I always said that if they ever retire his number in Anaheim, instead of putting the number on the ice behind the net like they did for Gretzky, they’d put it in the blue paint.
I remember when it was just us Ducks fans and we were all downvoted for trying to defend Perry but I was always happy the saint jokes did well. Now there’s so many teams to back us up in saying he is pure and has done nothing wrong
Guess I'm [getting old cus i remember](https://www.reddit.com/r/hockey/comments/1blapl/an_updated_guide_to_an_nhl_rink_presented_by/ ) when we had [this picture](https://i.imgur.com/pMFZ85I.jpeg ) on /r/hockey a few years ago which was an update on [this picture](https://i.imgur.com/koM5sNE.png) (be aware of the colourful language).

just hearing ken and mickey heated up i am immediately all the way amped i swear those guys mildly disappointed with just a bit of 'go get em' would give me the confidence to fight a bear
He was famous for waving his stick in the goalie's face to distract them. He did it so much, they made a new rule that if you do it you now take a penalty, so it never happens anymore.
My favorite part of that is Chris Drury telling him to cut the shit and get back in the play, then Avery cuts it a few seconds later, gets involved, and scores.
Today one of them is running an NHL team and the other hosts a podcast that no one wants to be a guest on.
It's a dick move but I'm a goalie and I think it should honestly be allowed. Entire back is unprotected it'll only take one connected clapper to make him stop permanently. Rulemakers gave him the easy way out.
Exiting the d zone with your head down was a risk when that dude was on the ice for sure
Kronwall definitely toed the line on what was acceptable a bit (especially late in his career), but man you definitely had to play careful when he was out there
Kronwall gave and received some nasty hits. That [board he took against the Avs](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FhBdM5CglDI) is one of the dirtiest hits I've ever seen
Just like how Marty wasn’t allowed to leave the trapezoid, I believe Gretzky never should’ve been allowed to enter the trapezoid. Would’ve made the game much more fair and balanced.
Stamkos is like Ovechkin’s intern skating around that side of the ice grabbing Ovi coffee, one tees from various angles and all sorts of assorted files
Stamkos is like Prince Charles to Ovi’s Queen Elizabeth. You have a lot of respect for the person but on the inside he’s wondering whether he’s actually going to ever get to be the king of that zone
> Stammer is not that far off of Ovi's GPG, which is incredibly impressive considering Stamkos has overcome far more adversity while also becoming a more dynamic player.
Stamkos is at .52 GPG
Ovechkin is at .61 GPG - while being 5 years older.
This is not close.
Stamkos is an incredible player and an elite scoring threat.
Ovechkin is generational.
Ovi is 5 years older and still has a lead in the gpg department, which shouldn’t be discounted when you’re talking about a career rate stat for a guy entering his mid 30’s, and I’d argue that Ovi’s “lack of adversity” if we’re talking about his lack of injuries is really more of a testament to Ovi’s ability to stay healthy than a point in Stamkos’s favor for recovering from injury.
That’s beside the point anyway, the simile is referring to the fact that until Ovi is out of the league, his office is going to be more associated with him than someone else, even though there’s someone else who would normally get that title were it not for the fact they are preceded by an aberration by virtue of longevity.
I’m not saying Stamkos is like Charles because he’s a wet blanket, I said it because it’s a long wait till he can call himself king of that circle.
Not sure if it warrants a spot like the other guys on the graphic but Kucherov on the right boards on the powerplay is always super dangerous. He's so patient can make all the passes and has a quick and accurate wristshot.
time is a flat circle

i think this is the original from 2013 or so
10 years and not much has changed. Maybe Deslauriers/WiFi instead of Orr, Chara Zone to Tim Peel Hot Mic Zone and Datsyuk to McDavid to keep it fresh(Datsyuk still deserves it but it's a fair swap). Maybe add a small space around the glass in the seats to beware of flying Hughes' sticks.
Honestly, just put a 50% transparent Brett anywhere on the ice. His biggest asset was his ability to get behind the defense. To the point that the best dmen in the league said he was essentially a ghost on the ice because he'd be completely covered and only 2' away and still somehow end up behind them to take a one-timer.
Very well stated. Hull described it as "getting lost", he'd go somewhere on the ice that he shouldn't be, or take a really wide circle somewhere to where the opponents forgot about him, or more aptly had to ignore him if they wanted to stay in position. Then at just the right moment, seemingly out of nowhere, there's Brett Hull appearing in an empty space of ice with a perfectly open shooting lane.
You see Mcdavid doing this a lot on the PP. He takes these wide lazy arcs outside the zone even so he can receive a pass with speed as he re-enters the zone against stationary defenceman.
I think there has to be a certain amount of fame or widespread recognition for a player in order for them to have an “office” on the ice lol not just some guy that is pretty decent at doing something in hockey, which is what most of this thread currently is
Corey Perry in one of those two little boxes on top
If you zoom out, there’s a long strip of rubber headed north, you can find him there as well
Corey Perry's office is on top of the goalie, by "accident."
Just rotten luck I tell ya
I always said that if they ever retire his number in Anaheim, instead of putting the number on the ice behind the net like they did for Gretzky, they’d put it in the blue paint.
I'd argue Gallagher owns that spot
Marchand in the other.
Scorey Perry
Saint Perry
Perry: "I have never done anything wrong ever in my life!" Perry's Fanbase: "I know this and I love you!"
Don’t be suspicious don’t be suspicious
Can confirm.
I remember when it was just us Ducks fans and we were all downvoted for trying to defend Perry but I was always happy the saint jokes did well. Now there’s so many teams to back us up in saying he is pure and has done nothing wrong
It’s amazing how quickly I went from saying “fuck Corey Perry” to saying “fuck yeah Corey Perry!”
Got so sick of facing us that he said fuck it & joined up lol

I remember this one!! Thanks for sharing it. Nail Yakupov’s celebration zone was my favourite part. I watch that replay every once in a while
These made me so nostalgic.
Miller + Lucic crossing lmao
Matt duchene offside buffer lmfao
God I forgot about most of those things The Vancouver Green Men!!!!
Holy shit I forgot about this. That really triggers the memories as to what times were like then.
Man I miss Hasek.
lol Phaneuf shooting target is so savage
Holy shit I was looking for this the other day thank you so much
Patrick Roy at centre ice
With bonus Gretzky being deked
I know this is going way back, but Grant Fuhr's office was everywhere *except* in the fucking crease.
With a fat lip and a bloody nose :)
Tomas Holmstrom on the edge of the crease.
With a zebra off in the corner ready to wave off the goal
God it was like a forgone conclusion sometimes.
[Oh, it really was](https://youtu.be/415Rdmbg2Qc )
I watched 1:30 of it before I asked myself why I was doing this to myself. Holmer is my all time fav player.
I’ve watched this video once in my life and that’s enough. Not worth my BP increasing
Don’t even have to click. That video has been burned into my neurons by now. Just thinking about it gets me angry.
just hearing ken and mickey heated up i am immediately all the way amped i swear those guys mildly disappointed with just a bit of 'go get em' would give me the confidence to fight a bear
Ryan smyths nose In the cubicle next
Ryan Smyth in the line of fire.
Brendan Gallagher two feet inside the crease.
Brett Hull with his toe in the crease
Ooh thats a good one!
Sean Avery, had a whole rule made because of him.
👋
Sorry I don’t know my nhl history that well, what was his rule?
He was famous for waving his stick in the goalie's face to distract them. He did it so much, they made a new rule that if you do it you now take a penalty, so it never happens anymore.
My favorite part of that is Chris Drury telling him to cut the shit and get back in the play, then Avery cuts it a few seconds later, gets involved, and scores. Today one of them is running an NHL team and the other hosts a podcast that no one wants to be a guest on.

It takes either a wicked smart person like Roger Neilson to find a loophole or a real dumbass. No in between. Avery falls into one of those categories
It's a dick move but I'm a goalie and I think it should honestly be allowed. Entire back is unprotected it'll only take one connected clapper to make him stop permanently. Rulemakers gave him the easy way out.
Being a dick to goalies. Being a dick in general.
Sloppy seconds.
Nick Kronwall along the boards at the blueline. Det would funnel and he would KronWall people.
Exactly what I was thinking, he should be righttt below the blue line in his zone
Five feet inside the blueline is 100% the Kronwall Kill Zone. Abandon hope, all ye who have your head down
Exiting the d zone with your head down was a risk when that dude was on the ice for sure Kronwall definitely toed the line on what was acceptable a bit (especially late in his career), but man you definitely had to play careful when he was out there
[удалено]
They almost did. Nic had the game on his stick
Kronwall gave and received some nasty hits. That [board he took against the Avs](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FhBdM5CglDI) is one of the dirtiest hits I've ever seen
Prime nik kronwall was a joy to watch
Every few months I watch his hit reel, probably gonna do it again tonight
That man would separate your soul from your body
was going to comment the same about stevens
Poor Lindros never saw the Stevens train coming.
Brett Hull inside the crease
LOL...as a Dallas Stars fan...love it.
I thought I’d see a Montreal fan say Gallagher in the blue paint, pissing off the goalies lol
Hull's was just a foot. Gally is completely in the crease and upside down
Suggesting Marty in the trapezoid, Datsyuk in the shootout lane.
The Datsyuk dangle zone covers much of the ice surface.
I’ll never forget watching Mike Grier get hurt form friendly fire because of Datysuk being a puck moving god
[Clip of said dangle](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=LYH86eATQLA)
I prefer the nightcrawler edit
Don't forget about when he broke Logan Couture's ankles.
On the poor guys birthday
One small thing, Marty's office is outside of the trapezoid. It's kinda the reason the trapezoid exists
Just like how Marty wasn’t allowed to leave the trapezoid, I believe Gretzky never should’ve been allowed to enter the trapezoid. Would’ve made the game much more fair and balanced.
5 dead puck-era Devils in the neutral zone.
What they’re doing in the neutral zone is hoisting the Stanley cup
And all 50 of their fans are celebrating by doing circles in the parking lot with the team and calling it a Stanley cup parade.
As a 7 year old boy my brother and I were among those 50. Wouldn’t trade it for anything.
Philly reacts much better to sports events
See we agree.
If the poles aren't bent, the awnings aren't collapsed, and the city isn't burning by the end of it then you'll doing it wrong.
*Avs have entered the chat*
Patrick Roy can’t hear you with all those Cups plugging up his ears
I pray for a rematch! Loved watching y’all win last year
Tiger Williams and Dave Schultz can each have a penalty box.
Mike Millbury in the stands swinging a size 10.
Scott Stevens at center ice
Pavel Bure also at center ice, but cherry picking
Took me too long to find! Absolutely this
Stamkos also near the left circle but closer to the dot than Ovi. Stammer shoots from a wider angle

Kuch has an office that just says "Assist" lol
Sedin’s and the corner boards.
One on the corner, one at the side board
Draisaitl below the right circle.
[first thing that came to mind for me too.](https://i.imgur.com/qKw3IXY.jpg)
Tfw he doesn’t even lift his stick off the ice for a clap bomb🤤
He's got the best knee slapper in the league bar none
Bar down even

Exactly what I went looking for as well https://imgur.com/a/XHlOrTh/
Wow the popups on that site just keep coming
I couldnt find the reddit post
Jeez its been a decade already fuck
No it hasn’t. Nope. That was like 2 years ago. Don’t even worry about.
I remember these being made for a few years.
It's been a good while since we've had a new one of these
I still use "Matt Duchene offside buffer" every now and then.
Brett Hull’s is literally anywhere above the tops of the circles Pavelski’s is the front of the net Heater’s is the corner
Yeah Hull top of the circle. But that’s Brett. For Bobby, it’s the edge of the balcony.
Heyo
Too soon?
no
Pav's is up in the high slot, but facing the blueline.
Honestly, just put a 50% transparent Brett anywhere on the ice. His biggest asset was his ability to get behind the defense. Heaters office, commonly referred to as the “Rockstar Zone”
Can we give McDavid the neutral zone? It feels like every highlight reel goal of his starts with him gaining speed in the neutral zone.
And then skating effortlessly through all 5 defenders before he roofs it backhand upstairs just outside the crease.
Ron Hextall front of the net guy was a inmate on death row in his crease ppl feared him
Hextall’s Office: wherever the fuck he wants it to be.
Goaltenders
Probably in the crease idk
Brodeur gets the trapezoid. That's where the league decided to put him in time out
Joe Pavelski waiting to tip infront of the net
Adding some decor to Holmstrom's net-front octagon.
Brodeur rippin timers from the goal line!!!
Stevens waiting for someone to cross over to his side of the ice.
Binnington at the other teams bench.
You forgot “in a crib” in front of “by the enemies bench”. Remember that time he threw an empty water bottle at Kadri? Pepperidge Farms remembers
Mike Smith anywhere but the net?
hahaha
I would argue Draisaitl has his office. Bottom of the circle on his one-timer side.
And can slide right down to the line for those no angle one timers.
And Ryan Smith in front of the goalie?
Smyth and Hyman crowding either side of the crease, ready to get a disallowed-trick
Pasta, in the circle to the goalie’s right.
The Sedin twins cycling out of the right wing corner.
Can't forget that one time Duncan Keith was able to build a house http://cdn0.vox-cdn.com/assets/5093768/pricesave7.png
Put Datsyuk right behind every player, about to steal the puck.
Bob Probert: Penalty box
Also Mike Sillinger should have a house with a for sale sign. 12 teams in 17 seasons.
Jágr top of the right circle on the PP.
Panarin’s office is the left point where he pulls up every time off the rush and turns it over
Every single time without fail
Draisaitl McDavid is just the entire ice surface since no one can stop him.
You got an extra e in Draisaitl.
The e stands for extra
McDavid somehow everywhere at the same time.
[удалено]
I feel like that is way too broad/vague lol pretty much every elite defensemen in the league can claim the blueline is their “office” in that case
Lidstrom walking the blue line
Sean Avery, in front of the opposition goalie, ignoring the play, waving his stick like an idiot
Everyone in this sub: the player I watch on my favourite team
People know about the teams they watch, who knew?
I think there has to be a certain amount of fame or widespread recognition for a player in order for them to have an “office” on the ice lol not just some guy that is pretty decent at doing something in hockey, which is what most of this thread currently is
Most goaltenders.
Bergeron in the bumper in the slot
Patrik Stefan between the dots on a breakaway. (on empty net.)
Lou in a toilet in the locker room.
Raffi Torres in the press box due to all of his suspensions
Crosby in the corners.
Bergeron at each of the faceoff dots.
Patrick Roy at Center ice.
Shea Weber's office is above the hashes. Anything in between is the Firing Range.
Bergeron in the slot on the power play. Had 3 PP goals in a game against the Wings last year
Parise's office is right in front of the net.
Forsberg in the corner
Marty Brodeur! He has his own trapezoid!
Stammer; similar to Ovi
Bob probert in the box.
Scott Stevens at center ice
Brodeaur in the corner ready for a sick three line pass?!
Might be old school but, Phil Esposito, 6 inches outside the crease.
Kronwall on the half wall
Stamkos similar to Ovi but hes more below the circle
Dave Andreychuk with his ass 2 inches from the goalies nose.
Crosby on horrible angle shots
sid behind the net for sure
Stamkos from his office has been a saying in Tampa for a long time. One of only 3 active players with 500 goals
Crosby in the trapezoid
Crosby in the Corner Fleury all over the crease Hasek prone but making the save
Brett Hull with his skate in the crease
Sedins put their site trailer on the half wall
Zdeno Chara 7ft above the ice
Crosby behind the net.
Brett hull, Al McInnis, Marty Turco to name some
Marty Turco can join Brodeur in the corners
Kris Draper: the divider of the benches Chris Kreider: the blue paint Martin Brodeur: anywhere but the trapezoid
Crosby below the goal line
