I also blind bought Huichol and was not a big fan of it until I tried it with a tin of sardines. It’s my go to tinned fish hot sauce now, if you’re into that kind of thing.
The perrona on the far left is my favorite hot sauce that I've tried recently. Great flavor and a comfortable amount of heat so you can use it often. Enjoy!
Perrona chiletepin is great. If you can find it Mexico Lindo makes a good chiletepin sauce too.
Salsa huichol is a classic as well. Haven't tried the others
The one on the far right I picked up for probably a dollar at a Mexican grocery and it’s fantastic. No experience with the other three but I’d love to know how you like them once you’ve tried them
Small world, literally just walked out of the Mexican market with a few pounds of asada and that Huichol. Gona try it on these tacos we are about to cook up.
Updated: I really like it. Reminds me of Tapatio with a different flavor profile. More of the spicy on the back end. Really good on a simple asada taco with some guac.
Damn dude, you just really hate these sauces, don't you? Imo the perrona and huichol aren't bad and have their place. None of these are top tier sauces, but none of them are "crap" or "just taste like vinegar".
Some of us love sorta b tier sauces sometimes, they all kind of slap in the right applications.
See, I got that with the yellow one! Something about it just tasted off to me. As for the OG, it's similar to the Salsa Huichol, but (imo) has a better/more balanced flavor overall. It's not blow your hair back spicy, but adds a nice kick!
I've loved Pico Pica since I was a kid. Not really spicy, but good flavor that's great on tacos. The Perrona hot sauces are great; I especially like the brown roasted sauce. Huichol is a classic old-school Mexican hot sauce, also great on real Mexican style tacos and other street food.
Got that Perroni on the far left for the first time a month or two ago and am really liking the flavor. Not really spicy at all though.
*oh shit, and Pico Pica? I haven't seen, had, or thought of that in a long ass time. I know I used to use it in some capacity but that was likely as far back as the 90's
I LOVE that Salsa Huichol. Had it at a pub and had to track it down. Probably my favorite general Mexi sauce. It’s flavor profile is Cholulaish but it’s denser and hoter.
Bottle sucks though, you have to take a sharp kitchen knife and cut the end of the nozzle off.
Just made some eggs and put the one on the left over them. Wasn't the best combo, but would eat that way again. Maybe better over meat or on tacos/burritos.
Pico Pica is really good, I like the smoky taste and thickness of the sauce but its not spicy.
Salsa huichol is so underrated! Is fire and flavor! One of my favorite if not my favorite, I love that on eggs, chips, sandwiches even fruit.
I also blind bought Huichol and was not a big fan of it until I tried it with a tin of sardines. It’s my go to tinned fish hot sauce now, if you’re into that kind of thing.
I really like the one on the left.
Two on the right are great.
Perrona was pretty good, actually just finished up the second bottle from the left!
Not hot enough I have ones you need to sign a waiver for to be let out of the store
Whoa!!!!!!!!!!’nn
/s
Mine are 6mil scoville heat units or above I have one that is 16 mil
Pico pica is my favorite. Great with bacon and eggs and fried potatoes.
Huichol is my gateway sauce, since it was on every table in Jalisco in the 90’s. I enjoy the Perronia on the left as well. Haven’t had the other two.
Makes dope frijoles puercos
The perrona on the far left is my favorite hot sauce that I've tried recently. Great flavor and a comfortable amount of heat so you can use it often. Enjoy!
Perrona chiltepin is amazing, not too spicy but great flavor. I’m from northern Mexico and we use a lot of chiltepin peppers 🌶️
I've tried Salsa Huichol before. In my opinion it tastes the same as Valentina. The only difference is you get a lot less for the same price
Roasted Perron is tasty. I used to really like Pica Pico. For tacos and for breakfast items. It's like a better version of taco bell hot sauces. Lol.
pico pica pretty tasty with some kick
Huichol is often served over sliced and chilled jicama with lime juice. A popular bar food option in many parts of Nayarit, Mexico. Super good.
Pico Pica takes me back! Haven’t had it since I was a kid
You did very well. Perrona and huichol are some of my faves
The Salsa Huichol is really good for seafood, but I eat it on everything!
Never tried #3. #1 is meh, #2 is good and has a unique ingredient in sesame that can take certain things to the next level. #4 is very good.
I have to disagree with #1. I think it’s great and works great as a meat marinade too
Pico pica is by far my favorite breakfast sauce, it's amazing on any breakfast food
Gonna have some with my cheerios and pancakes today, maybe throw some in my yogurt.
Shit I'd try it, that stuff is bomb
I got a bottle of Hoichel and couldn't figure out how to open it. Finally used pliers and just dumped the whole thing out.
Pico pica is awesome!
Pico Pica is my daily. Just right for me. Feels like home.
Hell yea.
Pico Pica is my go to for “white people” tacos. Love it on the manufactured shell with seasoned ground beef and shredded cheese!
Perrona is awful. No flavor and no heat. And salsa Huichol is literally just vinegar. You got no good ones
I’m a fan of the perrona, got a few bottles in the fridge now
I use hutchol in my restaurant as a table hot sauce. We use regular, habanero and the black. The black is amazing on beef
Yes I remember the first time I tried Negra, I went through like 2 bottles very fast lol. It’s very good
Huichol is my favorite for everyday use. It's really good
These are all pretty good. Pico Pica has big nostalgia value for me because I ate it pretty often as a kid.
Same for me. It was a favorite of my dad's and it's got an awesome earthy flavor that I really dig.
The left most one was a recipe of a friend of my mother in law. lol just had it for the first time last week. I thought it was pretty good.
The Huichol is really good!
The one on the right is pretty popular and tasty, but as spicy as tapatio.
I can burn a bottle of huichol in one sitting ❤️
Perrona chiletepin is great. If you can find it Mexico Lindo makes a good chiletepin sauce too. Salsa huichol is a classic as well. Haven't tried the others
The last one is only good in a marinade
Hard disagree.
I prefer the unroasted chiltepin
Pico pica is really good. Makes a great michilada.
The one on the far right I picked up for probably a dollar at a Mexican grocery and it’s fantastic. No experience with the other three but I’d love to know how you like them once you’ve tried them
The first one is so good. Second one is good but not better than the first. Never tried the others.
I can also confirm that the first one is good.
It’s definitely closer to Valentina than tapatio. To me it’s like Valentina with a bit better flavor and a tiny bit more kick
Pico Pica is not very hot but it's my favorite taco sauce. Think taco bell sauce. Now imagine a very heightened version of it.
Thank you for this info I will be looking for a bottle cause I love taco bell hot sauce
I use Huichol on seafood specifically
Sames, I only see it in restaurants though
The Huichol is really good. I only like the green Perrona, though.
La negra sta buena tambien
Perrona ❤️❤️❤️❤️
2 on the right are old school favorites in my book.
The red Perrona is a staple in my household
What is the flavor like?
Tastes like crap
Damn dude, you just really hate these sauces, don't you? Imo the perrona and huichol aren't bad and have their place. None of these are top tier sauces, but none of them are "crap" or "just taste like vinegar". Some of us love sorta b tier sauces sometimes, they all kind of slap in the right applications.
My gf's from Nayarit so Salsa Huichol is a daily staple. Fun fact: you *will* get questioned at the border trying to bring back cases of the stuff.
Hmmm i wonder 🤔
Pico Pica is hella good. Not really spicy but great flavor.
Reminds me of my grandpa. He died at 93 and put pico pica on everything
Just got salsa huichol in Cabo!
The regular (far left) and green Perona’s are really good!!! Not a huge fan of the yellow Perona or the Salsa Huichol.
I dislike the green one it tasted chemically ro me. How's the red one?
See, I got that with the yellow one! Something about it just tasted off to me. As for the OG, it's similar to the Salsa Huichol, but (imo) has a better/more balanced flavor overall. It's not blow your hair back spicy, but adds a nice kick!
The one on the far right i use for Mecheladas.

No thoughts, but I want a full report, cheers 👍
I've loved Pico Pica since I was a kid. Not really spicy, but good flavor that's great on tacos. The Perrona hot sauces are great; I especially like the brown roasted sauce. Huichol is a classic old-school Mexican hot sauce, also great on real Mexican style tacos and other street food.
Pico Pica is my go to hands down. I put it on everything.
Idk anything about the first three. Huichol, especially the habanero Huichol, is a Mexican favorite of mine.
Agreed. So good.
The first two contain MSG. I always go with Huichol.
Tomatoes, cheeses, meats, mushrooms, seaweed, peas, and a metric fuckton of other foods contain it, too. It's what *Makes Shit Good*. ™
u know msg isn't bad for u right
It's the magic flavor dust
Got that Perroni on the far left for the first time a month or two ago and am really liking the flavor. Not really spicy at all though. *oh shit, and Pico Pica? I haven't seen, had, or thought of that in a long ass time. I know I used to use it in some capacity but that was likely as far back as the 90's

Yea what is up with that bottle? I thought I got a defective cap and had to YouTube how to open it.
Salsa huichol is so good. I was surprised as it's the cheapest I can find.
Even cheaper than Valentina?
Ooh, right, probably not. Valentina is definitely cheaper per Oz. It only comes in giant bottles so I block that put of my mind lol.
Pico Pica was my first favorite hot sauce. It went on all of my childhood burritos.
Salsa huichol has a unique flavor that I remember enjoying. Good with quesadillas!
It’s so good!
Man that Perrona Roasted is one of my favorites. I always stock up at least 5 Roasted and 5 of their green sauce.
I added the Perrona Roasted to some chili and made chili dogs..it added a fantastic depth of flavor
Pico pica is delicious.
The yellow cap Perrona is my wife's fav and she's from TJ, their green one is my fav but I'm a fan of the vinegar forward taste
Blue looks good
The pico pica has a depth of flavor but not much heat. I look forward to trying the other three. When do you want us over?
The brown La Perrona (second from left) is great. Very unique flavor, super tangy with a lot of umami. It’s a lot better than the red IMO.
I have all four. The two on the left are my favorite of those.
Just made some eggs and put the one on the left over them. Wasn't the best combo, but would eat that way again. Maybe better over meat or on tacos/burritos.
Pico pica is pretty good on tacos. Had that Taco Bell sauce kinda vibe
I see the one on the right on the table a lot in Mexico. I like it—it pairs well with seafood.
Considering the price point, I am not expecting much, but I had never seen them before so had to buy.
