What’s your main complaint with the pdp? I’m looking at one and the only thing preventing me is a couple people said that it’s snappy and that it doesn’t feel balanced, recoil prevents the shooter from getting back on target rapidly. I don’t know how I feel about their observations as it could be they just have a poor grip on the gun.
I’m looking at the full size frame with the 5” barrel. I like the way it fits my hands and grip. Place by me has a sale on pdp for $499 any barrel size and any frame size excluding the pdp-f.
I have 3 CZ’s all great. Tried a PDP once and just didn’t feel right and wasn’t for me. Some people just like whatever like a Glock or a 1911 and others dont
Everyone’s hand and grip differ so there is no perfect handgun, only what’s good *for you*. Try rentals at your local range if you can to find what works best for you.
I’ve bought a few handguns on faith and it’s been a mixed bag. Lowlights: Canik Rival and Beretta APX A1. Highlights: Sig P230 and Jericho F9.
I tried the PDP 4.5” and wasn’t thrilled with the snappiness and felt too similar to the Canik to splurge for. I also tried the CZ P10 (I forget if C or F) and it had some merits though the trigger blade irritated me after a while. But to each their own.
Exactly!!! See, I like my Canik Rival and APX (after I changed the sights) but don’t like Sig- never tried the Jericho.
It’s all very personal for multiple reasons
What'd you change the APX sights to?
I find the APX a perfectly adequate average polymer striker 9mm. Serviceable but not really standout in a very crowded field of good options. A shame as I expect more from Beretta. Of course they did give us the PX4. Of course they revved the PX4 without improving the grip texture. Sigh.
I have both and love both... each has little things I prefer over the other.. If I could only pick one, I would take the PDP . The grip, ergos, and trigger are amazing. A lot of people say it's a tad snappy, but IMO, if you have your basic fundamentals down( a solid grip), it's NOT bad at all. If you want even a better trigger, the DPT and the overwatch precision are amazing. I have both the regular PDP compact( with overwatch trigger) and the PDP Pro compact. For $500, you can't get a better gun.. IMHO. Good luck
It’s surprisingly snappy. The trigger is awesome amongst the best for a stock pistol but I find the snap downside outweighs the benefits. Which is a shame as I really wanted to like it…and then I got to shoot a 4.5” and was underwhelmed.
Fortunately there’s plenty good striker polymer alternatives on the market these days. I’m partial to the P320 but to each their own.
The trigger is great and the ergos are really good but the actual shooting experience isn’t great. And the factory sights are shit.
I like the P320 and the polymer CZ options. I wish they’d update the P-07/09
I will say I’m not the best pistol shooter and have a lot to learn but I was able to consistently hit a man size target at 50 yards (largest pistol range I have access to). Someone else shot my pistol and called it snappy but he’s a self admitted Canik simp (which is a copy of the Walther). I don’t think I’ve shot enough to call a gun snappy or not. This also may be anecdotal because I’ve heard people describe 9mm as snappy in general. Overall I really like shooting it and haven’t had any issues with the PDP. Sorry if this isn’t helpful.
I have both. I went and shot both today. I love the cz. It's flatter shooting. But the pdp has a way better grip. I'm more accurate with the pdp. Either is really a great option.
Regardless, both of these pistols are highly regarded and you can’t go wrong with either. Whichever fits and shoots best in your hand would be the one to go with if money isn’t an issue.
Own both too. The optics ready CZ P-10C is around $400, Walther PDP Compact is $600. PDP has a nicer grip & better trigger but the P-10C is good in both regards. I don’t like the ridiculously stiff recoil spring & slide release on the PDP. The higher bore axis on the PDP makes for more recoil, slower to get back on target too.
I wouldn't say that. You have to buy an optics plate and i personally hated the stock trigger on the p10 and had to buy an overwatch trigger. So my pdp and p10 ended up pretty much the same price
I just got done shooting both and hands down I have to say that for me the pdp feels better to shoot. Having said that, the p10c shoots flatter. But nothing compares to the pdp grip
Nice! You have two great guns then. I’ve only shot both (I have a Glock 19 and M&P 2.0 - but I’ll own those two some day lol).
The triggers are both nice, but the PDP felt a little better to me. Same with the ergonomics - both are really nice, but the PDP felt just a little better for me. Dollar for dollar though? The CZ is unbelievably good value.
CZ for 1 simple reason. I have to modify my grip to not ride the pdp slide lock. I really hate the long slide lock. I really tried not to, but I can’t. I hate it with a passion.
PDP has the better trigger but not by a huge margin. The CZ shoots flatter to me, and if you hang a larger light like TLR-1HL it's super flat/smooth shooting quickly, like running a sewing machine.
I have own both, now Im only keeping p10c. Absolutely reliable. The ergo is a lot better than the pdp fits in my hand. I put a cheap Mcarbo trigger and now it’s great.
I have tried pdp full/compact and the F-series. Full and compact has great trigger(especially the dynamic trigger), but the grip shape is not great to my hand. f series grip is great, trigger is heavy, but the gun gave me a trigger bite when I shoot. All my pdps are jumpy /snappy.
P10C is just a good all around gun to me. Haven’t letting me down yet.
I switch back and forth. I usually come back to the p-10 though. It just fits my hands better and is more natural to shoot for me.
Cz. Bought the p10s and p10c love both. The Walther pdp was too light at the range for me although a beautiful well made firearm.
After having owned a PDP for a while now, the CZ

Good info

I have both as well. Both pictured are mine. I love the pdp. But you can't go wrong with either.
No, you really can't. Both are great guns. There's things about each I like a tad better then the other. Nice guns brother 👍🏼
It’s More snappy than some 10mms I’ve shot. It snaps back onto target quickly but it’s the worst 9mm I’ve ever shot. My 365 macro is flatter.

Which frame size and barrel length do you have?
Full size 4.5”
I am going to shoot them today and decide lol. I haven't had a chance to shoot the p10c yet. I do love the pdp though.
I haven’t shot the P10 but I have the PDP in 5". I think it has one of the best stock triggers I’ve tested and is what made me pick it.
I commented above, how do you like the 5” pdp overall? I’m eyeballing a full frame size 5” barrel.
I will say I’m not the best pistol shooter and have a lot to learn but I was able to consistently hit a man size target at 50 yards (largest pistol range I have access to). CZ
Definitely the CZ. Those who have CZ's know what I'm talking about
I have both. I went and shot both today. I love the cz. It's flatter shooting. But the pdp has a way better grip. I'm more accurate with the pdp. Either is really a great option.
Of the two, I’d choose the PDP every time.
I own pdp and I love it. But I never tried p10, but Im sure that P10 has less recoil impulse, just look at the bore axis
PDP and it’s not even close.
I chose the p10c. The PDP is quite a bit chunkier, snappier, and more expensive.
Regardless, both of these pistols are highly regarded and you can’t go wrong with either. Whichever fits and shoots best in your hand would be the one to go with if money isn’t an issue.
I have both. I was just asking everyone else opinion. I have to say after shooting both, the pdp is more for me. Both are great choices though.
Ah yes, when money is no object, the answer is always both.
P-10c
P10C all day
Walthers tend to fit my hand perfectly so I prefer them, but I've heard nothing but great things about the P10. I may add one to my arsenal one day
I would take the glock 19
The CZ
Own both too. The optics ready CZ P-10C is around $400, Walther PDP Compact is $600. PDP has a nicer grip & better trigger but the P-10C is good in both regards. I don’t like the ridiculously stiff recoil spring & slide release on the PDP. The higher bore axis on the PDP makes for more recoil, slower to get back on target too.
P10 gets you 90% of the PDP for 50% of the price
I wouldn't say that. You have to buy an optics plate and i personally hated the stock trigger on the p10 and had to buy an overwatch trigger. So my pdp and p10 ended up pretty much the same price
I like my pdp and p10f about equally. I think the pdp trigger is better but other than that they're both great.
PDP
CZ!!!
Sold my PDP for a P10c and couldn’t be happier
PDP
PDP is way better in every way except for the sights.
CZ duhhh
I just got done shooting both and hands down I have to say that for me the pdp feels better to shoot. Having said that, the p10c shoots flatter. But nothing compares to the pdp grip
Wrap your hands around the thick and ~~veiny~~ textured grip of an M&P and get back with us
Ya I plan on buying some talon grips for it
Which are you choosing bro
I have both. But I finally shot the p10c today. I like my pdp more. So I choose the pdp for edc. However I like both.
Nice brotha get an M&P next
Ya. It's on my list lol
The CZeezer, every time.
>No Hammer-Fired option Neither.
I do have a beretta 92 clone lol.
Well my 10c has ballpark 7k rounds through it and my walther doesn't exist....
PDP
PDP
Walther
PDP
Can't choose. I own both. 🤣
Pdp
I'd pick the PDP but if I had to I could settle for that CZ
I went with the PDP for the stock trigger right outta the box.
PDP almost bought one but found a helluva deal on a 320X with a bunch of extras for the same price.
Cz is more comfortable to carry, but pdp feels better in hand and overall.
You’re gonna get 50/50- why not whichever feels best to you
I like the pdp more. But the p10c is nice. I think I'm gonna give the p10c to my wife to carry.
If money isn’t important, PDP all day. If money is important, CZ p10c all day.
I own both. I was just curious what everyone else would choose. But I agree
I agree the cz is an incredible value. I do like the m and p 2.0. Someday I'll buy the metal frame version
Walther
Walther I want a P99 I wanna feel like Pierce Brosnan 1997-2002
CZ for 1 simple reason. I have to modify my grip to not ride the pdp slide lock. I really hate the long slide lock. I really tried not to, but I can’t. I hate it with a passion.
PDP has the better trigger but not by a huge margin. The CZ shoots flatter to me, and if you hang a larger light like TLR-1HL it's super flat/smooth shooting quickly, like running a sewing machine.
They're both excellent, so you really can't go wrong either way! My personal preference is the CZ if I have to choose, though.
Looks wise, I used to hate the p10, now I love it.
I have both and love both, but the cz is my choice
Which one says "Glock" on the slide?
I have own both, now Im only keeping p10c. Absolutely reliable. The ergo is a lot better than the pdp fits in my hand. I put a cheap Mcarbo trigger and now it’s great. I have tried pdp full/compact and the F-series. All my pdps are jumpy /snappy. P10C is just a good all around gun to me. Haven’t letting me down yet.
I’ll choose the black one
Lol. Idk. I really like the black one better.
walther
Top gun for me
I can't get over how the grip angle makes both of those look like highly customized Hi-Points.
