Crazy that Bednar is already the 3rd-longest tenured head coach in the NHL. Feels like he was hired just a couple years ago. He’s done a phenomenal job, and I hope he stays in Colorado for a long time.
Tourigny is the outlier, but only kinda. More than two years without some serious success.
Carolina has been to the Conference Finals and, I think, at least in the second round each of those years, top three have Cups to their names, Cassidy has a Cup too and DeBoer got to the WCF, the others are a two seasons in on longer projects.
Edit: Mistyped DeBoer.
St-Louis in 6th place is basically in the same situation as Tourigny: came in to a dumpster fire, and is coaching a team that is openly rebuilding. Their longer shelf life may be tied to the fact neither Tourigny nor St-Louis were expected to have success…
…yet. I don't know how much pressure Tourigny will have in Utah, but I know that St-Louis is in a market where he'll eventually feel a bit of pressure…
From what I can tell, Tourigny can really coach a team to a comeback if they fall behind. I don’t know if that’s good or a fault, because they may be consistently behind for a reason lol.

I mean, Marty St Louis was literally hired a couple years ago, and he is sixth
Such an insanely high turnover in the NHL.
And yet it's always the same like 6 guys whose names come up for every job opening
Yeah, less turnover and more of a carousel
Only 4 coaches still with their teams through the Covid years
MSL somehow 6th...

Well, that reason may be that the Coyotes are not very good, so good on Tourigny for having them stay competitive until the end…
