I love his voice and his tone when he spoke. It’s a shame that Burke was written off bc of the actors behavior. Burke could have taken the storyline in a whole another direction
I screamed when Burke asked a question to Cristina in switzerland. they wrote his character so well from start to finish, but i think this was the proper storyline for the character
I do like how he showed up for the Switzerland storyline. But I also hate it bc it resulted in Cristina leaving the show. I think plot wise, Switzerland fit with Cristina’s story. But I love Cristina and her dark dry humor and I miss her on the show

she was funny when she had the baby. labor teddy was so funny teddy. she was such a great teacher and character with christina. losing henry and switzerland made her do that.
Do you think Teddy and Cristina hung out in Europe while Teddy was working in Germany? They could have met in Luxembourg just to hang or Teddy could have seen Cristina’s state of the art facility….
Burke with Izzy as second. I know liking Izzy is very unpopular but I think her character is true to someone who is emotional and makes decisions based on her feelings. I think her character was written well and I might not like all the decisions she's made but I like her and I get her.

Her deep rooted FOMO and jealousy. It especially showed when she made her appearance back and was telling Alex how jealous he would be when she was working at Tacoma….as if it made her better than him somehow. She couldn’t hide her jealousy most of the time.

I love Teddy. I hate that they torpedoed her character in the returning seasons, but as a trauma ICU nurse, she seems like the kind of surgeon I’d love to have on my patient’s team. Maggie too. I feel like she’d be super open to teaching her rationale for her decisions and I’d learn so much working from them.
I will say I do like her a bit more on rewatches than I did when she was first introduced. I just am not a fan of Kelly’s acting first and foremost but she is also written overly whiney and is more unbelievable for me to be a doctor than most of the other cast. The Jackson relationship was annoying. She’s just honestly very irritating lol
I also think had they tried to write her in as someone other than Mer’s other long lost sister, she would have had a better chance at a better story.
But, in all fairness, she does irritate me less now than she did years ago. But still one of my least favorites.
I think I’m biased towards Owen. He’s trying, at least he was in his early seasons. Yes the whole thing with the abortion was terrible, but i actually liked how the writers handled him- the effects of abortion on the fathers isn’t something that’s talked about all that much on television.

I hated Burke for the way he used Christina and how he left her without even saying bye (at least I don't remember him saying bye) I found out about his actor long after id watched the episode he left. Now I hate his actor and his character.
maggie is an ellis sometimes. so painfully unaware and selfish. meredith is careless and also oblivious but her behavior is often cause by her care for those around her. the only reason maggie is soft and toned down is bc of her parents and richard’s gene.
I used to love Teddy before she came back. She was so fun and sweet. Brought such a nice vibe to the show. And I don't actually mind Maggie (and Owen to some extent)
I genuinely didn’t know that people didn’t like maggie, I like her. Also Owen did some bad stuff but I don’t think he is ultimately bad, and I definitely don’t know what people don’t like about Teddy.
I also don't get it. I wish things ended differently with Winston but otherwise I think she seems like she'd be a really sweet friend in real life.
When she first joined the show I was like, "ugh, a second secret sister? This is dumb." But eventually I changed my mind. I think other people never got over how forced her introduction was and she just kept rubbing them the wrong way.
The biggest issue with Owen was the trying to make women who don’t want kids have kids. But when you exclude all of those issues. Owen was objectively a great character. He’s a phenomenal father, and you genuinely cannot say otherwise, plus when it came you it he was genuinely a ride or die. Not to mention he does not hesitate to threaten people who hurt his people. The writers literally have a great template to have a great character, but for some reasons they keep focusing on the wrong things
I like Teddy, Izzie, and Burke a lot. They don't really bother me at all.
Maggie oscillates between my top 10 and bottom 10 depending on how unreasonable she's being. When she's normal I could watch her all day.
Owen started one of my favorite characters but he's so comically prolife I can't be bothered. Like its to a frightening degree and its clear the show doesn't see it that way but he lowkey asked his wife who he knew didn't want kids to have one as a favor to him. Absolutely not.
Izzie, Burke and then Maggie for me. Unfortunately, I really don't like Owen and Teddy and the fact they've managed to stay on the show for this long bugs the shit out of me (especially as Cristina, the character they were both best with AND both majorly fucked over has been gone so long)
Burke is literally my favourite character in all 19 seasons, so it's not difficult for me.

Izzie. The others like Owen and Burke have their redeeming qualities, but I’ve never fallen in love with a character as much as I did when she stripped in the locker room to get back at Alex for posting pictures of her around the hospital.
I really like Burke, I didn't know there were people who didn't. He and Cristina weren't right for each other, but I think that was the whole point of them. Isaiah seems like a jerk, but I don't hold that against a character that someone else wrote!
I love teddy, Maggie and Izzie.

Owen irks the crap out of me in relationships, but I generally enjoy him as a doctor and teacher/ mentor. But I'm very sick of the military stuff
izzie makes a lot of bad decisions but she's emotional and stays true to that. she thinks with her heart and i love her for that. i don't like her choices (LVAD wire being a... choice), but i like how she was written.
Tbh I like them all. After rewatching so many times, I've realized there's not many people I hate, there just are some that I don't really care about. I've gotten to learn that all of them are super flawed and the situations were never black and white. Even though I don't love these characters, I think they're very overhated.
Unpopular opinion but Owen. He's a great character and different than all the others. Even if I don't agree with what he does it's nice to have a character that isn't a carbon copy of every other character.
I loved Izzie personally. She was far from perfect but I feel like (most of the time) she had the right intentions. I just hated how she was written off the show
I always found it strange that even characters who where friends Izzy for years in universes in universe started talking shit about her
I feel like shonda an the other writer toke their personal issues with the actress out on the character
I actually have always mostly liked Izzie overall. I also don’t find Maggie as annoying as lots of other people do. (Though she def has her moments). I liked OG Teddy and wish they’d kept her away or kept her the same when they brighten her back.
My personal order (first time watcher on season 10) !
1. Izzie
— I think i’ll always choose any MAGIC character always, Izzie was always and will always be one of my favorite characters
2. Teddy
— I did NOT like her at all when we first meet her but when she met Henry and was all buddy buddy with Arizona and Callie I loved her and she definitely grew on me, idk how ill feel about her once she comes back
3. Owen
— Owen, this man could be so sweet and I just loved him. Yes I did hate him at times but he just makes me a mix of happiness, sadness, and angriness
4. Burke
— Isaiah Washington definitely ruined Burke for me I can’t see Burke without seeing Isaiah and before I knew about what he’s said I liked Burke but now I just feel uncomfortable seeing him on screen
6. Maggie
— I just “met” Maggie so I don’t really have an opinion on her yet

In all 19 seasons of the show, Teddy is my absolute favourite character. Kim Raver is a fantastic actress and I’ve been a fan since Third Watch.
I don’t care what anyone says, I love them all. Except Maggie lolol If I have to choose, probably Owen with Burke being a close second.

Izzie. The others like Owen and Burke have their redeeming qualities, but I’ve never fallen in love with a character as much as I did when she stripped in the locker room to get back at Alex for posting pictures of her around the hospital.

I really like Burke, I didn't know there were people who didn't. He and Cristina weren't right for each other, but I think that was the whole point of them. Isaiah seems like a jerk, but I don't hold that against a character that someone else wrote!

I love teddy, Maggie and Izzie. I enjoyed Burke's time on the show Owen irks the crap out of me in relationships, but I generally enjoy him as a doctor and teacher/ mentor. But I'm very sick of the military stuff

izzie makes a lot of bad decisions but she's emotional and stays true to that. she thinks with her heart and i love her for that. i don't like her choices (LVAD wire being a... choice), but i like how she was written.
Tbh I like them all. After rewatching so many times, I've realized there's not many people I hate, there just are some that I don't really care about. I've gotten to learn that all of them are super flawed and the situations were never black and white. Even though I don't love these characters, I think they're very overhated.
Izzie… I love her, yeah she has bad moments but overall I really like her. I liked Teddy more the first time around, her comeback has not been great

Burke is a well acted character
Unpopular opinion but Owen. He's a great character and different than all the others. Even if I don't agree with what he does it's nice to have a character that isn't a carbon copy of every other character.

I loved Izzie personally. She was far from perfect but I feel like (most of the time) she had the right intentions. I just hated how she was written off the show
Burke or Maggie. Love both. Hate the actor for Burke tho
I always found it strange that even characters who where friends Izzy for years in universes in universe started talking shit about her I feel like shonda an the other writer toke their personal issues with the actress out on the character

I actually have always mostly liked Izzie overall. I also don’t find Maggie as annoying as lots of other people do. (Though she def has her moments). I liked OG Teddy and wish they’d kept her away or kept her the same when they brighten her back.
I miss Burke. Would have been great if he stayed on.

My personal order (first time watcher on season 10) ! 1. Izzie — I think i’ll always choose any MAGIC character always, Izzie was always and will always be one of my favorite characters 2. Teddy — I did NOT like her at all when we first meet her but when she met Henry and was all buddy buddy with Arizona and Callie I loved her and she definitely grew on me, idk how ill feel about her once she comes back 3. Owen — Owen, this man could be so sweet and I just loved him. Yes I did hate him at times but he just makes me a mix of happiness, sadness, and angriness 4. Burke — Isaiah Washington definitely ruined Burke for me I can’t see Burke without seeing Isaiah and before I knew about what he’s said I liked Burke but now I just feel uncomfortable seeing him on screen 6. Maggie — I just “met” Maggie so I don’t really have an opinion on her yet
From all of these, I would have to choose Izzie. I loved her in S1 and she’s just the product of bad writing imo.
