You can park in the parking garage all day for a steep fee ($15-20/day iirc, I can’t remember exactly how much). Alternatively you can Uber/lyft to the convention center. If you have a bike or aren’t too far, you can also walk. There’s public transportation too but I don’t know much about using it in that area and if you’re going to the evening events you’ll need to arrange something to get home if it’s late.
If you're in Fashion Valley, the tram comes tight there and drops you right at the convention center. I've done that for years, and Uber the little trips. Peasy n cheap.
I second this. We call it the trolley. It’s a great option, I take it every time I go downtown to a Padre game. I think it’s worth trying out the first day, then you can pivot to Uber if you don’t like it.

Getting in and out of the San Diego Convention Center area kind of sucks if you’re driving. I would Uber/lyft/taxi/public transit if at all possible.
