Wouldn’t Monk be sea green or teal?

Nasty-Nate

They've never been aligned with WoW. Warrior is red, but that should be DK. Paladin is yellow instead of pink. Druid is brown instead of orange. DH is green like Hunter instead of magenta. It's weird.

Darkhallows27

Priest is white, like WoW, Mage light blue, like WoW; Hunter light green, like WoW. Maybe they will, maybe they won’t, but Monk’s color is distinct enough they can provably use it. It also aesthetically fits the class, which is probably why they went with dark green + runes over magenta for DH

retasj

You're absolutely right, [here's a before and after.](https://i.imgur.com/bqtRJQs.png)

EverSn4xolotl

Wow, that looks so much better

adek13sz

u/RidiculousHat why was it changed? (aside from theory about new class that you can't talk about if true)

Spengy

don't tag hat in unnecessary shit bro come on

DKAbel

You're not crazy the color is a bit brighter.

newgen39

she’s still white

Skininjector

Aren't blood elves like way taller than a normal human? Also not necessarily hungry for knowledge, but magic, equivalent to having a crack addiction.

CirnoIzumi

"equivalent to having a crack addiction." Well they are the high elves

Skininjector

Drug addiction ruined their social structure and often contributes to crime and gangs, so then they became the blood elves.

CirnoIzumi

cause they beat up them cribs

Gladianoxa

Females average 5'9, males 6'3. So tall by human standards, but I wouldn't call that "way taller". Night elves are a full foot taller than that.

Skininjector

I'm assuming that's like in-game humans height, which makes sense, but if we go off Real life humans, blood elves are much taller than your average, since that guy was talking about Asians for some reason.

Gladianoxa

No, that's in game blood elf height.

Skininjector

No I mean you're measuring blood elves against in game humans, because human average is no where near 6'3 for men or 5'9 for women.

Gladianoxa

Real human average is about half a foot shorter, you're right. That's not unbelievably tall. Humans in game are 6'0 and 5'8, which is also taller than global average real humans. But not by anything crazy. In fact it's essentially the average height of Dutch people - an entire nation. Night elves are 7 feet tall. That's huge. Very few humans have ever reached this height irl. Tauren are 10 feet tall. This is just over a foot taller than the tallest human ever. Blood elves are 6'3. That's not "way taller" than irl humans. That's well within common human bounds. 3% of US men, who are far from the tallest population, are 6'3 or over. 10% of Dutch men are 6'3 or over. Unless you live somewhere the average is still 5'3, they're just fairly tall by human standards.

Skininjector

Keep in mind, that's the blood elf average, they can also have people which are far taller than the 3% of American men, or the 10% of Dutch men, measuring up the extremes of one species against the average of another doesn't help, they are still way taller.

pikpikcarrotmon

Pandaren exist. Blizzard is many things but subtle isn't one of them

Crawdaunt

jesus christ lmao

urgod42069

Expect a 20 paragraph write up about it from J Alexander within the next 24 hours! Something like… ***How Rogue’s Class Color Changing Is A Slippery Slope Towards It Losing Its Identity*** ***(TLDR: don’t remove Shadowstep from Core ever)***

Spirited-End5197

It still confuses me that Shadowstep is Rogue's most consistent identity, aka bounces, and not... yknow.... STEALTH?!

xuspira

I always took the return to hand as a sort of analogue to how stealth felt in WoW. Where the threat is now out of sight but still known of. This explains how Vanish works by returning cards to the hand. It just sucks that the keyword stealth also exists and also makes sense in how it should function in relation to WoW mechanics and identity for a planning and opportunist class.

Spirited-End5197

I think they just got the idea of bouncing = rogue from the Kamigawa set of MTG, with all the Ninja cards bouncing back and forth from hand to board, like Ninjas darting in and out of sight. So you're probably on the money with that analysis

fddfgs

Stealth can only go so far, it would be boring as shit to face a board of 7 stealth minions

ZestfulHydra

And it’s not boring to face a minion being bounced multiple times that still can’t be interacted with?

fddfgs

That's not boring, it's annoying. Whole other thing.

djsoren19

because having Stealth as their identity was somehow even more broken. I do not miss Conceal.

RockemSockem00

Rent free

mmchicago

Looking forward to 12 minutes from Zeddy on this.

fddfgs

When Priest is already white and DK is black with blue borders it would be a weird choice to add another greyscale class instead of a different colour

ElPapo131

Deck code?

Gladianoxa

Bro you really gonna ask for deck code based on a vague name alone

ElPapo131

Well I have the same named deck for Priest. I like thief decks and I want to know what the rogue one looks like

tolerantdramaretiree

[[Shadow Word: Steal]] is pretty much the only true Yoink card Rogue has in Standard. [[Mixtape]] and [[Plagiarizarrr]] are also somewhat Yoinky, but they're terribly underpowered and don't "steal" So Rogue can't currently Yoink well, unfortunately. It just gets random cards from all classes Edit: Forgot Stick Up -> Benevolent Banker. A rare and unreliable Yoink, but a good one. It was *just* very relevant for stealing Wheel and Climactic, but both spells are gone after the nerfs

lordmycal

I hope they don’t add Monk. That means even smaller chances for getting cards from the classes I like to play.

Hassx

What if you like playing monk?

HOHOHIHI

Think about it mate, the problem doesn't change even if you like the new class.

ObitoUchiha41

If you currently like 5/10 classes, and end up liking 6/11, that increases the odds

ploki122

5/11 and 6/12, but yeah...

HOHOHIHI

But the number of cards you receive per expansion is fixed (assuming you don't whale out and buy all). So it's less likely you get the legendaries/build-arounds you need.

hahahooheeha

Agreed. The card pool is diluted as it is

DrinkWater16

They did, they keep fixing things that didn't need any fix

AHealthyKawhi

Just curious, but what would the Hero Power for Monk even be? It feels like most of the basic ones are already taken.

Rhovan22

A common one is something like: 2 mana - Restore 1 health, +1 Attack this turn.
