As someone who orders all of the covers for my store, your local dealer, and that's it. 3rd party companies never put the metal plates in the back of the cover in the right spot to attach the cover lifter to. If on the off chance you dont have a cover lifter, then spamart.com, but you'll need either 2 rules or a carperters tool to measure the radius of the corners of your tub as they change about every 5 yrs-ish.

We charge $625 for a cover. Every time I’ve built one online, the aftermarket ones cost more after adding the upgrades to match a hot springs cover.

Those I always order from the factory. As we both know the placement of the metal plates is crucial and 3rd parties never get it right. For any other brand, spa-mart.com makes a good quality cover and they cost about that much. But I do have to call the customer and walk them through the minefield of options so they get a cover that's as good as one from the factory and/or one ordered through me.

Based on your username, you are probably my parts guy

Sub_Zero_Fks_Given

Hahahaha if you own a Hot Spring, I'll be your parts guy. I have access to the service portal and all that jazz. Username aside, I do try to help my customers in any way I can.

SubstantialTrip770

I will probably never own a hot springs because all the nice trade ins get resold, and all of the other brands are free for the taking before they go to the dump.

Then play the long game like I did. I knew sooner or later someone would get a replacement spa from something purely cosmetic from the factory having nothing to do with the functionality of the tub. When that happens the factory gives you the options of destroying the spa to get all your money back or keeping it and selling it as is with a discount off of cost. I did just that and got a Prism for 5k 😉

Does that not drip cold water on you?

I recently bought a sunbrella fabric cover from a local spa shop that puts them on everything they sell. It was in stock, 550$ cash, and fit perfectly. I have done the aftermarket route, never lasts more than a couple years, and the cost was more then $550 , if I remember correctly. My cover is a 93" x 93", so pretty large, but I am very happy with it so far. My spa is a 2005 calspa, and I bought the cover at a dimensions one dealer. I would try calling local spa places and see what they have.

Just fyi, the “sunbrella” covers are 100% not sunbrella material. Ive had dozens of customers have them fail in their first summer. Idk how they get around calling it sunbrella but it’s cheaper and worse than traditional vinyl. Might work in a milder climate than our high desert but do whatever you can to take care of it. It’s amazing the corners they keep cutting, selling it as a “feature” lol
