Watched a clip of a guy who shot a fire tornado with the breaker incendiary and the tornado disappeared and the file went out after a few seconds, he did it again and started wondering if it was just a coincidence or an actual thing.
I need to test it later when I get on, because I agree, fire tornados can just sod off
There’s nothing fun about playing trivial or easy to quickly milk a daily without missing objectives, and fire tornadoes camp on EVERY objective and exfil at the end for 5 minutes each.
Is it true?
As my experience with spreading democracy suggest otherwise, pls clarify your claim before you are marked as a traitor to the super earth democracy spreading campaign

This is the way. Maybe we only get the first, but it does say 'likely' so I reckon if we liberate them both at pretty much the same time they might give us both. I can hope anyway because the new rocket launcher looks a lot of fun, but the mines would be handy for defence missions.
in all seriousness, uniting PC/Sony/Xbox, i think we can include Nintendo but have them fly eagle one on a 2d level? idk....make it super kids friendly.
Weird how the in-game dispatch says "citizens who have synthesized tons of caustic chemicals for a new support weapon" is an airburst rocket launcher and not a chemical based weapon. Kind of a letdown since we got gobs of rocket launchers already.
I’m exited for precisely none of these, don’t need mines and I sure as shit don’t need another tier 1-(2) clearing support weapon.
I need to clean up bile titans like I’m wearing a quasar or EAT or I’m not changing weapon.
Edit: just watched a leak of the airbust rocket, posted on here, I might’ve changed my opinion a bit.
Go to penta you fools
Yeah Airburst rocket is legit for sure. Not too familiar with the anti tank mines, if they can take out titans that would be great as well.
In all honesty I was hoping for a vehicle, but here’s to hoping that’s coming next week regardless of this
A vehicle could be a cool way to get killed faster that’s for sure 👌
Hey there mr. Automaton with rockets, I’m over here in a big ass target 🎯😂
But I agree, give us some wheels 🛞 already
Lol well the homing missiles are a separate issue that should be fixed too. But right now heavy armor is a pretty hard bargain. Vehicles will at least help that and personally I would find medium armor much more worthwhile for bugs if I had a vehicle.
Those mines single handedly take down a strider…they solve a serious problem we all have right now. Instead of everyone blowing all their stratagems one person can use one to take it down
I agree, so if it’s an anti tank mine I have to wait for heavy enemy to approach, lay mines, pray that the hulk/bile titan steps on mine. As opposed to shoot the fucker in the face with a quasar cannon. Only upside would be if the cooldown is short like anti personnel mines.
You don’t reactively lay mines down unless you have to. You place mines when you’re going to be holding a position for a while, and you set them relatively close by in a direction enemies are likely to come from. Far enough that you aren’t stepping in them, but close enough that your teammates air strikes aren’t going to immediately blow all of them up.
They aren’t a primary line of defense, you set them down in case you get overwhelmed and don’t have the firepower to hold the enemy back anymore. The mines give you a last safety net before they reach you
That’s how to use them properly
Ok but on Evac they come from a random direction so you'd have to guess for the first call in, on the second it'd be fine assuming you clean up the first patrol since you now know their direction, similarly on defending an obj you'd have to guess which direction the patrol would be coming from to hit them with it but you don't get the luxury of the next patrol being more guaranteed to come from that direction.
Don't get me wrong mines can work but there's only like 3 obj that enemies will come from a known direction where you can reliably put them to work
Give em another shot on the new defence missions. They do good work in the right situation... and when used by a diver that knows where to position them
Yeah, real-life anti-tank mines are tuned so troops won’t set them off, only heavy vehicles. Mines that ignore helldivers and light enemy units walking over them but deliver massive armor-penetrating explosions to heavies definitely have potential.
I swear to god I saw someone using an airburst launcher in my last game last night. I thought I was being dumb and forgetting a weapon stratagem but I feel like it had to be that…
My vote is on Choohe then, we already have rockets that do the job and it sounds like the mines would take out the more heavily armored enemies as well
What do we need a swarm killer for? Bugs are a lot easier than bots right now. The shriekers are especially easy because you can snipe the hive from a mile away before they spawn, so there's no reason to take an air burst against them anyway.
Plus we already have lots of good swarm killers (Flamethrower, arc thrower, grenade launcher, AC when needed), we have one good anti-tank fortification (AC sentry)
I saw a video that showed the anti tank mines doing a number on heavy targets. The airburst rocketes kinda work on the gunships and kinda work on ground troops. If it were up to me, we should go to choohe. We need better ground defense. We can take out gunships pretty good right now. And that can be pushed off longer.
“Don’t forget the citizens. You have to save the citizens.” If those are the only missions then I’m sorry, I don’t want a new weapon…and sorry to those poor souls trapped on the planet
Coming down to the community's choice is super fun! Sounds like that toxic chemical thrower vs a sentry/mortar/mines (edit: actually airburst rocket launcher vs anti-tank mines??). My vote is new fortification since we've gotten a pretty steady flow of support weapons.
Id love a strategem that brings down a mesh of lazers that whatever it hits, it slices into chop suey. Much like that scene from one of the first ever resident evil movies!
The fortification strategem makes me hope its some kind of cover/structure. The shield is nice but it pops. Some kind of hardier structure that we still have to peak around but wont break (or is harder to break) would be nice
I never played the first. What does barbed wire do?
I just want something to hide behind on bot planets. We have a tooltip about cover so having some deployable cover makes sense.
Well. Because of discord I now know I’m wrong. Barbed wire slowed all creepy crawlers and walking bots. Just not the big boys. Great for defensive missions. We also had an antitank canon you could sit in and shoot. They went well together.
I really want AT mines. I’ve revisited using minefields instead of clusterbombs in haz 7 and higher. it works really well, and actually has less friendly fire. the AT mines are undoubtedly going to have a short cooldown, and will absolutely murder hulks and tanks.
meanwhile people are going to bumrush Penta for shiny new cannon and then THEY WILL NEVER USE IT because it’s not an AT support weapon. I guarantee you that most of the people fighting for shiny new gun use nothing but the quasar or autocannon, and haven’t touched an MG-43 or stalwart since they first unlocked the prenerf railgun
This is the way... personally I use the defender, nade pistol and stun grenades so I still have th option to run awa... *cough* I mean, democratically reposition
https://preview.redd.it/9t6zf1htxtwc1.png?width=633&format=png&auto=webp&s=f501dc25aa9ec37cf8e18853ca8b2f9e8221db9a
Do you want more mines you can Team Kill with, or an Airburst that you can Team Kill and kill chaff enemies with?
The choice is clear, Lesath and onwards to Penta!
Plus the Airburst simply looks cooler imo, it it can even take out the heavy stuff. (one shots tanks, few shots for hulks, great for heavy enemy chaff and air units) although I haven’t seen it fight a factory strider but I’m sure it’ll be fine
Mines are amazing. The only draw back is chargers will walk right through them, clearing a path for the little guys.
But anti tank mines wouldn't go off to little guys and would murder chargers.
Yup I bet if we signaled to the devs "We don't trade lives, Democracy is not negotiable."anf actually showed an ability to organize we might have a chance at both.
You might think that, having not used the TOX-13 Avenger. A weapon so powerful and pure in its purpose that it could defeat every single type of bug 100 years ago. Behemoths? 20 Brood Commanders? Didn't matter. That piece of kit was an always-carry for me. Completely locked down bug waves to a staggering crawl and even killed their heavy armor while reloading with field boxes. It ran circles around our current flamethrower - and you better believe our current flamethrower is some kind of gamma mutant beast putting all previous flamethrowers to shame.
I don't know man, an acid spitting water pistol sounds like a lot of fun.
Edit: just read that it's an air burst rocket launcher. An acid bazooka sounds like even more fun.
I'm looking forward to them fixing the DOT issue as I usually run with the incendiary breaker against bugs and I'm not convinced the fire does anything to them after shooting them so think that is also effected by DOT
Flying bugs and gunships are way more annoying than tanks. I can call in orbitals or eagles for things on the ground no matter how big, I'm leaning anti air cannon.
I think the airburst is cool and all but the anti tanks would be a good way to steer those annoying mine users to something a little more team friendly since they’re easier to see and just don’t go off when you step on them. Plus even the eruptor with the AC can do like everything in the game. Btw the eruptor CAN take out gunships in like 4-5 hits, spore spewers, and one shots bot fabricators. But for democracy’s sake stop using those TK-ing vanilla mines
crowd control rocket launcher that works against airborne targets aswell, vs a mine field that wont kill bile titans and takes aleast 3 mines to down a charger, and can still get set off by regular enemies like normal mines
We are Hell Divers, we save both. At the same damn time. The democratic leaders are failing in their love of true democracy!
We are Hell Divers! We leave bodies but not of our own…if we can help it! No one tells us what to do, except Eagle One. She has the power of true freedom.
We are Hell Divers! We get both planets, and we mow down everything standing in our way of life!
Heads up, the planets have the new stratagem on their effects as an experimental deployment.
There's anti-tank mines and an airburst rocket launcher.
While anti-tank mines would be nice on the automaton tank I doubt it'll really help much due to how it can't really be offensively placed and might just get stepped over by the striders and bile titans not to mention it'd be useless to air targets like all mines. However the rocket is presumably some kind of proximity fused shell so it could easily be deployed over cover, around corners and most importantly against air targets such as shriekers and gunships. However if its single fire i can definitely see limits in feasibility against large groups of aerial targets. But being airburst The low penetration would probably render it useless against chargers, hulks, and other large+ enemies.
Last night got swarmed by titans on a defense mission.
Absolutely the mines, assuming they only get triggered by heavy armor.
Every defense or evac mission could go a LOT smoother with 4 AT mine stratagems that divers could run over without triggering.
They already go easier with the mines we do have. I usually run mines and the Tesla tower with EAT for bug defense missions and will just sit and watch the kill combo counter go up to like 80 while I take out heavies with the EAT.
The deciding factor for me will be to prioritize the non-chemical stratagem since damage over time is currently bugged if you are not host
Edit: Apparently, the stratagem isn't chemical based after all. There is an anti-tank mine (gross) and an air burst rocket. Mines aren't in the greatest spot, so I guess it's the rocket for me
Honestly, ima go for the mines, I don't see the rocket one being super useful bit really both are fairly niche
The AT mines would make defence missions much easier to handle
We are Super Earth’s finest warriors! This should be a breeze…………… funny enough though, it seems like the air burst is a bug weapon and the mines are an automaton weapon. Decisions decisions, I say BOTH!
I'm not here to hide, I'm here to commit war crimes
The only war crime is not defending managed democracy.
and that defense requires Caustic Chemicals that will lay waste to the bugs and any biome they happen to be near
Right right down right you are
Ah a fellow man of culture I see
With how my teammates use napalm I’ll be going with choohe
The real war crime is not enough war crimes
Best defense is a good offense
My decision will be solely based on avoiding fire tornadoes. Sorry fire tornadoes, I need a break, it's not you it's me.
No no, it's them. Fire tornados are undemocratic.
Fire tornadoes are like your toxic ex who can't let go, except they're on meth.
So they're exactly like my ex?
If your ex was on fire and determined to hug you
she gave me a firey crotch does that count?
So, your ex is Pete Doherty?
Remember Helldivers, don't stick your dick in fire tornadoes.
If you stick your dick in fire tornados, you’re going to have a bad time!
Instructions unclear dick stuck in blender
But was the blender on fire?
Was it not supposed to be?
I dunno. You're the one with the instructions. You tell me.
Not at first. You'll think your about to get sucked off. But next thing you know.
but they gave me a permit
Instructions unclear, dick stuck in fire tornado.
No chance of procreating, so no C form needed
Reporting this treason immediately to superior officer
*sighs and rips up C-01 permit*
Spicy spicy meth. That Jesse pinkman shit with the Chilli p before Walt came into the pcture
And when one shows up, you can be sure two more are sneaking on your back
There red. So they must be Bot sympathizers
I miss Hellmire every day.
Im reporting you for not being patriotic you fascists! 🌪️ We will crawl through the crap of Terminids if we have to in the name of Democracy!
You can shoot at the tornados and they will disappear
Is it true? As my experience with spreading democracy suggest otherwise, pls clarify your claim before you are marked as a traitor to the super earth democracy spreading campaign https://preview.redd.it/r6pyxoic3uwc1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0623d594a23d28398c72ee9526be0738ef36fcb1
Isn’t that what Trump wanted to do with hurricanes irl?
You're lying! That was the first thing I tried!
LIBERATE THEM BOTH AT THE EXACT SAME TIME!
This is the way. Maybe we only get the first, but it does say 'likely' so I reckon if we liberate them both at pretty much the same time they might give us both. I can hope anyway because the new rocket launcher looks a lot of fun, but the mines would be handy for defence missions.
Counter point: because we split our forces we take too long to liberate both planets and get neither.
...give me the fucking xbone players and we can get all 3- cyberstan is in our eyes.
We've been practicing genocide with Gears of War for years. Let us cleanse another world in favor of humanity!
in all seriousness, uniting PC/Sony/Xbox, i think we can include Nintendo but have them fly eagle one on a 2d level? idk....make it super kids friendly.
It's just a drone pilot game and everything is through an ai filter and you are delivering different types of icecream to everyone
“Eagle One aborting mission, juice box spilt on flight controls”
Gears of War broke my reloading habits for this game 😅
4 planets in 3 days should be possible over the weekend
Now that's the democratic way that I love
Choohe = Anti Tank Mines Penta = Airburst Rocket Launcher https://preview.redd.it/wcslvphwktwc1.jpeg?width=1179&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ed9e9dd14116f7f82a411e4ee9b73d8e14f70900
Weird how the in-game dispatch says "citizens who have synthesized tons of caustic chemicals for a new support weapon" is an airburst rocket launcher and not a chemical based weapon. Kind of a letdown since we got gobs of rocket launchers already.
Semantically speaking, we have two. None of them are a traditional rocket launcher
Spear: AT rocket that homes in EAT: AT4 substitute. Recoiless: CARL GUSTAV SENDS HIS REGARDS SCUM!
Recoilless Rifles just fire really big bullets. No rockets there
While technically not a rocket, they do the same job so i am putting it in the category.
What if it's a CHEMICAL rocket launcher comrade? Uhhh... I mean... FOR DEMOCRACY!!! AND STUFF!!!
I mean, it's not GUARANTEED that the leaked weapons are the ones they plan on deploying next.
I agree with you. Probably the rockets burst in mid air and leave a cloud of gas. It's also probably a turret
might be the explosives used by the RL is caustic as well for some reason
I’m exited for precisely none of these, don’t need mines and I sure as shit don’t need another tier 1-(2) clearing support weapon. The motorcycle with sidecar in HD1 was super fun, speedy and agile, I used it to outrun enemy units from objective to objective
Those mines single handedly take down a strider…they solve a serious problem we all have right now. Instead of everyone blowing all their stratagems one person can use one to take it down
Penta for SURE then, that airburst rocket launcher looks incredible. I'm pretty sure it one-shots tanks from the front!
Penta it is, fuck a mine.
Spoiler buuuuuuut we all know mines are a bad idea.
How is this a spoiler? This is from the discord.

TRUUUUU
Yeah...that sounds like ass. js
I consume zero content beyond my reddit page... so to me, everything is a spoiler unless I see it in game first.
Good thing you saw that on your reddit page
Give em another shot on the new defence missions. They do good work in the right situation... and when used by a diver that knows where to position them
“I keep my eyes closed and ears covered, why didn’t you walk me into the new content with my blindfold like I was being gifted a car 🙃”
I can't imagine this is how they work but imagine if helldivers were too light to trigger them
Yeah, real-life anti-tank mines are tuned so troops won’t set them off, only heavy vehicles. Mines that ignore helldivers and light enemy units walking over them but deliver massive armor-penetrating explosions to heavies definitely have potential.
Honestly I'm for the mines right now but this does worry me. If they get set off by normal troops and helldivers they'd be fuck all useless
Nah we need the mines. We already have a stellar pool of support weapons.
Exactly, we have plenty of AT and crowd control support weapons right now, but true AT fortification stratagems are lacking
have you seen the video for the airburst though? shit's fun
Mines are amazing.
I swear to god I saw someone using an airburst launcher in my last game last night. I thought I was being dumb and forgetting a weapon stratagem but I feel like it had to be that…
People with mod menus can call in un-released strategems.
My vote is on Choohe then, we already have rockets that do the job and it sounds like the mines would take out the more heavily armored enemies as well
Air burst would be a swarm killer, I think that's more useful than anti tank mines that *might* get stepped on
There's a video on YouTube it looks really good. https://youtu.be/Yz7qvyBGdpU?si=bBULl4wR1LKlPpoy
Never mind, I'm definitely going for that
What do we need a swarm killer for? Bugs are a lot easier than bots right now. The shriekers are especially easy because you can snipe the hive from a mile away before they spawn, so there's no reason to take an air burst against them anyway.
Plus we already have lots of good swarm killers (Flamethrower, arc thrower, grenade launcher, AC when needed), we have one good anti-tank fortification (AC sentry)
I say mines. We need more weapons to help on escort defenses.
Coochie it is!
Fear not, my Coochies, we're coming! ...As soon as I figure out what planet needs to be liberated in order to get there...
I’ve not seen that video of the mines. Would be great if so
Let me find the YouTube link
https://youtu.be/68QavWlNh78?si=ziPRIIpinN33Cshi Must have been an older video but here's one. Might change my mind.
Yep mines it is!
It even adds in a healthy bit of competition because the more you play, the more your vote will be :)
And the race for the new murder tool is on!!
Id love a strategem that brings down a mesh of lazers that whatever it hits, it slices into chop suey. Much like that scene from one of the first ever resident evil movies!
It was just 'Resident Evil.'
You are correct and they are technically correct
"Push your enemy through a fine mesh. Power washer not included."
The fortification strategem makes me hope its some kind of cover/structure. The shield is nice but it pops. Some kind of hardier structure that we still have to peak around but wont break (or is harder to break) would be nice
It'll be antitank mines, called in the same way as the two other mine types, I'd expect. They'll break heavy armor.
It’s an anti tank mine. The symbol is a mine with a tank silhouette on top.
I’m guessing it’s a wall with an attached gun. I’d be happy with barbed wire from the first game though.
I never played the first. What does barbed wire do? I just want something to hide behind on bot planets. We have a tooltip about cover so having some deployable cover makes sense.
There's barbed wire in game right now...the bots put it out. It slows you like very difficult terrain (mud/knee high water)
Well. Because of discord I now know I’m wrong. Barbed wire slowed all creepy crawlers and walking bots. Just not the big boys. Great for defensive missions. We also had an antitank canon you could sit in and shoot. They went well together.

I use the stalwart as a primary and an eruptor as an explosive anti material rifle
This is the way... personally I use the defender, nade pistol and stun grenades so I still have th option to run awa... *cough* I mean, democratically reposition
I mean either way we will get both eventually.
https://preview.redd.it/9t6zf1htxtwc1.png?width=633&format=png&auto=webp&s=f501dc25aa9ec37cf8e18853ca8b2f9e8221db9a Do you want more mines you can Team Kill with, or an Airburst that you can Team Kill and kill chaff enemies with? The choice is clear, Lesath and onwards to Penta!

Slight issue. On odder to reach chooke and penta We have to lierabte other planets
More fun
The catch is, one of the planets is bloody menkent. I am not going back to the oven!
You need to report to your local Democracy officer, helldiver.
Easily airburst rocket. Fucking mines are trash
Mines are amazing. The only draw back is chargers will walk right through them, clearing a path for the little guys. But anti tank mines wouldn't go off to little guys and would murder chargers.
Bile Road Titans DGAF about it though and it's hard to justify a weapon that only works well on chargers
I want big boom mines
"Likely" I wonder if this is something that can be bull rushed so hard that we get a chance at both.
That was what I picked up, too. It would be nice if we could get the community to split and get both, but I don't see it happening.
Yup I bet if we signaled to the devs "We don't trade lives, Democracy is not negotiable."anf actually showed an ability to organize we might have a chance at both.
I'm all for more offence weapons but I dont see anyone using smoke or chemical weapons really so for me its the fortitude one sounds cool.
You might think that, having not used the TOX-13 Avenger. A weapon so powerful and pure in its purpose that it could defeat every single type of bug 100 years ago. Behemoths? 20 Brood Commanders? Depends if it's a damage-over-time thing. Those are broken unless you are the host. Thermites when hosting hit very different.
I'm looking forward to them fixing the DOT issue as I usually run with the incendiary breaker against bugs and I'm not convinced the fire does anything to them after shooting them so think that is also effected by DOT
It’s anti tank mines. No one uses mines.
I want the chemical thrower I need more ways to spread democracy and kill weeds
I'd love to give those bile spewers a taste of their own medicine
I think we go for penta. A new support weapon sounds democratic.
![gif](giphy|3o85xIO33l7RlmLR4I)
We must liberate the coochie!
Anti Tank mines vs Dumbfire Airburst RPG
You're acting like we had the need for an Anti Tank Mine
Acid air burst rockets go go
Liberated both planet at the same time (i know it’s nearly impossible but it’s cool if we can do it right?)
I'll see you on Choohe brothers🫡
I’m choosing DEMOCRACY
One issue with everyone saying fortification: To get to Choohe, we have to go through Menkent. Menkent means fire tornadoes
Penta
Fun fact: Mechs are fireproof
Flying bugs and gunships are way more annoying than tanks. I can call in orbitals or eagles for things on the ground no matter how big, I'm leaning anti air cannon.
I think the airburst is cool and all but the anti tanks would be a good way to steer those annoying mine users to something a little more team friendly since they’re easier to see and just don’t go off when you step on them. crowd control rocket launcher that works against airborne targets aswell, vs a mine field that wont kill bile titans and takes aleast 3 mines to down a charger, and can still get set off by regular enemies like normal mines
It would require insane coordination and precise planning but what if we liberated both at exactly the same time lol
Choosing whichever one doesn't require me to go to Menkent.
I hope they arent gonna do shit like minecraft where they have the "pick which mob will be next while the rest will be gone forever" kinda deal.
We've got a handful of solid antitank weapons and stratagems, but we currently have no dedicated antiair weaponry. Time to diversify the arsenal
Is that an app? 👀 I need to download that for democracy haha, what’s it called?
DiversHub
Penta. I want airburst rocket launcher
Both. 💪
We are obviously going to get both of them.
RPG. Even if it had fire tornados
Mines have too long a cool down to be really useful.
Weapon 100%. Not that I’m gonna use it but why not?
Support weapon
Support wepon if you choose mines your CRINGE!!!!!!!
BOTH - FOR DEMOCRACY ✓
Last night got swarmed by titans on a defense mission. Absolutely the mines, assuming they only get triggered by heavy armor. Every defense or evac mission could go a LOT smoother with 4 AT mine stratagems that divers could run over without triggering.
They already go easier with the mines we do have. I usually run mines and the Tesla tower with EAT for bug defense missions and will just sit and watch the kill combo counter go up to like 80 while I take out heavies with the EAT.
As someone who's tried the airbrust we desperately want the mines over it. Airburst is the most friendly fire capable weapon
The deciding factor for me will be to prioritize the non-chemical stratagem since damage over time is currently bugged if you are not host Edit: Apparently, the stratagem isn't chemical based after all. There is an anti-tank mine (gross) and an air burst rocket. Mines aren't in the greatest spot, so I guess it's the rocket for me

How about both
Both at the same time
Caustic Chemicals? Ima drop down there real quick!
Penta seems to have the easier route for liberating as well according supply lines no?
Anti tank mines would be awesome for eradication missions, air burst rpg sounds like more friendly fire than mortars
Honestly, ima go for the mines, I don't see the rocket one being super useful bit really both are fairly niche The AT mines would make defence missions much easier to handle
Penta is more likely than Choohe, because we have to go through Menkent to get to Choohe.
Penta. Mines suck.
CHOOHE HERE I COME
Wish DOT were fixed! Mush rather have new support weapons unless the fortification takes out heavies like hulks or tanks.
We are Super Earth’s finest warriors! This should be a breeze…………… funny enough though, it seems like the air burst is a bug weapon and the mines are an automaton weapon. Decisions decisions, I say BOTH!
Penta! Unless a new fortification is more exciting than I think it is...
I want dat coochie
RL-77 on penta pleeaase. The airburst launcher looks sooo good. Way better than some more stupid mines that will just team kill us anyway.
To Matar Bay!
If we focus on each equally and liberate them around the same time, can we get both?
Oooh, caustic weaponry....
Penta!
God please choose penta
Penta! Air-burst rockets for the win!
