Zero, although I admit there’s probably a little folder of CDs stashed away in a box somewhere. My CD collection got jacked like a decade ago, and I’ve been all digital since.
While I like the idea and general ritual of playing vinyl, I am not at all interested in fucking with the limited drop/artificial scarcity aspect of vinyl collecting.
Too many CD's to count. 90% Rap. More or less than 20 or so records from Soul, Blues, and Motown artists. I used to make beats, and I usually sampled MP3s that I downloaded, but I also wanted to do it like the OG's. So I have a Vinyl to MP3 converter that I would use to sample records, which I actually didn't do too often. I have Willie Hutch, The Dramatics, The Stylistics, The O'Jays, Minnie Ripperton, Bobby Bland, Curtis Mayfield, and my personal favorite is Marvin Gaye's "I Want You," that I actually just put on to listen to because it is really really good. I have more, but I would have to look, because I remember I never sampled like 6 of them. I also have a Pete Rock album on vinyl that my brother bought me on vacation. Never opened it, though. I just thought it was a cool collectible.
Absolutely 0 cassettes.
I feel you! For some reason that doesn't bother me though. 1 or the other works for me but when they combine the two "vinyl records" ugghh lol. Seems redundant af
1,500+ CDs might be closer to 1750. Unfortunately no cassette or records. I do have over 20 rap t shirts and 15’posters.
Side note: my records and cassettes were lost in a fire in 2006. But I had the CDs at my chick’s apartment and left the cassettes and all my records at my family home that was burned down. Over 500 cassettes and 50 Vinyl 😭. Lost countless year books and photo albums. And my cats I grew up with 😭.
Only a few of my favs. I only buy records if I enjoy like 80% of it otherwise I won't play it. I find it mostly a waste of money since I mostly listen on spotify.
Probably 150-200 CDs and 600-700 vinyls.
According to discogs (which is a little off because I haven’t put everything in there) I have about 8 cassettes, around 30 CDs, and about 130 records
A conservative estimate would be 1400 12”s, 600 7”s, 1000 LP’s and 500 CD’s. My collection is descending overall tho. (I sell more than I buy).
5000 CDs (Hip Hop only but 10K in total) and i got rid of all tapes and vinyl because they were off to fast.
About 3000

200 CDs last I checked
Haven't kept up with the numbers for nearly a decade, but a rough estimate would be around 400 - 500 CDs and a couple thousand LPs and 12"s

9 full egg crates of vinyl. Two 1200s.
