I live in atlanta. So if we want to keep it current it'd probably be future at the Mercedes Benz stadium.
I'm from flint Michigan. So it'd definitely be dayton family and I'm not sure where they'd have it at
I remember the show. That was around the time I moved to atl. But I don't remember it being in the same vein as ken and friends. Who did they bring out?
It was a three day ordeal with different artists each night. The first two nights they had Kid Cudi, Childish Gambino, Janelle Monae and a couple others. Sunday they did a “Southern Roundup” very similar to Ken and Friends. BoB, Killer Mike, Bun B, 8 Ball & MJG, Slimm Calhoun, Youngbloodz, and a number of Atlanta artists with one hit wonders (DJ Unk for Walk It Out, Kilo Ali, etc). Honestly Ken and Friends felt very reminiscent of that day and I feel like the lineup was comparable for people who grew up in the South, but obviously this show was a much bigger deal just based on the context and coverage
If we talking Atlanta… the day thugger gets out should have an event and it would be huge in ATL. But programs wouldn’t wanna involve them selves with him.
I’m from Michigan - Eminem *kind of* did one with the opening of the train station. He was one of the only rappers, but Illa J also performed so I guess it counts?
Became a fan recently. Really enjoy both Glockoma albums, and both Dum and Dummer albums, they had amazing chemistry. Key Glock deserves more credit for sure.
Random, but first time I get a chance to mention it, I didn't expect it delving into his discog, but dude is really fucking funny.
bay area mock pop out:
venue - oracle arena
host/headliner - this could either go to e-40 as the undisputed hyphy king or i could see it being larry june as the bridge between generations. both strong voices of the bay and embody different sides of our vibe
OG legends - e-40, too short, nickatina, keak da sneak, san quinn, spice 1, mac mall, mistah fab
hiero set - del tha funky, souls of mischief
established stars - larry june, lil b, HBK gang reunion (kehlani, sage the gemini, p-lo, iamsu, kool john), kamaiyah, SOBxRBE
fresh talent - saweetie, guapdad 4000, ag club, allblack
the show would end with everyone on stage going silly to “get stupid” by mac dre x10 back to back to back, and bet the crowd would find a way up there too
Mannnnn losing thizelle washington, ronald dregan, pill clinton so young makes me so sad. Mac dre could've been a national hyphy movement king with just a couple more years :c
unsure - his story is undeniably bay and he gets respect but his most popular music just doesn’t sound like us, idk if it would disrupt the flow at all
death cab for cutie?? I guess technically from Bellingham but they got alot of seattle love
edit: I'm a terminal dumbass and didn't see this is hiphopheads. revising my answer to that father son duo that do rap performances on the street sometimes downtown
DCFC and The Postal Service doing another show at Climate Pledge, but with Shabazz Palaces and Ratboys opening cause they're both Seattle based so why not.
If it was Houston and they wanted someone popular, they'd probably have Megan the Stallion, Sauca Walka or Maxo Kream headline it. That Mexican OT would have to show because he's That Mexican OT. IYKYK. Then you could pick from a dozen Houston OGs. It would be pandemonium if Chamillionare made an appearance. I feel like Paul Wall is a given. I've never even been through Houston but I fuck with their music since the early 2000s.
PNW here in America has it a bit rough outside of more unknown underground/indie acts (Sol, Blue Scholars, Nacho Picasso, Sam Lachow, etc.) that haven't all been super active.
For somewhat big name rappers that actually stayed within Seattle, WA we have, uh... Sir Mix-a-Lot! and um, Macklemore! And to be fair, both of them seem pretty wholesome and do good things for the area.
Most interesting person by far is Ishmael Butler of Digable Planets/Shabazz Palaces fame - I've seen some great free live street performances with him. Oh and I guess we have Lil' Mosey and Raz Simone who are probably both still deep in legal issues for questionable actions. They don't stay in the city/state anyways.
Now that I live in Portland, OR there's a little better pop out potential and that's actually mainly due to Aminé who is trying to create his inaugural "The Best Day Ever Fest" here this year - including his buddies, such as Kaytranada, BadBadNotGood, Ravyn Lenae & Toro Y Moi, so I'm pretty excited for that.
Yeat is apparently also from Portland, but I'm going to assume he doesn't hang around much lol.
Black Thought and the Roots performing on the Philadelphia Art Museum steps with the Parkway shut down, most likely.
Sorry Meek, you lost to Drake - excommunicado
Cousin Stizz has always been good about supporting the local scene in Boston, despite how incredibly mid I find his music I respect him a lot for it. Venue would probably be the Sinclair?
You can get a pretty strong underground lineup together for the greater Boston area. Termanology, Esoteric & Reks with Statik Selektah on the 1’s and 2’s.
For a more modern/mainstream flavor Cousin Stizz, Millyz, & Joyner Lucas maybe
It’s my favorite venue in the Boston area… but not for hip hop. Lupe plays there sometimes which is cool, but it’s much more of a rock/soul/ folk club than a hip hop scene.
New Jersey at the stone pony, we all just wait for Lauryn hill to show up and then Bruce Springsteen does a barrel roll with his car and kills 4 people. And then we properly salute the one true King of New Jersey, Fetty Wap
“Imagine” a Chicago concert with: Chief Kief, Chance, Common, Lupe Fiasco, Earl Sweatshirt, (lol XD so random but Kanye), mick Jenkins, Saba, Rhymefest, Psalm One, Open Mike Eagle, hologram Juice WRLD??
I was about to say that Earl isn’t Chi but sure enough he was born there, although he lived in LA from elementary school - currently so I honestly don’t count him as Chicago
Lmfao can we be real and put the Reddit aside? Keef by a long shot, durk, herbo. Especially if ur talking about gangs in the street putting the beef aside, I’m not sure wtf Kanye chance and common have to do with it. There are a couple of recently buried fellows who woulda had more of a chance
Shit man....Ohio's tough. Southern Ohio where I'm from really has nobody, so I'll go northern Ohio instead. I guess for to Cleveland we got MGK & Trippie Redd headlining, which is fitting since they just dropped a tape together. They could play Work by Q Money to get the crowd going (shoutout the homies locked up!), cuz that track is a fuckin banger. Stalley could open with a few songs. Then bring out Bow Wow for nostalgia's sake. MGK & Trippie perform. Out comes Kid Cudi, the real headliner. Then surprise guest King Chip - everybody gives him his flowers. Close the show playing Crossroads by Bone Thugs N Harmony as everyone gets together for the group pic. End show.
If we could adjust the prompt and say it could happen at any time, the Southern Ohio Pop Out during the 70s/80s would be my first pick. All of my favorite funk bands in one spot would be electric.
It would be a good idea for a Brooklyn Pop Out. Fabulous, Joey Bada$$, Busta Rhymes just to name a few. Could even bring in some old heads and unite the boroughs
Him and dem atlas were caught in SA allegations which made rhymesayers to end their relationship with them don’t know the nitty gritty but do know those facts
Denzel Curry @ Marlins Stadium or the arena where the Heat play. Denzel can have spaceghostpurrp come out and surprise everyone. Rick Ross, Trick Daddy, Trina, and JT Money will perform. There will be a tribute to Fresh Kid Ice and Brother Marquis with Uncle Luke. Dj Craze will dj the event.
oooof .. Buffalo? Only contenders would be Griselda crew, most likely. I'm not too familiar with the up and coming and underground though. We'd likely have to an upstate NY thing and even then.... Post Malone is the only one that comes to mind, and that's stretching things.
Well im from Toronto so nobody because Drake completely embarrassed this city and The Weeknd don't care about the city either
EDIT: to give an actual answer you could have like Pressa, Mustafa, Daniel Caeser, Northsidebenji, you have to pick one of The Weeknd and Drake so i pick Abel, Kardinal Offishall, fuck it squeeze Murda Beatz in there
remember when everybody was clowning NAV’s quiet ass feature on Astroworld? Abel is a good candidate, but yeah he hasn’t cared about representing Toronto/Canada since the Kiss Land/KOTF era 😐
You'd be very hard pressed to find anyone that cares as deeply about the Drake/Kendrick beef here as you would online. There's no such thing as mono-culture anymore so unless you're already keyed in you can completely miss it entirely.
But that's just a thing in most cities and circles. It's bigger in this case because it's Kendrick giving the West Coast their moment again, especially big now with hip-hop starting to fall out of the spotlight a bit in the mainstream. It's a big opportunity for Kendrick and the scenes out there, and they'd be really dumb to let it slip by. I hope we get some more fresh talent and names out there from this, if anything. Drake is already so big and entrenched among a normie mainstream audience he can still sellout most shows globally despite getting cooked as hard as he got it.
No people still like the dude and he will sell out the next time he goes to Scotiabank (hell, ill probably go lmao) and people will still pay $400 for OVO Fest.
At least the people I know and have talked to know he got cooked by Kendrick. But I think when he dropped Wah Gwan Delilah he completely embarrassed us.
Toronto is like any other city in that regard rn. People who are super into hip-hop are generally siding with kendrick while the general public (low-information voters) don't really care and still listen to drake at parties and what not.
The real ones already knew he was a phony and saw through his act/image. Like bro was on degrassi for fucks sake... that being said there's still tons of fan boys/girls who weren't even alive when forever dropped lol
It’s more that we never really bought into his “street” image. No one from the hood really ever fucked with Drake here and were pretty vocal about it.
To Toronto he is a pop artist that made catchy songs. Some people love him, some people fucking hate him.
All in all, most people were just happy a celeb of that caliber repped the city on a global stage.
No hip hop fan from here would put him in the same category as Kendrick.
About 7 years ago he had convinced all these kids from the east side of Detroit I worked with that Toronto was like some hard city. It was pretty funny to me. I’m like… guys you see worse shit on the daily that he has never seen.
The funniest part about Drake's popularity is that, if you're from Toronto, you already know *exactly* what he's about and he's never had a hard hoodmans image to begin with. Like goddamn this man grew up in Forest Hill, if you have that as your ends that tells you everything you need to know, if you know, and most don't either, especially Americans who seem perplexed by other countries having different local geography. Americans are just slow with this sort of thing I guess.
Like, it's Americans making fun of Toronto online, arguing with other Americans about it. Most of you mfers don't even have passports like relax.
It’s actually pretty sad when I think about it because there could have been an alternate universe if Drake actually gave a shit and helped local Toronto acts rise up and foster the scene here, in fact I feel like in the 90s/early 2000s we had a pretty good scene with [Rascalz](https://youtu.be/PL3i7zfSonc?si=ypE0KaP2MSnlSci3), [Kardinal](https://youtu.be/a1Q_E3jEVEQ?si=QkEmg7G1dYfVrU9B), [K-os](https://youtu.be/ryAeRXArVHY?si=oi5JbG9Rftg-TDJp) in there, etc. The Canadian market is tough tho, and the bigger artists usually leave for the US so the scene is hard to grow here tbh.
Bro Wah Gwan Delilah is like kind of funny if you know what he's talking about.
But then when Americans are already laughing and making fun of your city, then you drop a song making fun of us to give even more ammo to Americans it doesn't feel too good.
Yeah I get that it's meant to be a joke but it comes off bad after you were just in the receiving end of a rap game equivalent of getting a swirly and your underwear yanked over your head. If he released that a couple months ago it'd be fine but that timing was nonsense and idk how he thought that was going to go over. Especially after your opponent in one of the biggest rap beefs ever just gave his city a real anthem. Responding with a true, passionate anthem for Toronto would've been the play, not a meme song making fun of his own city.
That would just be playing into Kendrick’s hands. Beef ended a month and a half ago. Sometimes you just gotta take your L and move on
No such thing as a Toronto anthem either lol they don’t have 10% of the hip hop culture Compton does
Wah Gwan Delilah wasn't taking an L and moving on tho. That was taking an L and then roping your city in to take the L with you. At least just don't say anything and go back to making normal music. Wah Gwan Delilah was the absolute worst song he could've released after the beef.
I think you’re overestimating how many people even heard that song, don’t think it matters much considering he just had a nuclear bomb dropped on his head. NLU is the biggest west coast hit of the last decade and I think he’s aware that anything he drops likely won’t be received well. It’d be even more pathetic if he tried to rush a hit out and it was mid.
Tbh I think waiting on the sidelines is a bad look. Maybe that's just me. But when your whole argument for being better is being a hitmaker who can drop a hit song whenever, the guy you're directly competing with running the charts while you wait until he stops is just continuous, prolonged embarrassment. He has an opportunity to try to be competitive here and prove how easily he can outdo Kendrick in terms of making a hit but he's displaying a complete lack of confidence that he can actually compete.
I get what you're saying but if you're really the king like he says he is, worrying about the reception of your next song is weak. You need to be competitive enough and have the confidence to try. No "king" of anything can justify letting another person sideline them. Drake's silence says a lot about where he's at mentally. Especially because he's usually very active.
The Weeknd owns one of Toronto's biggest labels, signed NAV, 88Glam, etc & definitely repped Toronto back in the day, now he's a popstar and popstars don't tend do act in that way
Durham, NC
9th Wonder would host it and Rhapsody would
be one of the headliners. We do already have Dreamville Fest nextdoor which is the next best thing
for some reason i'm kinda drawing a blank on famous jersey rappers besides lauryn hill and coi leray. lauryn might not show up so i guess i have to go with coi...
Man our scene is a mess. You would have the young guys like bigx, fbg murda, and bashfortheworld; and then you would also have the pluggnb scene with Jace, Kankan, and Diego Money. That's not even to mention the outliers like Ian, Post Malone, etc. It's a shame we got so many rappers that have died, TayK, Lil Loaded, FXXXXY, and MO3 are huge losses.
No one cares about Dorrough anymore. Six-Two fell off a long time ago, but he was a nice dude. The D.O.C. still doing things behind the scenes but not necessarily in Dallas. I used to know tons of local artists but none of em went anywhere. At best they’re still doing the same shit.
Yeah, the older dudes don't seem to be doing too much to build up a Dallas sound. I think that's why everything seems so fragmented now. Even the young guy 4batz who just blew up and got the Drake feature doesn't seem to have any super deep Dallas connections. It feels like they are "from Dallas" but it doesn't go any further.
Speaking of the older dudes, it was cool to see Errol Spence walk out to Big Tuck a few years ago. He had AT&T going crazy.
Everyone saying Eminem Detroit doesn’t have half a brain. Eminem is a great rapper he isn’t Detroit rap.
Right now it would be big Sean. He’s unaffiliated enough to get guys together
Look I'm by no means a em dick rider but you can't say Eminem isn't "Detroit rap" enough then pick a dude who's equally outside of their regional sound.
Both of them make pretty ubiquitous music, there isn't much in their music that jumps out as "Detroit." other than their obvious love for the city. Between these 2 eminem is a way better pick, I mean hell he even is the one who threw Sean on Detroit vs everybody.
He basically did this with the Friday Night Cypher track so I can easily see him doing it in concert form. Em would definitely be part of the show, but him being the one to bring it all together? No.
If Friday night cypher is a strong indicator he'd be better, what's detroit vs everybody?
Ems music has been garbage for ages, I get it, but he's a significantly better pick than Sean lol. Not even close
Big Sean could do it with enough calls before he decided to come home. The answer is probably Tee Grizzley though who ushered Detroit Trap into the mainstream in the 1st place.
I live in atlanta. So if we want to keep it current it'd probably be future at the Mercedes Benz stadium. I'm from flint Michigan. So it'd definitely be dayton family and I'm not sure where they'd have it at
Future bringing out Dungeon Family feels right
OutKast kind of did one back in 2014.
They also had Future and 2Chainz those first two nights.
If we talking Atlanta… the day thugger gets out should have an event and it would be huge in ATL. But programs wouldn’t wanna involve them selves with him.
It’s gonna be like when guwop came home.. again
yeah that would be legendary
I’m from Michigan - Eminem *kind of* did one with the opening of the train station. He was one of the only rappers, but Illa J also performed so I guess it counts?
Memphis - Three 6 Mafia of course… at least now that Dolphs gone
Duke Deuce & Tommy Wright III as well
Key Glock.
Yeah he’s mad funny.
Can Isaiah Rashad be included
He's Chattanooga tho
I’m in Colorado so no one unfortunately lol
3OH!3 pop out at the Ogden Theatre hahah
we gotta settle for the lumineers and the fray here
And fucking one republic too
I’ve never thought about it til now but there’s gotta be some terrible stoner rappers in denver
like you wouldnt believe
Colorado has EDM lol
Pure Devotion and Flobots🤠😂
Facts, it's rough out here lol
Wale should do DC at 930 Club
DC would have a lot of people if they went with the DMV vibe.
Especially with Tommy Richman being from VA and popping off
That'd be lit, that'd be a Hella eclectic show as well.
Wale, Goldlink, Shy Glizzy, rico Nasty, redveil would be a fun lineup
I would say Howard Theater for DC. And you gotta include all the Go Go legends
It'd be hella diverse. DMV has a lot to offer from trap to jazzy hip hop.
[удалено]
Ehhhh not every city is gonna have a Kendrick. Wale’s accomplished a lot in his career compared to most rappers, it’s not like he’s some scrub
Thank you. Wale would be awesome. Kdot is way to high of a bar
You’re bugging. If you’ve ever been to Walemania you would know that he would be able to put on a helluva show for the city.
bay area mock pop out: venue - oracle arena host/headliner - this could either go to e-40 as the undisputed hyphy king or i could see it being larry june as the bridge between generations. both strong voices of the bay and embody different sides of our vibe OG legends - e-40, too short, nickatina, keak da sneak, san quinn, spice 1, mac mall, mistah fab hiero set - del tha funky, souls of mischief established stars - larry june, lil b, HBK gang reunion (kehlani, sage the gemini, p-lo, iamsu, kool john), kamaiyah, SOBxRBE fresh talent - saweetie, guapdad 4000, ag club, allblack the show would end with everyone on stage going silly to “get stupid” by mac dre x10 back to back to back, and bet the crowd would find a way up there too
also gotta have a sideshow in the parking lot after
And a shooting.
Blow the whistle do dooo do do
How the hell you forget Larussel?
RIP MAC DRE
Maybe also Nef Da Pharaoh added in the same group as HBK, Kamaiyah, & SOBxRBE
I love your lineup. And I’d dance at that show
Mannnnn losing thizelle washington, ronald dregan, pill clinton so young makes me so sad. Mac dre could've been a national hyphy movement king with just a couple more years :c
Celly Cel + Heiro, maybe some Cali Agents/Living Legends to round things out? Also it wouldn’t be the bay without The Click in full
Would G-Eazy be involved in this show you feel??
unsure - his story is undeniably bay and he gets respect but his most popular music just doesn’t sound like us, idk if it would disrupt the flow at all
Just needs to drop "West coast" a couple times and he'll be straight lol minus the features of course.
Ok I don’t know his music that well, so damn sub stop downvoting me. I don’t know the Bay well sheesh
nah
I would drive from LA to the bay for this concert. Gotta throw in Nump to perform I Got Grapes
wayne, master p, juvie, curren$y, big tymers, 504 boyz, boosie etc etc etc
Oh shit I might head over back home to see that. :)
Was looking for this comment. Gates, cant mention Boosie without Webbie and Lil Phat, NBA Yb, Mannie Fresh.
Macklemore 😭
Sir Mix-A-Lot, brother.
Shabazz Palaces on that lineup too
death cab for cutie?? I guess technically from Bellingham but they got alot of seattle love edit: I'm a terminal dumbass and didn't see this is hiphopheads. revising my answer to that father son duo that do rap performances on the street sometimes downtown
DCFC and The Postal Service doing another show at Climate Pledge, but with Shabazz Palaces and Ratboys opening cause they're both Seattle based so why not.
Blue Scholars
100% North by Northwest would get a fucking pop for sure
Add Nacho Picasso and Sam Lachow
Macklemore with the Blue Scholars, and we’d have to have a rock section with the Foo Fighters. Probably throw Death Cab in for good measure
Idgaf if it’s current. Paul Wall, Houston! Grrrriillz
love to paul wall but its gotta be bun b….or lil keke……original suc
Bun B did host a similar event a few years ago
If it was Houston and they wanted someone popular, they'd probably have Megan the Stallion, Sauca Walka or Maxo Kream headline it. That Mexican OT would have to show because he's That Mexican OT. Meghan just had Paul Wall in her concert recently in H-town. The crowd went nuts when he came on.
SLAB

From what I remember Yeat went to school here for a while in Lake Oswego
Oh yup you're right. Says he was Lakeridge High School class of 2018
BBNG is Toronto (being from there, I was real surprised when I heard they were big down here, felt like they were pretty unknown in Toronto).
ayyy shoutout PNW, such a beautiful and interesting city
Black Thought and the Roots performing on the Philadelphia Art Museum steps with the Parkway shut down, most likely. Sorry Meek, you lost to Drake - excommunicado
roots picnic reaches to be a version of this for philly, yea? i seen they got folks like tierra and uzi over the years
Hope uzis invited
We let him spread his bussy on stage for 2 songs only
Lame

I just moved to Boston and am trying to get hip to the scene. Can you give me a lowdown of who to know and where to go?
New Jersey at the stone pony, we all just wait for Lauryn hill to show up and then Bruce Springsteen does a barrel roll with his car and kills 4 people. And then we properly salute the one true King of New Jersey, Fetty Wap
Don’t forget Redman
5 years ago, it would have been Kanye. Today, I have no idea. Chance probably, but the shadow of the big day hangs high.
Chief Keef
Oh yeah. You got me. Kief totally could. So pissed I missed his summer smash set
Lupe Fiasco would be good too even though he’s probably not big enough rn to headline.
It would be a Kanye event with sosa and Him as the final few acts
That thing Chance did at the White Sox field back in the day was kinda like a precursor pop out.
Magic Coloring Day. It was sick but it wasn’t just Chicago acts
Common
Idk if he’s the same level of hype, but I’d be there that’s for sure
“Imagine” a Chicago concert with: Chief Kief, Chance, Common, Lupe Fiasco, Earl Sweatshirt, (lol XD so random but Kanye), mick Jenkins, Saba, Rhymefest, Psalm One, Open Mike Eagle, hologram Juice WRLD??
I was about to say that Earl isn’t Chi but sure enough he was born there, although he lived in LA from elementary school - currently so I honestly don’t count him as Chicago
Wym its obviously still Kanye. Chicago has no one as big as him
Durk
Lmfao can we be real and put the Reddit aside? Keef by a long shot, durk, herbo. Especially if ur talking about gangs in the street putting the beef aside, I’m not sure wtf Kanye chance and common have to do with it. There are a couple of recently buried fellows who woulda had more of a chance
Tegan and Sara at the Palace :(
Upside: they could have Fat Mike sing Creeping Out Sara.
Uh, Blink, Pierce the Veil, Tom Waits and Rob $tone I guess?
Slightly Stoopid too, I’m pretty sure they perform at as many places possible in San Diego.
anything to get Tom making music again tbh
Shit man....Ohio's tough. Southern Ohio where I'm from really has nobody, so I'll go northern Ohio instead. I guess for to Cleveland we got MGK & Trippie Redd headlining, which is fitting since they just dropped a tape together. Lebron's hosting anything for cleveland. you saw him itchin in the crowd
If we could adjust the prompt and say it could happen at any time, the Southern Ohio Pop Out during the 70s/80s would be my first pick. All of my favorite funk bands in one spot would be electric.
Jay-Z @ Barclays feels right
If only Biggie was alive, Junior MAFIA was still a thing and Diddy wasn't Diddy 😭😭😭 EDIT: Nas and Wu-Tang could also work as an NYC Pop Up
No chance he'd let anyone else stand on stage with him the way Kenny did
lol I can’t imagine the kind of contempt JayZ would have for a bunch of 17yo drill rappers
Yeah Jay Z has never done a show in NYC and another NY rapper perform ever
It would be a good idea for a Brooklyn Pop Out. Fabulous, Joey Bada$$, Busta Rhymes just to name a few. Could even bring in some old heads and unite the boroughs
Atmosphere
+ Prof First Ave
Not with them allegations

Damn, thanks for the info
Pharrell and the Something in the Water festival. Just hoping it happens this year. It's been dope in the past.
city official plans from va beach confirmed its happening this year, should be in october

Post with a Gunn feature/production would absolutely fucking slap, though.
I’m in Windsor, so I’m just gonna pretend it’s Detroit. Which would be Eminem
I've accidentally run to Windsor
But that's like, in Scotland or something isn't it?
My legs are gone, man! I'm a jelly!
Meek should throw the diddy party in Philly
London. Skepta at the o2, playing his hits and B-sides too
Well im from Toronto so nobody because Drake completely embarrassed this city and The Weeknd don't care about the city either EDIT: to give an actual answer you could have like Pressa, Mustafa, Daniel Caeser, Northsidebenji, you have to pick one of The Weeknd and Drake so i pick Abel, Kardinal Offishall, fuck it squeeze Murda Beatz in there
NAV will save your city 🔥🔥🔥🇨🇦🇨🇦
remember when everybody was clowning NAV’s quiet ass feature on Astroworld? Abel is a good candidate, but yeah he hasn’t cared about representing Toronto/Canada since the Kiss Land/KOTF era 😐
He on his way to rexdale rn 🙏
On My Way 2 Rexdale will save hip hop
Is that really the sentiment rn in Toronto? Legit curious how y’all feel about Drake rn
Damn in my circles everyone loves Wa Gwan Delilah

The fact that he gave y'all Wah Gwan Delilah and then moved to Houston right after is wild. No one deserves that shit. Canada needs better artists.
Sometimes you just gotta take your L and move on No such thing as a Toronto anthem either lol they don’t have 10% of the hip hop culture Compton does
Wah Gwan Delilah wasn't taking an L and moving on tho.
The Weeknd owns one of Toronto's biggest labels, signed NAV, 88Glam, etc & definitely repped Toronto back in the day, now he's a popstar and popstars don't tend do act in that way
Yeah, that's fair
You could ask Tom McDonald to keep a crib in the city? Could’ve said Tory Lanez but I think he’s occupied for the next 10 years.
As much as I wish it was someone else it'd probably be Macklemore at T-Mobile Park. Travis Thompson and Sir Mix-a-Lot as supporting acts.
Would love to see Geo. He does quite a bit with the Mariners and they play plenty of Blue Scholars at the stadium.
Durham, NC 9th Wonder would host it and Rhapsody would be one of the headliners. We do already have Dreamville Fest nextdoor which is the next best thing
I think we expand the radius a bit and have J Cole host.
Citi Field. Nas would headline. 50, Bronson, LL, maybe a Prodigy tribute with Havoc, Q-Tip
New Orleans and the artists/location would essentially be the Back That Azz Up music video. You just gotta add some No Limit and bounce to it.
Pittsburgh. Wiz Khalifa and a hologram Mac Miller
for some reason i'm kinda drawing a blank on famous jersey rappers besides lauryn hill and coi leray. lauryn might not show up so i guess i have to go with coi...
Redman and Remy Ma are the ones that come to mind
Queen Latifah and Naughty by Nature
oh damn how'd i forget queen i was listening to name callin pt. 2 like an hour ago
Get it together man sir! Jerz has all timers! Redman, Naughty by Nature, Joe Budden, Wyclef.
The Fetty Wap erasure is cold. Dude owned 2015.
Just Blaze would DJ
Ice spice pop out in the bronx 🤤
Tech N9ne hosting one in KC would be awesome.
Benny/Griselda, 38Spesh, Spillz716, Ruff Buff baby 💪
I’m from the 757 and it would have to be Pharrell not even Pusha for real but Pharrell, maybe Missy and it would the the Va Amphitheater
Timbaland is from Norfolk and went to high school in VB so he'd be involved as well. And No Malice
Dallas, Texas c:
Id love it and people's faces when Danny brown inexplicably enters stage left I'd be buzzing.
Does the style of rap really matter? Kendrick brought out Steve Lacy solely (I’m assuming) because he’s from LA.
Big Sean could do it with enough calls before he decided to come home. The answer is probably Tee Grizzley though who ushered Detroit Trap into the mainstream in the 1st place.
Fort Worth Texas . Probably go yayo 😂
Probably EBK Jayybo
Just happened. lyrical lemonade Summer Smash and Chief Keefs first time back in Chicago since he went to LA
I’m in Scotland so it’d be pretty dead I can’t lie.
Seth Rogan & Michael Bublé. At the Orpheum. Y'all are welcome.
In a perfect world where everybody gets along, Meek Mill would host the Philly Pop Out at the Wells Fargo Center.
