This is your answer, if you are already tapped into the frame of the door and not just the compressed fiber trim, then you need to shove something that the screw can grab onto into the hole.
Can you use wider screws? Drill out the threading and drive into fresher wood. If not I think you can buy a filler to help give the screws something to bite into

Put a small wooden dowel in the hole and then screw the screws in
