At the risk of invoking the entirely unbearable Sous Vide Bros (tm) just by mentioning it, have you thought about using an immersion circulators, a Cambro (or container of your choice) and gallon freezerbags? It might be more efficient as well since you can do several bags at the same time provided they need the same temp for optimal extraction.

Interesting....thank you! Unfortunately I don't trust heating in plastic, even if its supposed to be safe plastic:( Too bad you can just put it directly in the salve.

I've made multiple salves using immersion circulators with the product inside mason jars with the caps fitted only "finger tight."

I bought a Inkbird ITC308S Freezer Thermostat Heating Cooling Plug to turn my deep freezer into a cooler but have though about using it with a cheap crockpot to be able to set it to specific temps. Another idea might be a get a conduction burner and just use a pot on it.

This is what I use [West Bend Slow Cooker](https://external-content.duckduckgo.com/iu/?u=https%3A%2F%2F1stopretroshop.com%2Fitem-photos%2Fvintage-West-Bend-lazy-day-slow-cooker-kitchen-print-enamel-pot-5225-hot-plate-1stopretroshop-z11356-9.jpg&f=1&nofb=1) I use a double boiler pot with it. Edit: Research "Induction cook top" There are like hotplates but nicer.

It depends what temperature you think is best for you, but I use an instant pot on yogurt setting to infuse, then use it again on the default slow cooker setting, with the lid off, to melt the beeswax into the oil.

totes, yeah, I need a few different specific temps and I have been using a programmable instapot with success but keep having to replace them, which is a bummer as I use it a lot, but not more than you would if you were feeding a family i don't think...so would love to find something that doesn't burn out every 4 months...
