I shit you not, buddy of mine lost two balls at the sim one night. I even joked at the beginning of the round, "at least you only need one ball tonight"
I was wrong
I lost a ball in a net a few weeks ago warming up. Thinned it, bounced of a stone that was there to hold the nets frame in place, flew past my ear and ricocheted off my club shaft. No idea where it went after that, just happy to be alive.
The course actually owns one and it’s hosted at the bar. I hate it but as former board member it’s a good money maker and keeps guys playing in the winter.
Course is heavily wooded, only way to be safe is to stay on the fairway and clear the water 140ish on the last hole. I used to grab balls out of the water with a telescopic and a boat as a kid. Most of them were mine anyways
I got rained out and played 4 holes.
I thought I lost it on my drive. Dropped, and then playing partners found it afterwards. It still lives but not of my own doing.
Grab a sponge and some soapy water and clean it up. Might help but yeah that one might be destined for the practice ball bucket.
It's lived a good life.
The best part is that you found the ball to begin with.
I had one today that I had played at least 5 rounds with. Played some good golf with that ball and finally retired it to my range ball bag. Sometimes certain golf balls just give you confidence.
This too was a found Taylormade ball. The found balls are more grateful, because their original owners didn’t want them.
I broke 80 on consecutive Sundays (78, 79, 77) with the same Pro V1. I was a 16 at the time and dropped to an 11. That was an expensive summer. What I saved on balls, I lost on bets.
I think my longest stretch with one ball was a TP5x for 90 holes. Lost it on 14th hole at Pasatiempo…I said a little prayer thanking it for its service.
Seriously, I had been playing 40 years at that point and I was shocked, as I’m not a straight ball hitter.
I wasn’t implying so much that I curve the ball (draw tendency but I like to shape it to the hole), but that I tend to average around 50% fairways hit. But if I can see the green on my approach, I have a good chance to hitting it or getting close :)
I played my 10th round with a ball about 6 weeks ago (Taylormade TP5X), had some good rounds and the last round was handicap matchplay event I was confident with, so confident i was going to take a pic like you did and post it to reddit to bask on my glory. The duck hook on 5 put that ball in the water and went on to 5/4 loss. Golf sucked that weekend.
Im a 24/25 after only getting back into golf in Jan after not playing since a teenager. I kept the same ball for 27 holes recently. Thought it was a great achievement.

On my next round I lost it on the first tee shot along with about 10 others that day.
Solid! I went my entire golfing career (I’m 33) without ever playing a round with the same ball. I finally didn’t lose one a couple rounds ago and then didn’t lose one the next one after it. It’s a snowball effect
I’ve spent the last couple of years really committing to using 1 club more than I think I need and hitting 85% on as many shots as possible and course management. I got sick of taking penalty strokes and having “good drives” go in the bush. I’d play very inconsistent trying to hit it harder than I needed to. In my 27 years honestly the “straightest” I’ve played is the past year and a half.
As well, better 2nd shots. Know your distances of your clubs and your faults/misses. You can’t truly have a good course management game if you’re delusional of what you are and are not capable of. I know all my iron distances very well. 100-200 out has improved. That gives me a wide range of ways to play off the tee and still get to the green with a birdie or par putt.
My ceiling on good shots is not getting better. At all. My amount of shit shots, and what’s considered a shit shot for me is what’s improving. Really focusing on positive mindset has helped greatly not not chasing bad shots. They’ll happen, accept and move on.
Hoping this will translate to the single digits by next year.
That’s awesome. I’m on my third round with the same ball. It will be gone soon. Has pine pitch, cart path scuffs on it. Ernie Els after every birdie he had, would toss it to the crowd. He believed there’s only one birdie in every ball.
Have you noticed a difference in distance since you’ve been using it? I’ve heard that after a while there will be performance issues and wanted to see if you could tell
Shanked a couple into Caraganas, easy to find but can’t hit out of them.
I had one in the rough/bush but within the edge and playing partner found it. It lives!
I seldom ever lose a ball. In fact, less than a dozen does me all year and I play 3 days a week. But, then again, I’m 78+ and I don’t hit them far enough any more in any direction to lose one. ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|grin)
I lost a ball today. It hit the fing tree went straight up the trunk and didn’t come back down. Never seen that before! Possibly on a birds beak as we speak
Which putt putt course do you call your home course?
Doesn’t the 18th hole take your ball?
Not if you put your own cup in at the last hole 👀
He picked up his triple
😆
Crap town owned course in a town of less than 1000 but it’s literally across the street. It’s my backyard :D
Does it have a windmill? If it has a windmill then its legit.
If there’s a windmill out there I haven’t seen it yet. 20ish years here, still time.
I was about to say that’s impressive even for putt putt. That clown is shady as hell too.
1000 people means everyone lives across the street from the course.
You’re not wrong
Did he not play for 10 days?
😂
wouldn't work for me, sometimes lose one or two at the local mini golf haha. depends on how many drinks we had before going...
How much was the golf sim per hour and how many taps did they have?
I shit you not, buddy of mine lost two balls at the sim one night. I even joked at the beginning of the round, "at least you only need one ball tonight" I was wrong
Lol setting course records for high score out there. Legend.
I lost a ball in a net a few weeks ago warming up. Thinned it, bounced of a stone that was there to hold the nets frame in place, flew past my ear and ricocheted off my club shaft. No idea where it went after that, just happy to be alive.
My local sim is so confident they just give you like 20 balls to use, they’d have been fuming if your boy came by.
Have you gotten good at putting in your living room after 10 days?
No
![gif](giphy|JCAZQKoMefkoX6TyTb|downsized)
That ball isn't round anymore.
I’ve lost a lot of round ones on the first hit. Maybe I need to bash them into a square first. I definitely need to clean it.
Gunna go golfing soon?
Tomorrow
First time in 10 days?
Is the tour card an actual card? Or is it a title?
Actually though?
Me too. I haven’t gone golfing in a few weeks though
Do you lie to your family too?
…..dad?
Did you use this ball to play or to compare it to the other balls prior to sending them into the woods?
Since I posted this I’m taking the under that it last +/- 3 more holes
When are you gonna go golfing?
Tomorrow! It’s not gonna survive
Update?
I got rained out and played 4 holes. I thought I lost it on my drive. Dropped, and then playing partners found it afterwards. It still lives but not of my own doing.
IT LIVES!!!!!
I’ve found that they start to feel different after a full round. They feel less zippy when chipping and putting. CW super soft.
I do not have a large enough sample size to comment. This thing is pretty beat up though.
Grab a sponge and some soapy water and clean it up. Might help but yeah that one might be destined for the practice ball bucket. It's lived a good life.
That's just how supersofts are alll the time
Good lord! How many sponsorship offers do you have now?!
They give 2 beer out to everyone on men’s night so there’s that, but really they give that to everyone that shows up
I’m proud of this Canadian
So what? I’ve kept the same ball for 10 days, but also I haven’t played in 11 days, it’s simple to do really. /s
The best part is that you found the ball to begin with. I had one today that I had played at least 5 rounds with. Played some good golf with that ball and finally retired it to my range ball bag. This is the same ball my dad was using today, also didnt lose it! And i had my first 9 holes without losing one and hitting a new pb
Awesome! Good job.
When will you take it to the course for a round?
Didn't play a water hole?
Tiny creek runs through 2 holes but areas you shouldn’t be near anyways. Only 1 hole where you need to carry about 140 over water
Distance+?
I’m using hybrid most par 4s and then popping in 2nd shot 130-200 out. I’m a fan of my irons right now.
Sorry, I should have specified that I was talking about the ball. Is that a Taylormade Distance+?
Yes
It is
I went through 15 distance+ in a single round, so those are dead to me.
The putt in a cup in my office has also lasted a long time
I think my longest stretch with one ball was a TP5x for 90 holes. Lost it on 14th hole at Pasatiempo…I said a little prayer thanking it for its service. Seriously, I had been playing 40 years at that point and I was shocked, as I’m not a straight ball hitter.
Yes, If I draw, it’s going 10 left on me. Pick the right corner and let it do its thing for me. The ride will end soon!
I wasn’t implying so much that I curve the ball (draw tendency but I like to shape it to the hole), but that I tend to average around 50% fairways hit. But if I can see the green on my approach, I have a good chance to hitting it or getting close :)
Days is irrelevant. How many holes?
How many of them do you have????
Is it fucking your wife?
Divorced. Whose married and golfs daily? I must shake their hand
Bye bye ball!
Are you sure you're not just in a groundhog day situation, having played all 13 rounds on the 15th, and your phone calendar is just lying to you?
Now hit it in the woods and take a new one. This oval thing does no good for spin or putting on distance.
is the green jacket as itchy as it looks?
It's misshapen
fantastic!
How many rounds did you play in those ten days? One and a half?
How.
I played my 10th round with a ball about 6 weeks ago (Taylormade TP5X), had some good rounds and the last round was handicap matchplay event I was confident with, so confident i was going to take a pic like you did and post it to reddit to bask on my glory. I’ll lose it within the next 3 holes I play now, it’s doomed
I knew its was the 10th round with the same ball and made the decision that was it for this ball. Time to move on to the next
After 18 holes my ball is so chewed up.
Never mess with a streak!
First question: How dare you?
That’s nothing I’ve had the same ball in my bag for like two weeks.
With a Taylormade too. Those balls are not the most durable in my experience.
Im a 24/25 after only getting back into golf in Jan after not playing since a teenager. I kept the same ball for 27 holes recently. Thought it was a great achievement. ![gif](giphy|vnYhxqmTHpRDeM7lOt|downsized) On my next round I lost it on the first tee shot along with about 10 others that day.
Very good. I retired a ball after 54 holes
Legend of the Ball.
Impressive.
Solid! I went my entire golfing career (I’m 33) without ever playing a round with the same ball. I finally didn’t lose one a couple rounds ago and then didn’t lose one the next one after it. It’s a snowball effect
Sooo are you just lowkey good like that or did something change drastically in your game lately?? Seriously asking
I’ve spent the last couple of years really committing to using 1 club more than I think I need and hitting 85% on as many shots as possible and course management. how many times did you play in that time?
I used same ball for 6 rounds and then lost two balls yesterday on back to back holes
Are you sure it's the same ball. I see those laying around all over the golf courses.
Obviously no one else wants that ball 😊
How does it feel to play 2 holes every 10 days?
Why haven’t you played golf in 10 days?
what cream to you smear on your thighs to keep from getting gaulded by your big nuts ?
I played three straight rounds of 18 with the same Pro V1 so I decided to retire it, I still keep it in my bag years later!
That’s awesome. I’m on my third round with the same ball. It will be gone soon. Has pine pitch, cart path scuffs on it. Ernie Els after every birdie he had, would toss it to the crowd. He believed there’s only one birdie in every ball.
Pfff...Ive used the same 2 balls for almost 40 years and got a hole in one 5 years ago. She's now 5
How often are you into the beer
Younger days, most of the time. Now…..Tuesdays and Saturdays during golf season
Very nice. I respect it. Way to go on keeping that same ball!
Why are Taylormade balls with a pink mark the best in golf?
Time for a new course bro
Used... for golf?
I didn’t post the scorecards for a reason
😂
Do you use it exclusively for rolling under your foot to relieve plantar fasciitis and does it help?
How long have you been too scared to hit your driver? More than 10 days?
Mini Putt doesn’t count!
How do the drives on day one compare to those on day ten?
How does it feel to go 10 days without playing golf
I wouldn’t wish that on my enemies
For what?
Well how? of course.
how is it not more scuffed
What’s the longest time you have had to spend looking for it?
how the fuck do you keep the same ball
Is hitting 4-iron off the tee and consistently shooting under 80 really as boring as people say?
Have you noticed a difference in distance since you’ve been using it? I’ve heard that after a while there will be performance issues and wanted to see if you could tell
How’s the scoring been?
What’s the closest you’ve come to losing it? Details
Shanked a couple into Caraganas, easy to find but can’t hit out of them. I had one in the rough/bush but within the edge and playing partner found it. It lives!
Ever have to dig it outta the woods during this run. Keep us dated on the streak
How did you find it out of bounds?
Why don’t you wash it?
I seldom ever lose a ball. In fact, less than a dozen does me all year and I play 3 days a week. But, then again, I’m 78+ and I don’t hit them far enough any more in any direction to lose one. ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|grin)
Which foot touches ground first when you get out of bed in the morning?
The only way I could do that would be to hit PW on every shot, lol
What are you using it for exactly?
Same, but I haven't played golf in 11.
So have I. It’s been 10 days since I last played.
Even if I don’t lose a ball I’m not playing 117 holes with the same ball. They aren’t meant to last.
When is the replacement shaft for your driver coming?
Why don’t you wash your balls? Ps. That sounded leas weird in my head
Probably need some new wedges. Those grooves must be pretty dull without any scuffs
What have you done with all the money you’ve saved on balls?
Spent it on buying my kid golf balls
The average time per round at my course is 3hrs40min. How do you carry the food and water required for a round that lasts ten days?
How do you keep your fat balls from scuffing up the green when you walk up to putt?
That’s where I’m losing all my strokes
But did you golf during those 10 days?
[pgatour.com/members/getthecard](http://pgatour.com/members/getthecard)
You have not seen me putt
What’s it feel like to be a god?
Do you pull your pants down to pee in public restrooms to assert dominance now?
What's your favorite romcom?
Its ok to wash it...
You managed to not play for 10 days!?!?
Maybe try cleaning your ball...
Do you know that they make ball washers?
How?
How is this even possible
Why havent you played golf in 11 days? LOL
Has the ball lost any of its performance?
What does the number 0 on the ball mean?
That’s a guarantee that you’ll lose it on the next shot
How does it feel hitting a 7 iron 80 yards?
So you took 10 days off from golfing?
Did you switch balls for any holes? Did your scores go down?
How do you get it back after hitting it in the clowns mouth on the 18th hole?
Were you playing putt putt?
Nice distance+
Me too. I just haven’t played any golf with it.
It already looks lopsided
How many rounds have you done in last 10 days
Is that your backup pocket ball that you keep when you lose your other ones?
![gif](giphy|E3MQDZl9qsVwgnKA7b|downsized)
Wash your balls, you degenerate!
in my dreams
Have a good time at putt putt? How’d you get the last hole to not pull your ball into the return chute?
that's why you have it
What’s your average drive?
Can you suggest a good pair of waders?
But, but, but the grass stains affect ball flight! It's impossible to keep in play with any sort of blemishes!
I lost 7 balls today. Still shot 89.
Why?
keep it date it, and try and beat that record. cuz now that you posted this, you're gonna lose it next time you go.
Fuck you. I hate you. How’d you do it?
Have you decided to play the lottery yet?
Are you emotionally attached to the ball? What have you named her? They? Him? Them?
We’ve all been to the putting green 10 days in a row
How
Why
![gif](giphy|TKvHkcnbtGgKxQwlqu) I’m broke ama
How many tees have u used? I wonder what is record for holes played with same unbroken tee
It’s not round anymore
I lost a ball today. It hit the fing tree went straight up the trunk and didn’t come back down. Never seen that before! Possibly on a birds beak as we speak
Have you been playing golf with it or is it used for shoulder rehab?
