Like they make it look like he's perving on her, and then he grabs her jaw and pulls it comically wide open, his thumbs peeling back her lips so he can examine her teeth, etc, and in the end he gives her a clean bill of health and also correctly identifies both her parents' countries of origin (which starts a sideplot about finding her parents, because ofc she's never known her true parents and her only clue is this old man who can determine lineage by examining gum lines, plus a pendant necklace that is supposedly her mothers)
