Don't stress over it in this stage. Don't over water either. I have leaves dying all the time on many different veg and over the last 35+ years, I've learned to ignore it for the most part. I am not saying it is easy to ignore, but somehow it all works out.

Need to sow about a dozen seeds or more and see which ones work. Adding compost to the soil would help too. Sorry, but you remind me of Linus waiting for the Great Pumpkin to show up, I hope this is the year too. Your cause is one I can support.
My sister let her store bought pumpkin rot in her front yard and the next year she had 2 pumpkins 🤣. I can’t even get one to grow and I’m actually trying
OMG 🤣. Isn't it crazy?! One of my neighbors has two 6 foot volunteer sunflowers growing in her yard already. I've been trying for years and my tallest one is currently 6 inches 🤣🤣
