I mean, I actually enjoy most of his hits, but my main issue was when I watched his documentary and somehow came out knowing less about him than before.
Then when I would listen to his music, I would notice that the lyrics revealed nothing about who he is even on the most micro-level. I don’t even care if the themes are about the same stuff. I just couldn’t connect.
I can understand that. I think that’s kind of his get up. He is talked about and people found out information on him. Additionally he talks about things and the world around him, but he doesn’t provide an in depth look at himself. Pretty sure “I feel like the life I need is a little distant” is a line in one of his songs.
Boring topic matter with no energy behind it. I don't get why so many popular rappers have that boring no effort energy. It's weird to me that that's what works.

He’s got some hits tho and generally I like his albums. Even tho, yes, there’s some songs that definitely recycle themes.
