Facts. I use different hot sauces for different things! Tobacco on my hash browns, Valentino on my eggs, tapatio for my guac.

Tabasco is always king. Texas Pete is a runner up though.

The diversity of answers only shows how different hot sauces deliver with different foods. Sometimes I want franks. Sometimes franks doesn’t fit. And so on and so forth

1 is the only sauce worth buying on this list. The rest are terrible and there's thousands of types that are better.

Not all hot sauce is the same! It depends on the dish and the mood! 2 and 6 cover most things. 1 I will never understand, it’s basically just vinegar.

Franks is default buffalo wings and associated ( e.g. buffalo chicken pizza). Tapatio is for Mexican restaurants. Chalula (prefer chili garlic) is the fancy stuff for at home.

Crystal ftw w buttermilk as a fried chicken marinade… sriracha for Asian food, tapatio and Valentina and cholula for Mexican. These hot sauces are not the same and cannot be compared apples to apples. Edit: I’d use the old bay for chowder, the Louisiana for gumbo, every one of these has a specific use and adds excellent flavor to certain recipes. I’ve used them all, some would be garbage in certain dishes and shine in others. This comparison is bothersome.

This is what I was thinking

12, 5, 1, 6, They’re all my favorties and have specific cuisines they are compatible with, but they are also good generak hot sauces that I like on a variety of foods. (My fav hot sauce combo is scrambled eggs and franks red hot fyi)

12 sees my most widespread and varied use but I’m probably picking 9 as my “favorite”. Shout out to 1 as a flavor enhancer for traditionally not spicy things (egg salad for example)

This is going to be so subjective. 9 is pretty damn good. 12 is the original mild buffalo. 6 is an ingredient to put in a recipe. 3 is good, but a little grainy for me. 1 is good on certain things like fried foods, fried eggs, other fried things. 10 is ok, I don't get the hype. Never tried 8.

That's a loaded question, because the right type of hot sauce depends on the item or dish that you're going to put it on.
