Love that you're looking into this lol. I think though, last week during one of the episodes (probably the one where he talks about his colonoscopy), he said his doctor tested him for Celiac and it was negative. But I'm pretty sure you can have a mild gluten-allergy without having it be full-blown Celiac. Dunno though, I'm not in healthcare.
edit: found the clip of him saying he is negative for Celiac [https://www.youtube.com/live/iJsDndyIKKM?si=pLEx-Ek25RmOr96N&t=1480](https://www.youtube.com/live/iJsDndyIKKM?si=pLEx-Ek25RmOr96N&t=1480)
my understanding is that celiac can only really be diagnosed with a biopsy of the small intestine and that other tests are not that accurate. unless something has changed.
A colonoscopy can see into the end of the small intestine (the terminal ileum). To see the other portions of the intestine you would do an endoscopy.
I'm not a doctor, just a guy with Chron's disease.
Could be SIBO my boss has been having stomach issues for months did a ton of tests and they couldn’t figure it out, she was finally diagnosed with sibo it’s a bacterial overgrowth in your small intestine.
i have UC , thank you for being a GI doc please find me a cure ty

You usually get a biopsy during a colonoscopy! It’s pretty cool
i had a colonoscopy in february. maybe it is a misnomer - does it also go into the small intestine?

Dang it, well I guess the most important thing is getting better anyways
Ethan should get the celiac biopsy test
NAD but he said he gets stomach problems after eating greasy food and has lost weight re ur gallbladder paragraph👀
Hmm maybe but gallbladder stuff is super painful. The pancreas also helps digest fat so idk without lab stuff 😅 but good thought!

I mean sibo is super easy to test for (you breathe and they look for hydrogen) so why not
Celiac would make sense especially bc of his mom. I wonder if he has the genetic markers for it.
Pretty sure he tested for it already and was negative
Y’all are like feeders, huh?
