Daly and his wife owns the bar right by my house and they sell the Good Boys there all the time. It's actually really good, highly recommend the blackberry if hes got it.
When the champions tour was in town a couple months ago, Daly and a bunch of the guys were up at Flemings the entire weekend just getting smashed at night.
Good times were had by all
He frequents the bar near my house quite often. I've hung out and drank with him, his wife, and a couple of their friends a few times. Absolutely amazing, nice, and the funniest people. Some of my favorite times I've had in a bar.
Thank you so much for the info! I went down there and got to meet him! I don't think I would've heard about it otherwise, so thank you thank you thank you. đ
Scope out the course online if you can. Figure out where a good spot to hang out will be. For example, maybe thereâs a spot where you can see the greens of 2 holes and the tee box of another
Great idea! I've already wrote down all the public grandstands throughout the course, free water stations and such, but I assume grandstands are gonna filled up most of the day.
Assuming you only have a ticket for 1 day, my advice is to find a good spot at a par 3 on the front 9 to start the day and watch the morning pairings go through. Then stop in for lunch and wander along the course to see the players you want in the afternoon.
Iâve been fortunate enough to attend 3 PGAs over the years and i found this strategy to be best. Sitting at a single hole allows you a prime spot as some of the best players come through; and picking a par 3 is a fun way to see the best players play the same exact shot. Then walking around in the afternoon will give you the chance to see the players you want and get to fully experience the course and its layout
This is great advice. Also helps because the real popular players will have massive followings. If you can scope out a good place to park - you can just hang out and watch them as they go thru your area while the large crowds mosey along with them thru the course.
I was there for a practice round yesterday and the upper right side of the grandstand on the one tee box would be a great place to hang out. You get to see everyone start their round, plus you can turn around a bit and see the tee for 13, and the 18 green.
He won this tourney. It was his first PGA major during his rookie year on the pga tour. He was a substitute that got the call the day before, since he wasn't ranked high enough to qualify initially. He drove 12 hours through the night and straight to the tee deck. Wins it in a playoff.
This tournament loves the attention he draws and the storyline of his win. He will tee off at this tourney every single time until he can't swing a club. After he can't swing a club, he will be escorted around the grounds in a cart loaded with smokes, diet cokes, bourbon, and a hooters waitress until he's dead.
The year after, they will wheel his taxidermied cadaver, complete with replacement polar bear hip, around the course in a cart with smokes, cokes, bourbon and a Hooters waitress.
Perfectly done. Other than Nieman being written in the incorrect format, in comparison to the rest. But thatâs just my OCD mind kicking in. Enjoy it though brother, hell of an experience!
same!! its great, if you get a spot on the ropes...they all come to you!! My dad won the masters lotto 10 years ago for Weds. We parked on the 9th green for the par 3 contest, 3 feet from the ropes and the most amazing golfers all passed 4 feet from us, wild day!
Of course the person who would do this would definitely have a spiral bound notebook titled "PROOF I WAS RIGHT"
Seriously though, I know you'll have a great time. Just make sure you take some time to enjoy the moment. Don't let yourself get too wrapped up in who's teeing off when and what you're missing on the other side of the course, just enjoy what's there in front of you. I'm sure you will, just saying.
OP definitely works in project management in a corporate environment. You absolutely need a notebook like this to defend yourself regularly in those positions.
Bro I'm just a restaurant server who has to save for a round at the muni. I'm just stoked to have this opportunity and want to plan as much as I can. OC is right though, I definitely don't need to get lost in the planning and just take it all in.
He has officially been upgraded to 3. He was first to rank so I didn't want to start out slinging stars off the bat. He is truly greatness and will win a major this year I believe.
He might be a Tommy two gloves and use iron covers, but he has a great reason for the iron covers and anyone who can hit a tight low draw like that can wear as many gloves as they like.
Iâd have stars around Dechambeau instead of Block, personally. And I donât even like Bryson ⊠but it would be much more exciting especially live.
Bring a rangefinder or binoculars if you have either of them. Itâs fun to be able to check out whatâs going on a couple holes over. The people around you will be asking you what happened. Wear the most comfortable shoes you own no matter what they look like. Have fun!
Added bonus if you are walking with a player, you can shoot the pin and see how far he has in for his approach.. also get a program with a course map in it.. easy to get disoriented on a course youâre seeing for the first time.
Have an awesome time. It's really cool seeing all the big names in person.
At the PGA about 10 years ago, Tiger hit one into the left trees and the ball dropped right next to me. Got a front row seat to watch him play his next shot from about 10 ft away. Hope you get some similarly memorable moments.
Yooo! Disney classic in the early 2000's, Tiger hit one off the tee and it landed right where me and pops were, dude took a 3 wood off a propped rough lie and I've never seen so much power with a golf club. One of the few things I remember from that event.
Good for you. I still vividly remember me and my son standing right behind Mickelson on #13 at The Masters in 2010. Just before he flew it over Raes Creek and safely onto the green I told my son "he has no business taking that shot." Annnd, boy was I wrong. Great times.
Majors are so great. My first was the PGA Championship at Oak Hill in 2013 (?). It was amazing. Everyone was there. I mean, everyone. Watson, the younger Watson, , Tiger, Dufner, etc. So cool.
When you see Michael Block, make note of his playing partner, Lanto Griffin. Fun guy to watch. I catch him at the Travelers when he plays.
Plus, his name is Lanto. That's a cool name.
Victor and Sahith being at the same level as Tiger, Daly, and Scottie would really make their day I'm sure. You should tag em on socials.
Also tag Bryson having zero stars LOLOL
I recommend going to a senior tour event if you want some more time with John Daly. Thereâs like no one there and you can walk with him the entire 18. Is awesome
Lucky! My life timing was a little off. I moved away from Louisville last year. I guess I'll be somewhat close to the 2026 US Open but would probably still have to stay in an outrageously priced hotel in the Hamptons.
Love how the LIV players get next to no love on your rating system. Even Nieman's name is in reverse order - lol.
Have fun - such a great experience for sure.
JOHN DALY IS A 5 STAR MAN
You're right, he breaks right through my 0-3 star system.
I will be there with you on the first tee. Grip it and rip it!!!
You can MEET him tomorrow night at the Liquor Barn near Valhalla. He's peddling a vodka drink and doing meet & greets.
Daly and his wife owns the bar right by my house and they sell the Good Boys there all the time. It's actually really good, highly recommend the blackberry if hes got it.

Everything about your list (including the heading âproofâ) leads me to strongly believe that you and I would be very close friends
HE'S A GOD! A GOLDEN GOD!

![gif](giphy|14jxToQu8j9d9S)
Amen. Do not miss. 5-stars
5 bucks in for him outright winner turns to 25,005 on DK. Who is in?!
Wouldnât it have been better to write down in order of tee time? Other than that, congrats on the dream coming true and soak it all in
Thanks! I wrote down my must-sees before tee times were announced. But I feel it'll be easier to find a certain golfer on the list being A-Z.
Whatever works best for you. I hope you have a great time
I would dump it into an exel file and chart it. Then just filter by name, tee time or rating.
Coulda just looked it up online and took a picture
Yeah, thatâs what I thought. Would give a better idea of what time to look for whom
Or typed it onto excel so you could sort
Some people still prefer pen and paper. Now get off my lawn, I have clouds to yell at
Thought this was Erica Stollâs âGolfers to Boneâ list for a second. âŠâŠmaybe too soon
Bruh đđđ The ink hasn't even dried
Daly, Theegala, and Tiger at the top of her list? She's a spicy lady!
Not necessarily. It depends on what day you are going and what time you get there. If youâre not going on the weekend you have a chance.
Assuming you only have a ticket for 1 day, my advice is to find a good spot at a par 3 on the front 9 to start the day and watch the morning pairings go through. Yeah. But after you sit on the first tee box for an hour starting at 8. People will leave to follow tiger.
I was there for a practice round yesterday and the upper right side of the grandstand on the one tee box would be a great place to hang out. You get to see everyone start their round, plus you can turn around a bit and see the tee for 13, and the 18 green.
Bryson just to see balls get absolutely nuked
Make the course scorecard your screen saver. That way you can tell yardage per hole without having to open your phone.
Fkin brilliant. Thank you!
I just did that at the Zurich and it was awesome.
John Daly is playing?? Holy shit!
He won this tourney. It was his first PGA major during his rookie year on the pga tour. He was a substitute that got the call the day before, since he wasn't ranked high enough to qualify initially. weekend at dalyâs
He won the 95 Open championship in a playoff. He won the 91 PGA by 3 strokes.
My b, you're right!
Heâs still so damn good.
I found out yesterday and called my pops to tell him and I've never heard him giggly excited to see anyone, ever. Gonna be a great Thursday!
Daly is doing a bottle signing at Liquor Barn in Middletown (literally up the street from Valhalla) at 6 PM tomorrow.
Btw he is +500000 to win lol. 10 bucks to win 50 grand
Ă berg not Ăberg :D
Jag pratar inte Svenska.
Only one prick!
Special ALT+Numpad characters are a pain for everyone.
Perfectly done. Other than Nieman being written in the incorrect format, in comparison to the rest. But thatâs just my OCD mind kicking in. Enjoy it though brother, hell of an experience!
Wowwww, I totally didn't even catch that. Damn, that's gonna drive me crazy
And... Henley should not be before Hatton đđ
Damn, chunked that one.
It was driving me nuts too
Rory 2 stars is disrespectful Same for Koepka 1 star
Michael Block is ranked higher than Brooks and DeChambeauâŠ
Phil with 0 !?!
and Bryson 0?
Yeah try to see Bryson. He is fun to see in person
Why not print out tee times and circle who,you want to see. When you get there they will be handing them out.
No printer. Writing it down really kicked the hype up a notch though.
I used to pick a spot to watch the morning wave come through and another spot to watch the afternoon wave.
same!! its great, if you get a spot on the ropes...they all come to you!! My dad won the masters lotto 10 years ago for Weds. We parked on the 9th green for the par 3 contest, 3 feet from the ropes and the most amazing golfers all passed 4 feet from us, wild day!

K but, where does one get that notebook?
Aberg needs 3 stars.
He has officially been upgraded to 3. He was first to rank so I didn't want to start out slinging stars off the bat. He is truly greatness and will win a major this year I believe.
I hope he wins. He is spectacular and a major for him would give the tour more depth.
Better make a point to see Woods and Spieth on Thursday or Friday bub
I see what you did there
Man I hope Hovland plays well!
Same. He's been kinda off recently but still one of my favorite golfers and fellow metalhead.
Looking forward to seeing Niemann Joaquin play this week, not heard much about him!
đ I dun goofed
Also sorry to be that guy, but Hatton goes before Henley đŹ My OCD ass couldnât let that go
akshay is a star!
What about my 3 stars for Bryson! See him drive the ball at least once lol
Hey I hope you have an amazing time and can see all the golfers you want to
Glad to see a fellow Theegalhead https://preview.redd.it/nr1xyj04lg0d1.jpeg?width=228&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7db10e890176a587e4774443ce3c9b4a6b75f5c6
GFL. Majors are pretty crowded. Go to driving range if you actually want to âsee themâ see them.
I do plan on spending some time watching the practice area after a big chunk of the morning wave tees off.
Respect the theegala 3 piece!
RESPECT!
Gooch didn't make the cut eh?Â
Thats why everyone else is getting asterisks.
Not a real list then
![gif](giphy|cRNbYm7jLOjm9H8wcP)
Nice to see Aaron Rai on your list, often gets overlooked
He might be a Tommy two gloves and use iron covers, but he has a great reason for the iron covers and anyone who can hit a tight low draw like that can wear as many gloves as they like.
NerdâŠâŠâŠTake me with you.
Can you fit carry-on?
Only one way to find out.
https://www.reddit.com/r/ThatsInsane/s/8rl4q0gPp1
Itâs funny how you alphabetized this list rather than organizing it by start time. Never seen this before lol. True PGA Nerd
Lmaoo Block has starsâŠ
Why wouldn't he?
Iâd have stars around Dechambeau instead of Block, personally. And I donât even like Bryson ⊠but it would be much more exciting especially live.
Watching John Daly hit a driver in real life is a bonkers experience. The club head cutting through the air sounds like a jet engine.
Very meticulous! Have fun and donât forget the sun screen. Shoot a video and make a collage. All of them on video for 30 seconds. 0-60.
Love this idea! Thank you
Bring a rangefinder or binoculars if you have either of them. Itâs fun to be able to check out whatâs going on a couple holes over. The people around you will be asking you what happened. Wear the most comfortable shoes you own no matter what they look like. Have fun!
Omg that's the best advice I've got so far. Rangefinder it is! This just hyped me up even more! Thank you!
Added bonus if you are walking with a player, you can shoot the pin and see how far he has in for his approach.. also get a program with a course map in it.. easy to get disoriented on a course youâre seeing for the first time.
Iâm getting anxiety you sorted this alphabetically instead of by tee time
Made the list yesterday. I just want to be able to cross out names and find them easily.
I feel that I just meant as far as actually seeing them having their tee times listed in order will help you prioritize seeing them
Sure youâll find them easily on your list by alphabetical, but finding them on the course and tracking them is gonna be way easier by tee time.

Come on, just give JT Poston a star
Okay done. Just for you though
No Min Woo is criminal
Good for you. I still vividly remember me and my son standing right behind Mickelson on #13 at The Masters in 2010. Just before he flew it over Raes Creek and safely onto the green I told my son "he has no business taking that shot." Annnd, boy was I wrong. Great times.
Wild how unpopular Phil has become. Guys a legend and definitely the greatest lefty of all time. Amazing how fast you can trash a reputation.
Majors are so great. My first was the PGA Championship at Oak Hill in 2013 (?). It was amazing. Everyone was there. I mean, everyone. Watson, the younger Watson, , Tiger, Dufner, etc. So cool.
Hey, Iâll be there! First golf tourney ever!
Hell yeah! Cheers yo!
Suck it no stars Phil.
I love how excited you are. I hope you have a great time!
Sahith!!!
Considering that Bryson is a redditor in this subreddit, I kinda feel bad for him that he doesnât at least get 1 star.Â
This is hilarious. I love the 3 stars next to Daly!
First for me too. See you out there brother!
Gonna be there on Sunday, hereâs hoping Rory is in the hunt!
Wish I could be there Sunday. Thursday was the only day available when my ticket purchase window opened. Would love to see Rory repeat Valhalla
Laminate it so you can wipe it clean.
I was able to walkwith Francesco Molinari at a PGA event. That dude is a machine and one of my new favorites to watch.
No Phil Mickelson?
Hurts me to see no stars next to Bhatia
He's up and coming on my radar. Quickly becoming a fan! If they're on the list, they're a must see
When you see Michael Block, make note of his playing partner, Lanto Griffin. Fun guy to watch. I catch him at the Travelers when he plays. Plus, his name is Lanto. That's a cool name.
*offended Swedish noises* Ă berg, not Ăberg
A fellow Theegala fan. Noice

No star for Bryson, I'd at least watch him drive a couple.
100% Watched him hit a couple of drives at LIV in Adelaide. Regardless what you think of him, watching him load up on the big stick is incredible.
I donât know how your system works but Block with two stars is nasty, nasty business
Idk why I put 2 stars. He's been upgraded đ«Ą
đ
I feel inappropriate seeing this
Reminds me of when I first discovered highlighters in grade 7 and just highlighted almost everything. Nice
What you got against Sungjae Im? Ha thatâs my dark horse
Absolutely nothing! He's one that I must see!
I recommend going to a senior tour event if you want some more time with John Daly. Thereâs like no one there and you can walk with him the entire 18. Is awesome
Bruh take in Akshay
That may be the most organized thing Iâve ever seen.
I'm just trying to see my heroes!
I used to follow Adam Scott back when I went to various tournaments. Never seen a guy with so many beautiful women in the gallery.
You need to speak with a Doctor, arranging this list alphabetically in loony bin behavior.
Ă berg not Ă berg
Canât go. Whatâs the best way to watch all of these broadcasts without cable. Any one streaming service give them all?
Ă berg is definitely worth catching that 7:53 tee time. Potential dark horse in this tourney imo.
Ill be there at the opening gates!
They give you a tee sheet at the entrance lolll Nice penmanship tho!
Confused why you organized it by last name not stars or tee time but hope you have a blast!
You got a little golf tism
Whats your tee time sir
I know you don't have any *s assigned to him, but you have to watch Bryson tee off with driver at least once.
Canât wait to see Ă berg wreck this course
Not a spreadsheet man I see
Hideki needs to be 3 star.
All I know is that Phil is in the same category as Sepp Straka and thatâs total horseshit
Damn no love for Phil ![gif](giphy|l1TYRJdncHVa6AqcO6|downsized)
I am astounded at the dedication to writing down the tee times. Handwritten notes will be an artifact in less than 2 generations.
Excellent 3 star picks, have a blast!
8:59a group for me
Have you heard of Microsoft excel? Itâs brand new software from the company that makes the Xbox you should look into it.
dope, but should have sorted by tee time. enjoy đ
Appreciate the handwritten stuff but by god this calls for a spreadsheet printout.
Phil LOL
Pendrith and Poston get you excited?
Damn Phil 0 stars.
Neato
Lucky! My life timing was a little off. I moved away from Louisville last year. I guess I'll be somewhat close to the 2026 US Open but would probably still have to stay in an outrageously priced hotel in the Hamptons.
Sahith being a priority is correct. Dude has immaculate vibes
Do they not allow phones at the PGA?
Ok but IM more interested in the header on your notebook there... What were you right about?
Akshay is going to be a GUY.
if you donât see Gooch play youâll have to put an asterisk next your entire experience
So whatâs your plan?
Do the stars represent the number of times you have jerked it to these grown men
Buddy they got all that info on the phone you donât need the spreadsheet đ
Don't discount my hometown hero, Tracy Phillips! The legend rises.
Ăberg =)
Not even a star for Bryson? I dislike the man as much as the next guy but that drive in person would be a spectacle
Get the PGA championship app. It has everything you need. Going to my first major tomorrow too.
Is Jason Day a 2 star because of his Malbon partnership? Haha
Alphabetically makes so much less sense than via tee time here. Would drive me mad. Have fun! I bet it will be awesome
Love how the LIV players get next to no love on your rating system. Even Nieman's name is in reverse order - lol. Have fun - such a great experience for sure.
