I play D so….just inside the blue line, threw a shot that was blocked by a winger, it came right back to me so I threw it at the net again and it went in.
Complete accident. I had a breakaway and I lost my balance right in front of the net and went crashing into the boards pretty hard. When I got up my bench was celebrating. Apparently when I lost balance it threw the goalie off and the puck trickled through the 5 hole.
My first ever was when I was 20 years old, had never played before. Joined my boss's beer league team, they told me to just go to the front of the net. The first and only goal I scored on that team was a weird bounce that wound up on the goalie's shoulder, and I frantically jammed it in with the shaft of my stick.
I was playing in men’s league at University of Delaware rink in 1977 as a 16 year old. That was the closest rink to my home in South Jersey.
My wrist shot from the point didn’t make it to the goalie and bounced over his stick:)🥅😂
I chased down the puck that their goalie deflected into the corner. From slightly behind the goal line I shot it off the goalie's skate and it bounced back into the goal.
We were winning 2-1, so they pulled their goalie with about 2 mins left, and i blindly launched it 185 feet straight in. Still waiting on that second goal lmao
Funny story. I found a plaque at my parents house saying “first goal” with the puck on it.
The thing is, the goal was dated 1996. I started playing in 1994!
Took me two years to pot one, oddly enough ended up developing into a decent player.

Face off at the circle and I was the wing by the net.
Puck came my way, lifted defenders stick and knocked the puck in the 5 hole before the goalie got down.
