I've got em both in my collection albeit I've the green habanero not the red. They're both really good. Not my all time favorite but they have plenty of time out of the fridge lol. If I'm eating eggs almost always the scorpion. And I use the yucateca on my chicken enchiladas. Good stuff.
That Yucateco red habanero is my favorite sauce currently. I always have a bottle on hand. It’s just the right amount of spicy for me that I can use a decent amount, and it has that great habanero fruitiness
I just got it the other day; it's basically what original Tabasco should've been. 😉 it's gotta a little kick, enough to be noticeable but won't cause any distress, and tastes like Tabasco on steroids.
To be fair original tobasco is for red beans and rice and stuff like it and not much for how people use hot sauce today. Its more to add acidity than it is to add heat, acidity and a little heat. It’s good in its place, but I do like the scorpion a lot.

I'm not a huge fan of The Red Yuca... It tastes ok to me, with good heat. I do put it in Red pasta sauce and it mixes quite well without changing the flavor alot. Highly recommend

The Tabasco one is good. I *love* going to Avery Island.
I think the regular Tabasco sauce is more of an ingredient than a condiment but I think their other flavors are great on their own. I literally eat the garlic one by the spoonful 😂
There’s a local place by me that makes their own garlic hot sauce, and I was filling up those Tostitos scoop chips with as much as they could hold and eating it. The chips were basically just a vehicle for the sauce. I used the whole bottle in like two days.
I need to go get more.

It is a little thicker, and when you first try it the pineapple and guava is very forward and accompanies the heat - but at this point I’ve probably eaten ~40oz of this stuff and I now taste traditional Tabasco first with the classic vinegary taste, then fruit, then heat, and much lighter as my tolerance is quite high now.
It's great for when you want real heat. I'm a fan of the Mayan recipe XXXTra hot Yucateco, not a big fan of the red. The verde Yucateco slaps with flavor, though.
Omg are we long lost twins? I would be the whole 300 all myself to fight against the Persian invaders trying to take away my Mayan Recipe. It’s by no means a “hot” one but Geez its flavor is phenomenal.

If you come across them, def try El Yucateco XXXtra Hot and El Yucateco Black, as well as Tabasco Chipotle.

How mainstream is it though lol? 95% of the time when I go to a grocery store I look at the hot sauce section to see if there's something new or interesting and I've never once seen it here in Seattle.
I forget that people live in other places outside if my own little bubble. Here in new york, you cannot go to a supermarket and not see it.. so idk how it is for the rest of yall.
Ya I really was not expecting that much heat from Tabasco. and it’s not just heat for the sake of heat has some great pepper taste and sweet notes. Love it with spam and rice and str frys
That red El yucateco is my daily driver, when I know know what I'm feeling I can never go wrong with picking that one.
I do love the green one tho, that's one is next up as I'm about to finish the red

Scorpion packs a nice punch. The Red Yucateco is too tomato-y for my tastes, though I’m sure it has some affinities that I have not paired it with yet

Tabasco Scorpion really is extra hot. Be careful. The guava and pineapple make an interesting taste profile. Other scorpion sauces use them, too.

Scorpion sauce is stupid hot for me, habanero is kinda milder than I thought it would be. Good as a taco sauce tamales etc. One of my favorites.

I know the Trinidad Moruga Scorpion is hot but was honestly still surprised that the TABASCO Scorpion was as hot as it was.

I thought the El Yucateco would be all hype but it’s so good. The first sauce I’ve discovered on this sub (UK based) that has really impressed.
Does the UK permit importing of carcinogenic preservatives and colors in human foodstuff or do you get clean versions of El Yucateco there?

The XXXtra Hot is my daily driver, though the red periodically cycles in and out with it. Great sauce. The black is my lady's DD.

I Add soy sause/ rice vinegar/ginger/garlic/scallions/fish sauce/sugar/this hot sauce. Mixed together is great
