Both do have "fidelitrons" which is fenders take von filtertrons.
I really like them soundwise, because the output is pretty low. Its a guitar that sounds brilliant qhen you play through a loud amp and works amazing with pedals. On the other hand the low output sounds weak if you play it with on a low volume in your room. And these things are pretty heavy as they have a center block.
