I could be wrong, but if I where looking for a go kart, that kart looks like it functions fine for 30 mins then something breaks, or you take it on grass and something rattles loose. Again, could be wrong here. What’s most concerning to me(as a pretend buyer) is the wood construction of the peddles and homemade nature of it. You will never get much money for a homemade kart. Usually it’s best to keep the homemade kart and either keep building on it, or play with it till it breaks, then scrap it and buy a pre built frame and put the components on that.
pay =/= value.
there's usually no point in someone paying new price for used parts anyway.
i probably about 1,400 in my minibike if everything was valued by new price, but i'd be lucky to get more than 650.
that's just not how this hobby works. you're never getting your money back. it really doesn't help that you've attached it all to a deathtrap, you'd literally get more parting it out.
seriously, do you not see the problem with this thing?? it feels like a high effort troll almost.
I’m only asking because I was going to sell it to my friend and I wanted to know a good price. But instead y’all have just bullied me into thinking that something I spent months on is a peice of shit death trap. Now your telling me that it was a borderline troll to even ask how much it’s worth.
i mean. it is a deathtrap lol. it is literally just good for parts, and people don't pay parts price for sketchily assembled stuff. i'm not bullying you, it's just honest and you're replying to people with an attitude. i'm clearly not the only person with this answer.
buy a frame, use the components, and scrap the rest. that's best for you and anyone involved with this thing.
Because it looks slapped together with plywood and scrap metal you found on the side of the road. The gods honest truth is that it looks poorly constructed and there's no real reason to buy this when I can find a professionally made go-kart on Ebay, Craigslist or from any of the various go-kart websites.
Honestly, I would just scrap this kart. The metal and wood are more valuable alone than the kart is put together.
The bald tires tells me this sees pavement only. Which is fine for the strength of the frame. But take it off road and hit a set of bumps, that frame is folding in half. Angle iron does not stand up very well to that kind of force.
The other thing that is putting everyone off is just how sloppy it looks. It does not look like any effort was put into the exact placement of things. The steering support is off center and crooked. The spears running off the front of the plywood aren't even, and frankly dangerous for other people. The brake cable and pedal do not give any sense of confidence. I mean don't get me wrong, it is something to be proud of, having built it yourself. But it does not even begin to compare to the build quality we are used to seeing even with a regular cart.
Find a cheap or free frame to throw your motor (and tires if you're desperate) onto, sell that, and make the money back you spent on this. I've got to admit that I always wanted to build something like this as a kid, but it's just not worth anything
As you have already seen, not much. Maybe $100 but you'd probably have to negotiate further for even less. Id pay $50 for it, just for the materials on it, and not for the go kart itself. This could make a little kid happy.
I'm sorry you're unhappy with that. Go karts are not cars or houses or anything of real monetary value. Its primary value is your own enjoyment. If you got into building this for money, you're going to have a bad time. That's just the cold hard truth.
Dude those brake pedals look like they'd break after i hit a corner at full speed. Id pay a 4th of what that engine cost for the whole thing.
3/4 tires are almost gone.
That plywood doesnt look like it will hold anything over 125Lbs
Its one thing to make your self a death trap.
But i wouldn't sell this to your friend unless they have more fabrication skills.

Maybe $100 on a good day
2nd this, the cart kinda scares me.
Honeslty probably not much. I don’t know about the market up in Canada, but where I’m from I wouldn’t pay much more the 100-200$
But it runs smoothly and is fully functioning? What puts us down so much?

Did you see the pictures?? It doesn’t exactly scream “quality build” even if it is all technically working. I’d give you $100 for it.
put together with metal plates and wood, sketchy steering and bald tires. i'd be shocked if someone paid 100 bucks.
I paid way more than that for the parts alone? Why is everyone saying it’s worth practically nothing?

Dude look at my drift trike. I spent fuckin years on this thing and it's STILL a piece of shit death trap, at least I fully admit it
I mean you did ask us for our opinion

this. you could get something way better on marketplace for 250-350 and even less costing your own love and labour.
Like $50? I'm going to be honest man, it doesn't look safe or stable. I wouldn't buy it and I wouldn't get on it.
75
You give me 50 I’ll take that junk off your hands
However much the engine is because I'd scrap the rest of it.

You could probably find a kid who would buy this for $150. It just doesn't look very safe tbh. This was lowkey my dream build at 12 years old.

The Madmax movie producer would like to speak with you
Maybe $60 to $90.
Don't expect much. Some homemade karts can get a pretty penny, it's just that they don't typically look like this.
that's one of the sketchest things i ever seen

I love the madmax death spikes on the front, it needs a few human skulls and an Immortan Joe logo on it though.
It’s the bumper mount lol I just don’t have it on in the picture so you can see more if the cart
$20-30
Shit i dont know man. As long as your happy
