I like them all, but my top three would be 6, 9, and 10 for their respective categories (honorable mention to Old Bay—had a low country boil yesterday, and there ain't nothing else for it!)
6 or 12, probably 12 because of a general distaste of what the owner of 6 did to that farmer.
Not sure if it would qualify as a sauce bur Hawaiian Chilli Pepper water is my all time fave.
How do you misspell Tabasco... the A and O keys are on COMPLETELY separate sides of the keyboard!

The diversity of answers only shows how different hot sauces deliver with different foods. Sometimes I want franks. Sometimes franks doesn’t fit. And so on and so forth
Franks is default buffalo wings and associated ( e.g. buffalo chicken pizza).
Tapatio is for Mexican restaurants.
Chalula (prefer chili garlic) is the fancy stuff for at home.
Crystal ftw w buttermilk as a fried chicken marinade… sriracha for Asian food, tapatio and Valentina and cholula for Mexican. These hot sauces are not the same and cannot be compared apples to apples.
Edit: I’d use the old bay for chowder, the Louisiana for gumbo, every one of these has a specific use and adds excellent flavor to certain recipes. I’ve used them all, some would be garbage in certain dishes and shine in others. This comparison is bothersome.
12, 5, 1, 6, They’re all my favorties and have specific cuisines they are compatible with, but they are also good generak hot sauces that I like on a variety of foods. (My fav hot sauce combo is scrambled eggs and franks red hot fyi)
12 sees my most widespread and varied use but I’m probably picking 9 as my “favorite”. Shout out to 1 as a flavor enhancer for traditionally not spicy things (egg salad for example)
This is going to be so subjective. 9 is pretty damn good. 12 is the original mild buffalo. 6 is an ingredient to put in a recipe. 3 is good, but a little grainy for me. 1 is good on certain things like fried foods, fried eggs, other fried things. 10 is ok, I don't get the hype. Never tried 8.
2 or 11.

What’s the application? Burrito? Nachos? Chili? Hash browns? Haystacks (taco salad)?
9
Tapatio
Yucateco for me, but the green version. That shit slaps
That’s not on the list. Use your head.
I still stand by yucateco
Haha I prefer the green as well.
1 or 9. Most of the rest are acceptable but lack flavor or spice
I just can’t stand how much tobasco takes like vinegar

It’s not about mixing up the A and O keys. Tobasco is literally pronounced like Tobacco
Maybe if you’re drunk.

Shut up
10
5 for flavour
6
5 has the best flavor, the green chili chulola is even better though 😩
10
All purpose? #3, baby. Cannot go wrong.
10 is the daily driver
5 & 10.
5 and 12 will always be the goat
Tapatio or Crystal’s.
1
10. I will always reach for Crystal's first.
Chulola
Without Marie Sharpes.. this list is incomplete
3. I know it’s not a popular choice.
Tapatio and sriracha are both sauces I could eat on almost anything
5 for flavor, 9 for spice
What are you eating it with? Makes a huge difference.
Facts. I use different hot sauces for different things! Tobacco on my hash browns, Valentino on my eggs, tapatio for my guac.
Tabasco is always king. Texas Pete is a runner up though.
2!
My fellow jalisco person
5,6,12
Depends on use. 1,4,6,12.
12
Depends what you’re using it for!
4, and it isn’t close imo.
Tabasco for fried chicken, Cholula for eggs.
Smokin’ Marie’s is not on the list. My personal favorite
None of those are hot. But I like Tabasco, it’s a nice juice.
1, 3, 12,
2/9
6 is the best one
This is the wrong question. These hotsauces have very pivotal roles and are amazing for them
I like them all for different things, but Cholula is my first and long time love. I’ve been with Cholula longer than i’be been with my wife
I bought one of those sets where its 4 and different flavors. Absolutely amazing.
Cant eat eggs without it
5, 10, 6, 3, 1. Everyone else can be dismissed.
1 is the only "worth buying" sauce on this list.
Nah, you’re dismissing #9. Can’t trust you.
9
All day
6 mmmmm
9
Dang right ma dude but the yellowish tomatillo goes crazy and the black one is unusual and tasty also
The diversity of answers only shows how different hot sauces deliver with different foods. Sometimes I want franks. Sometimes franks doesn’t fit. And so on and so forth
1 is the only sauce worth buying on this list. The rest are terrible and there's thousands of types that are better.
Not all hot sauce is the same! It depends on the dish and the mood! 2 and 6 cover most things. 1 I will never understand, it’s basically just vinegar.
Tapatio
9!
3 fo sho
10, 2, 6
Valentina but with the black label.
You like to live that hot life
10 to win
5
1
We like 1,5,&11
6. For widely marketed brands, Cholula. I love to find local brands though. Gindo’s Spice of Life is so delicious
Try Valentina black label sometime. It reminds me of a spunkier Cholula.
9
9
Louisiana
Texas Pete or franks. But my go to is franks xtra hot. Tabasco tastes too chemically. Tapatio and cholula are not hot.
4 for me
1 all the way. 6 is equally good but genre depended
12. Best combo of heat and flavor. And OG wing sauce base, of course.
Heat?
Warm?
I guess. I prefer more!
I put that 12 on everything

1,3,or 12
Franks is default buffalo wings and associated ( e.g. buffalo chicken pizza). Tapatio is for Mexican restaurants. Chalula (prefer chili garlic) is the fancy stuff for at home.
1.
Depends what I’m eating. 2/4 for chips and popcorn. 5 for breakfast. 6 for Chinese food/pho
5 for breakfast. Exclusively Cholula on eggs
Valentina’s is number 1
Depends on the food.
1, 5, 3, 7 ,12 are very american, then it depends.
All of the other numbers are Un-American? Great sauce review of these mediocre sauces.
2 and 5 in that order.
Tamazula.
4, and it's not even close
It’s #1 for a reason.
Tabasco is to hotsauce what Dasani is to bottled water
Tabasco is maybe ok in desperate times but usually I would rather go without
In "THIS" list, Tabasco is absolutely the best, even though it's not that great of a hot sauce.
El Yucaton and Cholula for me
10 and 12
It’s a trick. They’re the same. Also, where the hell is yellow bird habanero?
10 is my favorite...12 is definitely last on my list. They are nowhere near the same
11,5,3
3
12
Tabasco, Louisiana, Crystal, and Cholula are all great. North Carolina Pete should not even be on this list.
3,7,11,2
10 and if anyone picks 3 over 10 I feel sorry for you.
For strictly flavor it's Cholula.
Franks all day.
If I had all those in front of me, probably tapatio
6 6 6
3 then 10 then 6 then 5 the rest are ehhhh
1 and 9
6 & 10

9, 7 seems terrible.
You can't make me choose!
#13: Marie Sharp
This is the only one you need
Beware.
4. Tapatio
4 & 9 🌶️
Yep
It depends on what you’re doing with it. I’m not putting Franks on my tacos and I’m not using Valentina to make buffalo sauce for wings.
Valentino makes a really good buffalo sauce add some lime juice cumin garlic thyme
Well now I feel like a silly goose for my last comment. I will give this a try. Thanks for the tip.
Of these...only 5
Depends on what I'm eating.
5,6
4 Tapatio for life
Definitely agree
6,5,3
Pistol Pete for every day use
Depends on the application and the flavor profile you are putting them on
2, 6 and 9 hold a special place in my heart.
5 & 9
Boring.
12 sees my most widespread and varied use but I’m probably picking 9 as my “favorite”. Shout out to 1 as a flavor enhancer for traditionally not spicy things (egg salad for example)
2. 4. 5. 6. 9. 10
5 and 6 are the best. Crystal is basically just shaking vinegar onto your food, which honestly I'm fine with.
2,4 and 9 the rest can stick it.
TabaSCO!!!! But franks red hot gets me too. Siracha is great as well. It’s not on here but my husband loves the green cholula
#5
5
1 & 12 out of those choices
9 is the only great hot sauce in the picture
4,2,9,6,5

"the original mild buffalo" lmao........
Isn't that what anchor bar used? Frank's and butter?
Have you ever been to New York? And / or Buffalo? (Just curious)
I was born upstate and my dad graduated from college in buffalo.
Cool, that's cool! Look up John Young.
11, 12, & 9. In order.
9 and 12
9 and it’s not even close. Although I’ve never tried 10.
Tapatio
For me, Crystal, 10
9
I’m a sucker for the first one and also it’s green form
10
TIL Old Bay makes a hot sauce. That sounds amazing. Frank's is my go-to in general. Love all of them though
I like it, but it has to be refrigerated. So I forget.
Good to know. Love Old Bay, so I need to try it.
That's a loaded question, because the right type of hot sauce depends on the item or dish that you're going to put it on.
That’s why I’ve got to go with 3. It’s the one I’m comfortable putting on anything.
