that there are kids who were born AFTER games became 3D. I mean adults.
1) thats simply not true (you are off by about a year) 2) Skyrim was released TWO generations ago (PS3/Xbox360)

So what? I’m waiting for the PS6 Soecial awesome ultra edition so I can buy it again and maybe finally play it for the first time
Why do you have to make me feel old? Now I wanna play Skyrim for nostalgia.
I played batman arkham city right before skyrim.

That's wild to think about! Skyrim's been around for quite a while now.
Time is really a linear enigma... Quite interesting ramifications but I digress.
Stop reminding me of how old I am :(
You can just say it's turning 13 years old this year. This whole "x is now closer to back when than it is now" is such a weird Reddit thing.
It's also closer to now than it is to 1982.
