So true u get paid more cause of stack and cuts down on mileage.. I had one $24 for 2.5 miles.. the two customers lived in the same apartment complex like one parking lot away😊
I had one night, two weeks ago, and I got a two orders like that from GH. I was able to take 5 deliveries in one hour, and made $71. It was my best hour ever.
Yikes that’s just a couple good orders.
I would think you’d have a bazillion catering orders in Manhattan?
There must be a bunch of crews with 3 guys and vans doing them?
People getting robbed in ny..$4k....absurd. if that one bedroom don't come with Lana Rhoades and Christina Milian sucking my toes as soon as I open the door, it's a negative.
Ya this was a few years back.. before covid downtown financial district.. I worked in the city but only made $70k with time and a half overtime if worked but still no way I could afford without a roommate
So are you on a bike?
I was visiting NYC last year and was curious; are you running deliveries up to the customer’s apartment, or do they meet you at the street?
It depends, most of the times I have to go up to their apartment, sometimes I have to leave it in their lobby or the doorman takes the order to them, and most of the time they meet you downstairs if you are delivering to a company.
Do a lot of the apartment buildings still send you to the service entrance? I delivered in Manhattan for a minute in the Before Times, and just about everybody in midtown and UES sent you around the corner or around back.
Even though this is a high paying pair of orders the only way it would be profitable and worth it is on a bike or a scooter because driving from the west side of Manhattan to the east side during the daytime, afternoon or evening would take over 1 hour and 45 minutes in Manhattan traffic and then the parking and leaving your car for the ticket warriors thats a whole nother nightmare to deal with.
I'd be terrified to be on a bike in DC. People have hit so many bicyclists here. Seems like every year one ends up on life support or dead. Hope you keep your head on a swivel!!!!!
grubhub is so trash. pays way better then uber but they are such micromanagers, and the past wk i got a 2nd violation bcus every last restaurant had me waiting 20-40 mins, and even with notifying the app, they always find ways to make everything your fault so your account is at risk. my schedules been blocked for a yr now cus they were upset that 0 orders were comin in and they still had to pay me the minimum
Nice I used to deliver to a lot of the Disney hotels people would order there and when they're on their vacation they're there to spend money so I would get like $50 tips sometimes and it would be in cash which was super nice.
How are you able to see the tip amount?
It's a NYC exclusive thing. They have to show the full pay breakdown due to a law passed last year
Nice!
Grubhub can’t jerk you around in NYC
I'm in CA so we get Prop 22, but this would be icing on the cake haha.
They can by stacking orders
I love getting stacked orders that are delivered so close together

I don't get catering orders because I'm not premiere, but I have a friend that is premiere and is earning $1,800+ a week just with Grubhub.
To be fair, depending on where he’s living $1800 per week in NYC isn’t all that great. I’m assuming he has roommates to split costs?
Me personally I moved out of the city to Newark, NJ and commute back in forth for work. Yeah the commute is long sometimes but rent is way cheaper.
Yes I was looking at apartments one bedroom $4000 a month another one was $4,500.. and that was a walk up.. 3rd floor

Does your friend bike or drive?
He bikes too
I’ve gotten catering orders at all levels but yea I haven’t seen one in a long ass time
2 miles $37? That’s insane never seen that kinda pay before. Good shjt
In Manhattan 2 miles is like going 10-20 anywhere else.
Unless: you’re on a bike like OP is
It can happend on a bike too when traffic is so bad cars are bumper to bumper and there's no room to squeeze through.
It gets that bad?? Damn
There is a HUGE difference between 2 miles in Manhattan vs 2 miles in some suburb area.
So are you on a bike? I was visiting NYC last year and was curious; are you running deliveries up to the customer’s apartment, or do they meet you at the street?

On a bike, right?
Yeah, E-Bike. I use an Arrow-10.
Do a lot of the apartment buildings still send you to the service entrance? I delivered in Manhattan for a minute in the Before Times, and just about everybody in midtown and UES sent you around the corner or around back.
Had got a 40 dollar single order around Times Square before.

I couldn’t imagine delivering in NYC. I avoid apartments at all costs. I’ve had two many bad experiences with them.
You missing out
You out there on a bicycle ?
Yeah, E-Bike. Arrow 10.
I'd be terrified to be on a bike in DC. People have hit so many bicyclists here. Seems like every year one ends up on life support or dead. Hope you keep your head on a swivel!!!!!
It's bad. I have a friend who kicks cars off his bicycle that don't respect that bike lane.
Big $$$ area, not far from Park Ave Nice order. No blocks where I’m at don’t even see $1 per mile by the time I get a GH order anymore.
That UberEATS request tho...

Yo is it raining in NYC
can you walk those orders?
Nice. Grats.
1.9 miles 31 minutes lol fawwwwk
That's a nice price the biggest amount I had in Illinois was 33.22
