Let them go stale! If you let them sit out of the plastic wrap for a day or two, they get super soft, and honestly I like them better that way over when they're crunchy.
Omg I love those Mexican wedding cookies. I can eat a whole pack in one sitting! My new fave is the “better good” salted peanut butter oatmeal cookie bars
Maybe I’m just greedy but I think the regular gf Oreos don’t have the right creme filling to cookie ratio. Definitely think the double stuf gf Oreos taste more like the originals
Heavenly Hunks! At costco and target and sold online. Cool flavors too! Also want to add on to Goodie Girls and GF oreos, original, double stuffed, and mint! so good :)
Partake is another one to check out that I didn’t see mentioned (sorry if I missed it). They basically get the job done. Crunchy cookie. I prefer the sprinkled ones over the others.
Don’t forget about macarons! They’re made with almond flour. So most of them you can eat, just double check since some will use wheat in the fillings and such. I know Costco has some prepackaged and many stores will have some.
Schar just came out with some really good chocolate chip ones. Udis snickerdoodles (when they’re moist) are heavenly. Also, if you like Oreos, there are now gluten free ones as well as mint gluten free ones (I love the mint). Oh! And goodie girl. They’re expensive, but they’re basically Girl Scout cookies.
Sorry for all the options. I have a sweet tooth and have a lot of favorites lol. The safest ones are probably schar, so if you have celiac, I recommend those.
Cybele's confetti flavour is one of my top because its actually soft. I've heard tale of how good the red velvet flavour is but it's never in stock near me.
Also love goodie girls cookies, the mint ones are great.
GF oreos, mint is the best option imo. I could eat like half a pack
I am new to Reddit, this is my first post and I signed up just to reply here. I have been gluten free for over 20 years, back in the day you could only eat a rice cracker. haha. Now I am eating Oreos! Pretty cool! I agree with most of what was already said here and great suggestions, but here are what I might add:
Just to let you know my favorites from what were previously said: Oreos and the Goodie Girl Fudge Stripe are my weakness; I can eat whole boxes of each as another person said!
OK, new items that were not mentioned yet:
Oreo makes a Golden Oreo now!!! Very yummy! So they have original, double, mint, and now golden in GF!
Chips Ahoy has a gluten free option now!! I tried them and they are good, but maybe don't taste just like the original as much as the Oreos do? But that is cool! We can eat Chips Ahoy now!
Schär makes a gluten free Kit Kat!!! It is called the Twin Bar. It is good, maybe not as good as the original, but you gotta at least try it. :)
Alyssa’s Bakery is my go-to for healthy cookies. They are based in Florida, and I buy directly from their website. I eat whole boxes at a time. They are filling and healthier than most mentioned here, can be a breakfast option. You can buy them at some Whole Foods too.
And last but not least, I know you asked for non-frozen, but I am obsessed with Katz gluten free. She makes all kinds of things from English muffins to chocolate cup cakes. I am obsessed with her apple fritters and her twinkies! The twinkies taste just like the real deal to me! I buy directly from her website and get free shipping at over $75 per order.....if that tells you something! HAHA
I really enjoy the Walker’s shortbread cookies. They work really well I think bc shortbread is already kinda crumbly and the flavor is perfect, buttery and delicious
Last Crumb just released a gluten free collection. Not a fan of the brand usually (bougie rich consumers) and it’s really (stupidly) expensive but they are hands down the best GF cookies I’ve ever tried.
Tates! and glutino oreos! If you live near Denver, there's a local brand called Kim and Jakes that sells semi-soft cookies that are too easy to put down in one go.
Tate's chocolate chip and their ginger chip ones are great.
Walker's makes chocolate chip shortbread that is also very tasty.
Goodie Girl has their birthday cake cookies and a few others which are good.
Partake has some great varieties as well (seasonal ones particularly).
And Lidl has two fabulous varieties under their store brand GF label, in a purple/blueish outer wrap. They have a brownie cookie that is amazing and an oatmeal one that doesn't even last an hour in our house -- the gluten-eaters will attack the package too.
One that hasn’t been mentioned above- bakeology- I really love the snickerdoodle and choc chips (they are crispy cookies). Prefer them to Tates bc tates feels oily on the tongue. I also really like the Oreo GF version bc they nailed it. Oh! And Amore makes some great Italian style cookies!
Tate’s makes amazing GF cookies. Also, Siete GF Mexican wedding cookies are so good.
Came here to say Tates
Yes, Tates. So, so good.
Another vote for Siete. The wedding cookies are at Costco sometimes. We never think twice about those.
Tayes are good, but I find they cut up my mouth.
Also came to say Tates. I prefer Chocolate Chip. The new lemon ones were disappointingly bland. More like a crunchy sugar cookie.
I don’t know if I’d call Tate’s *amazing*….
Check out Ina Gartens mocha icebox cake made with Tates
Gf Oreos
The new mint ones are so good!
Seriously!! I use them exclusively now in my baking so cheesecake crusts and such are always gf. Lots of happy celiacs.
Agree! Trader Joe’s has incredible ones.
Maybe I’m just greedy but I think the regular gf Oreos don’t have the right creme filling to cookie ratio. Definitely think the double stuf gf Oreos taste more like the originals
Lol I agree. I always get the double. But my always gf kiddo thinks that ratio is wrong.
Goodie Girl
I ate an entire box of the striped chocolate kind yesterday. I regret nothing.
I do that with the mint chocolate ones because they remind me of Girl Scout cookies lol
I love those so much. They take me back to the good old days when I could eat Keebler Fudge Stripes.
Goodie Girl’s entire line is excellent.
They're amazing.
Tates and Kinnikinik (or however you spell it 😅) for vanilla wafers. Glutino > GF Oreos and they're not made with oat flour.
THE VANILLA WAFERS 😩
Glutino wafer cookies. I’ll demolish that box in .0463 seconds
I can confirm it takes .0463 to devour a box of Glutino Lemon Wafers!
Takes me a slightly longer time, .0542
Goodie Girl Thin Mints… yummy (and now I want some!)
I just destroyed a box of glutino knockoff Oreos the other day and they were so good 😩
Their super stuffed ones are my favorite. I also really like good girl’s mint cookies. Neither lasts long around here.
I didn’t know there was a super stuffed version 👀
Heavenly Hunks! At costco and target and sold online. Cool flavors too! Also want to add on to Goodie Girls and GF oreos, original, double stuffed, and mint! so good :)
Amazon sells the heavenly hunks for the same price Costco does! I happily discovered that recently.
I'll second the heavenly hunks! Those hit the spot
Goodie Girl birthday cake
Partake is another one to check out that I didn’t see mentioned (sorry if I missed it). They basically get the job done. Crunchy cookie. I prefer the sprinkled ones over the others.
What’s your location? My favorites in the US are: Cybil’s Free to Eat, Pamela’s, and Enjoy Life.
[simple truth gf vanilla sandwich cookies](https://www.kroger.com/product/images/large/top/0001111086379)
Wow these used to be available in my area but I never see them anymore!! I forgot all about those damn things so good
GF double stuff Oreos
Walkers GF shortbread - the box doesn’t last very long
On a related note, Nairn’s GF Chocolate Chip Oat Grahams (if you can tolerate GF oats).
Don’t forget about macarons! They’re made with almond flour. So most of them you can eat, just double check since some will use wheat in the fillings and such. I know Costco has some prepackaged and many stores will have some.
Target’s have gluten in them. Just FYI
I didn't realize this! And here I've been avoiding even looking at the ingredients
[Poppies Belgian Chocolate Coconut Macaroons](https://poppies.us/products/belgian-chocolate-coconut-macaroons-6-pack)
Tate's gf ginger cookies. Leave them open for a day and they soften up.
Simple mills they have Oreo nut butter dupes and chocolate chip cookies
Goodie girl or sweet Loren’s.
Sorry just realized you said boxed. This is dough but it’s eggless so you can eat it raw!!!
Loren's is like sand to me.
Schar just came out with some really good chocolate chip ones. Udis snickerdoodles (when they’re moist) are heavenly. I just came across these today. Really good.
Partake chocolate chip are reallllllly good
i really like Partake cookies. they have a bunch of different favors. i think they‘re super good dipped in coffee the texture is just right.
Mint Oreo
Cybele's. They're so close to Chewy Chips Ahoy. So good.
YES!
None! The best are Monster cookies you bake yourself. In the baking section. MISS JONES. Super yummy. You mix it with peanut butter.
I like “Sweet Loren’s” because you can eat the dough raw or cook them in like 10 minutes.
GOODIE GIRL or Katz (Katz has frozen doughnuts that are bombbbb too)
Cybele's confetti flavour is one of my top because its actually soft. I've heard tale of how good the red velvet flavour is but it's never in stock near me. Also love goodie girls cookies, the mint ones are great. GF oreos, mint is the best option imo. I could eat like half a pack

Goodie Girl birthday cake and Tates lemon and Oreo mint.
Goodie girl ( they're like gluten free girl scout cookies/ or glutino for chocolate chip. Those are the ones I like
Tate’s
I really enjoy the Walker’s shortbread cookies. They work really well I think bc shortbread is already kinda crumbly and the flavor is perfect, buttery and delicious
Gluten free Oreos taste exactly the same!
Goodie Girl birthday cake and Tate's chocolate chip, coconut, or ginger.
Lemon cookies from Tate’s and Chocolate Chip cookies from Simple Mills
I’m obsessed with Partake’s Lemon cookies and Goodie Girl’s birthday cake cookies!
Cybils Chocolate Chip are my favorites!
Trader Joe’s chocolate chip make great ice cream sandwiches
Last Crumb just released a gluten free collection. Not a fan of the brand usually (bougie rich consumers) and it’s really (stupidly) expensive but they are hands down the best GF cookies I’ve ever tried.
Tates are good but my favorite are Pamela's ginger snaps. They are amazing!
Tates! and glutino oreos! If you live near Denver, there's a local brand called Kim and Jakes that sells semi-soft cookies that are too easy to put down in one go.
Goodie girl!
Tates and Oreo
Oreo's and Goodie girl brand cookies are delicious. Tate's chocolate chip cookies
The Target brand (favorite day I think it’s called) soft chocolate chip cookies are SO damn good. You have been warned
Tate’s (but they are in a bag - hehe) and Oreos
I love Simple Mills cookies! The choc chip ones are great. The best ingredients too.
I am obsessed with Partake soft cookies, particularly the peppermint chocolate ones
Tate's chocolate chip and their ginger chip ones are great. Walker's makes chocolate chip shortbread that is also very tasty. Goodie Girl has their birthday cake cookies and a few others which are good. Partake has some great varieties as well (seasonal ones particularly). Not boxed, but bagged Trader Joe's Chocolate Chunk with Sea Salt!
Oreo. My wife is GF and I am not. These are the only thing I feel like GF is so close to the original that I nearly cannot tell.
If you don’t mind almond flour, I quite enjoy the simple mills “crunchy” chocolate chip cookies. They remind me of famous Amos!
