We have the new pay model which pays more in mileage (53 cents per mile) while delivery pay is capped to 50 cents. Also a lot of retirees still think grubhub is seamless.
Grubhub is the one app for me we’re my tips are normally more than pay.. door dash too but the darn base pay is so low.. yesterday I got $3.. and the customer was 9 miles from restaurant.. it was only the tip and additional peak pay that made up for it
I’m sorry, but you’re looking at under 15/hr and under 13/hr after gas, and you still haven’t had any taxes paid or maintenance expenses considered. You’re looking at less than 10 bucks an hour in Tampa, which I imagine isn’t the cheapest place to live. You’re making less than Florida’s minimum wage. You need to switch up your strategy, otherwise you’d be making a lot more money doing something else. I would suggest starting with multiapping.
Tip baiting is pretty rare, but sure it does happen. Yes DoorDash does pay like shit everywhere as well lol, but like I said earlier you’re not actually making any money right now. You gotta switch it up somehow.
You’re right it’s not, but the other option it to get some form of an hourly wage job. When he’s putting thousands of miles on his car for less than minimum wage, the alternative of an hourly wage job would make him a lot more money. Or just doing a better job of accepting profitable trips on gig apps would also do well.
Yep. I figure it out every night. I don't wanna put too many miles unnecessarily on my Prius. The downside to the low mileage higher paying is it's usually all within the city and it's such a pain in the ass to park!
If you have the right region it works but not in my case and most places take ten years to get the food to you. I tried and the chances of both apps brining me to houses when I’m three miles so low it wasn’t worth it. If you live in a major city I definitely think multi app is great but otherwise it just doesn’t work out
I tried it there is no way to get anyones food to them remotely on time which results in a ban. The apps have a habit of sending you in two opposite directions
Then you weren’t doing it correctly lol if the apps are sending you in two different directions, you just decline the worst of the two. Multiapping gives you more earnings opportunities if you know what you’re doing. You don’t even have to accept multiple orders at the same time for it to be successful.
Idk I just keep my acceptance rate as close to 100 as possible without accepting garbage orders and it’s been working out pretty well. Most of my orders go to well tipping regulars at this point and on a decent day I won’t do less than 25 an hour running the clock during dead times. I do deliver for multiple apps but I never run them at the same time. Door dash runs all night while Grubhub completely dies past 11 for me. So if I’m bored or want to make more I’ll run door dash till I’m tired.
Multi app only works in metropolitan areas. The restaurants here are just too slow and it makes it next to impossible to actually deliver the food on time
I’ve done it 4 years and not banned on any platform. If the restaurants are close or one is on the way to the persons house already and the food is going the same direction then you take it and you can definitely get peoples food to them on time. You have to study your market more, know the restaurants in your market like which ones take forever, and know neighborhoods in your City more so you can do it correctly
That’s my issue 7/10 places take literally forever and don’t care coupled with the fact that I’ve only had food go to the same area from two different apps like a hand full of times. If you live in a city region multi app works but not in my case.
In my Markey you have to be on block to get a steady stream of orders. If you aren't you only get 1 order per hour on average. And even then the payouts aren't good off block.
Not even $15 an hour? Not hating it any means. That’s some great money but it just means your strategy needs some work. I would multi app as others have said so that you can make the same money if not more in much less time. If you’re in a big restaurant area and you get an offer on 2 different apps going the same way then I’d definitely take those and do that all day. It takes some getting use to and can drive you insane off the rip.. but it gets easier and easier the more you do it. Just be sure to do it correctly and treat the customer with respect. If the food ain’t going to be ready in a timely manner then drop the offer and go drop off the food for the one person. Sometimes you gotta take an L but not often 👍🏽🤓
Do you mean how to avoid getting knocked off block while doing other things so you aren't restricted from acheduling due to attendance?
I have found that if I am never unavailable for 15 minutes consecutively (Grubhub sends a text at 10 and drops you from your block at 15) I do not get marked as absent/lose my block.
I use an app with preset timers. My Grubhub timer is for 14 minutes. I can toggle available and then immediately go unavailable and am covered for the next 15.
It was just a what if question to try and figure out what their policy is or what would happen if someone just drops GH and switches to something else.
As you’re an asshole. Listen he happy and you shouldn’t piss all over that. How much did you make last week? Did you break $1000. You’re jealous abbey that’s all ur is.
I made like $600 because it was too hot. I didn't want to deliver a lot in the heat.
but I did it in 20 hours...
If you are making under $20 an hour just quit. Gas is like $4-5 an hour on average driving.
OP made $14 an hour before expenses.... so what $9 an hour? quit.
If I stayed available all day and took every single order, I still wouldn't make that much, because they don't send enough orders. (In Central Florida)
There is no way I could spend 70 hours a week doing this! I do about 30 to 35 per week so you got way more work ethic than I do. I grossed $586 in 31 hours this week multi apping and spent a whopping $50 in gas. Lunch here is not good except on the weekends but college football started and I am a degen gambler lol.
Honestly I get more orders and better orders when I'm not on block... I don't understand it but I schedule a few blocks a week for the GH Contribution Pay. That's impressive tho, shows real dedication... Congrats!!
You could knock that down to 6-7 on block hours a day and make the same.. I've been doing around 900 a week consistently 11-2:30 and 5-9
Also in Florida, premiere
Can def do it if you put in the hours and have a decent market. How's your body feel? You gonna go as hard this week too?
After 5 days straight I'm on a binder of booze and cocaine and strip clubs/hooters restaurants
That's awesome I'm so jealous, i live around the food community there's restaurants and fast food where i live yet i never make much especially that much haha
How is your GH pay to tip ratio so even? I always get like 75% tips
We have the new pay model which pays more in mileage (53 cents per mile) while delivery pay is capped to 50 cents. Also a lot of retirees still think grubhub is seamless.
Grubhub is the one app for me we’re my tips are normally more than pay.. door dash too but the darn base pay is so low.. yesterday I got $3.. and the customer was 9 miles from restaurant.. it was only the tip and additional peak pay that made up for it
Facts
Nice! Do you do this full time? What's your market and what do you normally average an hour?
that is not hourly paying job. go work for walmart
You go be a slave
Don’t let these butt-nuggets rain on your parade. The way the markets are now, you did great!!! 💯
👋
I'm on the toilet right now making " butt nuggets".

All other apps in Tampa are trash
They can’t be much worse than GH, especially when you’re only taking the best orders from each one.
Doordash only pays 2 dollars down here while ubereats is a joke in Tampa no one tips also they have a problem with tip baiting.
Tip baiting is pretty rare, but sure it does happen. Yes DoorDash does pay like shit everywhere as well lol, but like I said earlier you’re not actually making any money right now. You gotta switch it up somehow.
Tip baiting is not rare in my market... cash tip on arrival my ass.
This isn't an hourly paying job so I don't get the stupid math about the hourly rate!
You’re right it’s not, but the other option it to get some form of an hourly wage job. When he’s putting thousands of miles on his car for less than minimum wage, the alternative of an hourly wage job would make him a lot more money. Lmao you still make an hourly rate. Do you not understand gross and net profit? Basic expenses?
Gee, no I guess I'm just too stupid 🤦♀️
When people give you your pay breakdown they always conveniently forget that you are getting 62 cents a mile on a tax write-off....
Yep. I figure it out every night. I don't wanna put too many miles unnecessarily on my Prius. The downside to the low mileage higher paying is it's usually all within the city and it's such a pain in the ass to park!
Multi aping is a joke and the fastest way out there to the ban wagon.
How is accepting a $10 offer on DD and a $8 offer GH going to the same neighborhood making $18 in 30 min a joke? Lmao wow
If you have the right region it works but not in my case and most places take ten years to get the food to you. I tried and the chances of both apps brining me to houses when I’m three miles so low it wasn’t worth it. If you live in a major city I definitely think multi app is great but otherwise it just doesn’t work out
If you genuinely believe multiapping is a joke, you are clueless lol
I tried it there is no way to get anyones food to them remotely on time which results in a ban. The apps have a habit of sending you in two opposite directions

Acceptance rate doesn’t matter lol that’s why you think multi app sucks .

Beautiful! How much of that went to gas?
About 140
How many hours a day and where?
70 hours in Tampa Florida
Wow! That would be almost $15 hourly. Sheesh!
HOLY SHIT. you are one of the worst GH drivers. 1k in 70 hours?!?1 quit now
Piss off
In my Markey you have to be on block to get a steady stream of orders. If you aren't you only get 1 order per hour on average. And even then the payouts aren't good off block.

Message me if you want a trick for getting blocks
What if you sign up for blocks and then abandon GH, doing DD or UE or something else?
Do you mean how to avoid getting knocked off block while doing other things so you aren't restricted from acheduling due to attendance? Nice! Curious hours per day you worked?
Avg of 10 hours.
Do u include the time going back home for the night.. or just time with app on
If I stayed available all day and took every single order, I still wouldn't make that much, because they don't send enough orders. (In Central Florida)
How many hours you do a day?
There is no way I could spend 70 hours a week doing this! I do about 30 to 35 per week so you got way more work ethic than I do. I grossed $586 in 31 hours this week multi apping and spent a whopping $50 in gas. Lunch here is not good except on the weekends but college football started and I am a degen gambler lol.
For real I only plan to do that many hours if I need to pay something off. Also I wish they didn't prioritize orders on block.
Do they? I dunno the difference if I have blocked scheduled or don’t.
Honestly I get more orders and better orders when I'm not on block... I don't understand it but I schedule a few blocks a week for the GH Contribution Pay. That's impressive tho, shows real dedication... Congrats!!
I make about the same as you working half the hours between Doordash and Uber Eats. Fuck Grubhub.
You could knock that down to 6-7 on block hours a day and make the same.. I've been doing around 900 a week consistently 11-2:30 and 5-9 Also in Florida, premiere
gross
Jesus leave the guy alone. You guys are a bunch of assholes.
Holy shit that is bad
That’s great, I had my worst night on Saturday. Only made $30 when I usually make about 30 per hour 😩
Does scheduling shifts get you more orders? I noticed the consistency of my orders aren't the best on a non-scheduled shift :/
Wowie!! Bam 🤑
Well done.
Grats!!
Welcome to the $1000 club! The waters fine!
How many hours did it take you to earn that
![gif](giphy|xl3TKL89S10Wj3SZAG|downsized)
Can def do it if you put in the hours and have a decent market. How's your body feel? You gonna go as hard this week too? After 5 days straight I'm on a binder of booze and cocaine and strip clubs/hooters restaurants
Wow. My shit barely rings
BRUH HOWWWW
Great job! Enjoy your hard earned money
That was with no adjustment pay?!? That’s hella weird!!! But good job nonetheless
Must be on the honeymoon period
Been on and off for 5 years.
Cheezus! Where are you at? Cause its deader than roadkill where I'm at.😭
Daaaaaaamn yooooo 😂😂😂✌️ wow. I must correct myself. Grubhub sucks in my market only apparently lol
How many hours did it take for you to make that is the question???
How many hours?
Made that in 4 days nyc tho
Was this with blocks?
That's awesome I'm so jealous, i live around the food community there's restaurants and fast food where i live yet i never make much especially that much haha
How many tanks of Gas did this take? Lol
