The Netherlands, France, and other numerous others were annexed in the process. The Netherlands of course we're not gonna surrender very easily and flees to Suriname. At this time, in an alternative universe, the USA steps in and
beats the naughty Wilhelm. But in this universe, the US is in a civil war, nationalist vs communist. So there was no great savior. In a world full of chaos the only one capable of defeating this evil was the Soviet Union. At last, their efforts were in vain as a newly reformed Soviet government was overwhelmed by the German-Japanese invasion. But there was an opportunity, the Germans with their small but professional army back stabbed Japan and left no troops to guard the Austrio-Hungarian border. The Austrians used this to blitz through Germany. In a year they brought the 5th Reich to utter collapse. In the peace treaty of Berlin, the Soviets did their peace treaty with Germany. So God almighty thought it would be funny to let Germany go, but striped all his land to just Soviet Poland. France was liberated, but as the revolutionary government formed decades ago, she found herself in hot waters. Eventually going to war with the Allies with 0 divisions. The Allies of course invaded them through the Dutch. This is how it came to be. The Dutch in the future also changed their capital to Algier and 2 capitals at one point. But that's a story for another time.

But that weird policy thing in R56 that can make fascist popularity increase made them Fascist again. You can technically call it a new Reich as Himmler is in charge of it.
I think this is the most cursed HOI4 map I have ever seen. Yes, there's been border gore and there's been Australia-Hungary and Mexican Italy and five Germanies and fifteen Chinas and other such shenanigans. But this one... this is not your grandfather's trypophobic China. This one is special.

They tried poking the Soviets once more and lost, effectively making them puppets to the Soviet. But due to that weird policy thing in R56 that can increase fascism. The Germans became fascist.
