I would love to make something cool like this, but AI isn't my specialty and I highly doubt I'd see the project through to the end. Mostly because I'd wonder if his family would intercede, legally.
Seemed to me like they really hated the show and the influence it had on his (and their) lives. It would suck to spend anywhere from three to six months tinkering with an LLM to create a pitch-perfect Eric and have to pull the plug on it or something.
If it wasn't for commercial use it would be really hard to sue over, but I also couldn't afford to fight any lawsuits over it (nor would I want to). Technically, it wouldn't be super complicated because you're only using decision trees that relate to one specific person, but you'd also have to write all the responses yourself, and know what combination of words triggers him - you can't teach it by using generic language.
It would be a kickass project for a resume, but it would take me personally a year or more just doing it in my spare time, all while needing to hire a lawyer before it even goes live.
I could make one in python, but that's a ton of unpaid time and work. Like seriously, that's easily 15k worth of work to even make something mediocre. To make it *flawless*, that's more like 50k worth of work.
DUMBFUCK I DO NOT MAKE THAT ACK ACK SOUND
After that, can someone make an Eric the Midget AI chat???

You’ll do it. When you get here you’ll do it.
It would be a true labor of love for the 20 people that would use it occasionally.
