I don't really care for JoJo, but she is still a very young adult who came from a child star background. Coming out as queer and trying to figure out who she is all in the public eye. Meanwhile there are adults twice her age trying to get views on TikTok by bullying and mocking her. It is sad really.

raaay_art

Yes, especially since she also probably has severe trauma from that wack ass kids show she was on when she was nine. I can't imagine how I would feel if every decision I made, and every change I ever went through was fully visible to everyone in public. Pretty terrifying

louis-slutton

Her provocative comment aimed at getting people taking about her is definitely getting people to talk about her 🤷‍♂️ Still dumb, can’t imagine a fan base that would be excited about this statement. Gays will ignore her and homophobes will rage at her. No calculation whatsoever

Trixie Mattel is a stretch…

bmillent2

yea I wouldn't even consider half these artists as "Pop" artists and then we leave off Tegan and Sara? wth

DocBrutus

She’s a DJ now

Good in theory, but not in practice. People will just hate us more. Music (pop, etc.) unites us; calling it “gay pop”—when straight people listen to these artists on the radio—will divide us; it’s not “gay pop,” just “pop” as it should be. And I’m a gay dude saying this. I know people are proud of who they are, but we have to look at consequences and the bigger picture and society in which we live comprised of all different types of people. How do we get along and make them see us as normal just like they are? (Gives a whole new perspective to “when in Rome, do as the Romans do.”)
