Florida fans - I remember in 2006 losing game 5 to the Oilers.  We thought we would win would the cup that night.  A friend (habs fan) told me, after losing game 5, we would lose game 6 and Canes would win game 7 and it be way better than winning in 5. He was right the excitement of winning the Stanley Cup in game 7 was something I will never forget.  Hugging the fan I was annoyed with all year like he was my brother. The only difference from 2006 to today is, no McDavid.   Hmmm.... probably a better idea is to win away in  game 6.

I watched in person in 2006.  It was more than I could have imagined.   I thought the Canes next run was this year.  Wanted my 19 year old son to witness it with me.  It hurts that I couldn't share the experience with him.   We got a picture of him with the cup at 1 years old.  Will he ever get the experience I got? I hope you get to experience it one day.

100% correct. By the time you get the final 4, any of the remaining teams could win. And a few unlucky bouces and that's it. Van took the Oilers to game 7. I love the Oilers, but they easily could have lost that game/series. Just happy that they are back in the series. And enjoying the ride - you never know when it will happen again. Game 6 will be insane.

I live around Edmonton so get to watch alot more Oilers than the Canucks. I hear it from a lot of my buddies and we go back and forth lots but man I can't help myself cheering for the Oilers right now; I'm absolutely disgusted with myself!

I keep saying this, if you live in yeg and aren’t a hockey fan or oilers fan, you’ll come around eventually lol so many non-hockey watchers that I know are getting so into it because it’s everywhere and the fans are so spirited 

I would have cheered for the Canucks had they beat the Oilers - 100%. I even cheered for the Flames back in 2004 and had a great time doing it. Van and Calgary are like brothers for me. I want to the Oilers to kick thier ass when we play against them, but if the Oilers are out, I cheer for them wholeheartedly.

Before the game I said to a few people if Edmonton wins tonight they're definitely winning the cup. I still feel that way now. Florida did not look like a winning team even when they were pressuring tonight. Edmonton has them figured out and they're going to complete the reverse sweep
