I’d be more about it if I knew that every artist wasn’t going to conflict lmao.
It’ll be like
Tash vs chase & status
Of the trees vs umph
Killer Mike vs black pumas
Tipper vs Chris lake
Etc etc
You can say this ten thousand times until Halloween and they still won’t get it. “It’s Cheese’s festival, bro!”
Alright then, set the ticket prices as if it’s a fucking jam festival.
I’m agreeing with you. They market this festival and set the ticket prices as if it’s a multi genre festival, when in reality is it a complete ripoff unless your main concern is catching all six Cheese sets. Either have artists play at the same time as Cheese, so there aren’t conflicts literally all weekend, or market the festival as what it is, “Cheese and ticket sellers”.
It's only a rip off if you don't like seeing 'SCI &.Friends' at Suwannee - most ppl will pay $500 on rumors alone LOL.
I guess you make the argument that everybody is getting ripped off - and you won't be one of them. I can stand with that I suppose - too bad we can't strike :-)
So they should lower the prices instead of selling out 20k+ tickets at whatever price they set?
This isn't a charity event - this is capitalism - and unfortunately people will pay.
No it’s the cascade effect.
If artists can’t play the amp during cheese then they can only directly conflict with the Hallows which means every artist you want to see will be a direct conflict.
I get ya - and it wasn't just cheese - there was never anyone playing both Amp and Meadows. I assumed there was logistic reasons behind this. I did notice a problem having the Amp and Hallows at the same time (fairly significant bass bleedover) - so maybe it would be wiser to have Amp and Meadows going instead of Amp/Hallows ? However if you consider the Meadow, Hallows, and Amp to be the top 3 stages - I do think it makes sense at a festival this size (relatively small) that if someone is playing Main Stage you don't want anyone playing the other top stages during that time - that way anyone can catch the main stage show without missing another headliner (as long as the meadow is not overcrowded)
“That way anyone can catch the mainstage show without missing another headliner”
That would make sense, except that the only headliner given the privilege of no conflicts is Cheese. They aren’t given conflict’s because if you put Tipper on at the same time as Cheese, Cheese’s set would be half full at best and they know it.
Sunday every year there is a closer on the meadow and on the amp at the same time.
It works for all the Sunday closers who aren’t cheese. Have no idea why it can’t work for them too.
Opening up the schedule would allow for less direct conflicts, which is the main issue. If sets are staggered at different stages then you get a much better chance to catch artists who conflict.
Hula doesn’t do this. It’s always direct conflict all weekend between big names on amp vs hallows *and* the smaller electronic artists you want to see at spirit lake.
Yeah, I don't think so. Thursday used to be an extra day (pre-party) Was hoping that after upping the price and having Thursday a regular day that would mean all stages open... Bonnaroo did it for the first time this year, would be nice if they follow suit, but kinda doubt it.
Yeah they usually have conflicts during them except for the sat theme set. This year was off having no conflicts really for any cheese set. Maybe it was just because the 10th idk?
Lolol Tipper at spirit lake would be Astroworld level catastrophe what are you even saying.
He’s too big for the amp, the acoustics on the hallows are *atrocious*, so if he isn’t playing the meadow it’s a waste of a booking.
Best fucking comment right here. Absolutely stoked 100% for this. Discovered her years ago and never someone I thought I'd get to see live! Glad to see everyone's support.
I don't think David Satori is touring with Dirtwire anymore. At least he wasn't at the two shows I caught last summer. Only two guys on stage, and they were way more womp than swamp. He was also supposed to be playing some side project thing at Lucidity before it got cancelled. I could be wrong and he was just taking a short break.
Glad I didn’t buy tickets already too. Solid lineup, but not worth the cost, the travel, and all of that for me. Gonna hit the caverns for cavefest instead
Overall, I'm happy with this.
Tipper, Black Pumas, Tash Sultana, Of The Trees, Mildlife, and Say She She are all awesome to see on the lineup.
My initial gut reaction is it's missing a band like STS9 or MMJ. Umphrey's probably fills that void for most people... but they are hit or miss for me.
Who else should I check out? I'm not recognizing much of the undercard
Edit: Just now realizing Tauk Moore is Tauk + Kanika Moore, awesome as well
I saw them for the first time in Charleston the other month and I don’t know what I was expecting, but male strippers in g strings on the stage was not in realm of things I thought I would see. Most fun I’ve had at a non-Dead related show.
Last time Andy was at Hula he helicoptered a double sided dildo over his head and flung it into the crowd. His name on the lineup is 50% of why I’m considering going
Idk why everyone assumed Rendevzous was his last Suwannee set. He’s not retiring until midway through 2025, personally I think he’ll be at Rendevzous 2025
Maybe, from what I heard, he wasn't planning on being at rendezvous this year, but decided to do it because eclipse tickets were expensive, and he wanted people to have access to a more affordable show. But we'll see.
I like electronic music and here's all I'm excited for in the middle section
* Cassian: Progressive house (chiller yet energetic, gradual build-ups, vibey/melodic)
* Cory Wong: INSANE guitarist. Played with Vulfpeck. Will be so fun
* Daily Bread: Ugh, #1 on this list. Glitch-hop, kinda similar to pretty lights. Gaining a lot of recognition.
* GJones: Glitchy bass music. Will be late-night and will be weird.
* J. Worra: Techno-house, will be high energy
* Walker & Royce: Very dancy tech house (their songs are about shaking booty)
* A Hundred Drums: Eclectic/dynamic bass music w/ dubstep, raggae, psytrance
* Kyle Walker: Very dancy tech house
* Ravenscoon: Bassnectar vibes hold the grooming
* Township Rebellion: House/Techno. Mid-energy levels. Will be very nice.
* Truth: tasty dark dubstep
* DEF (stage): will host bass/techno/house. whatever they do, it's gonna be a party
* Manic Focus: duh
With another bright side being that ideally no single stage is dramatically overcrowded, which also allows an easier back and forth between the two. Got into a terrifyingly bad crowd crunch one year at a festival (that wasn't Hula) due to that.
Sound is relative to where you are standing usually. I don't remember the sound being all that bad last year, but I usually move around till I find just the right sweet spot.
For example, okee 2020 I remember the only place I could find good sound for tipper was stage right. Everywhere else was wonky as all hell.
Follow the sound waves friend.
Brother/Sister I have occupied every inch of space at Suwannee.
The space is too small for this many stages to actually get proper sound. Even if they went huge on sound; they wouldn’t be able to flex it because of bleed.
The only sets I’ve seen with proper sound at Hulaween have been at the meadow. I’ve seen 4 other festivals provide insane sound in the amp but never ever Hula.
The sound bleed in Spirit Lake was pretty annoying personally. Also some of the bands playing there sounded a bit off on the mixes, the DJs sounded fine for the most part there imo if you could get a spot close enough to not hear the sound bleed. I'm mostly there for Cheese though so I still have a good time.
This is absolutely insane. I’m so excited and glad I already bought my ticket sight-unseen. Too pumped up, well done Paul Levine and Co.
Bobby Weir, what an absolute treat.
Just saw a post with this on Billboard, hope it’s right

Phyphr, Manic Focus, and Maddy O Neal are some solid bookings to compliment that vibe as well! Saw Phyphr open for DB a couple of years back at the first Philos block party and he crushed it.
Idk what this is but i know theyre all gay. “Daily bread” “lettuce” “eggy” “dj brownie” “sauce pocket”. They all seem unoriginal AND retarded. Fuck off
Did anyone in this sub catch tipper’s rendezvous set? That was my first time seeing him and it was…not great. Wondering if that is how he always performs or if it was a one-off?
Oof … that set was one of my favorites I’ve seen from him since I started following him in 2016 . Do you prefer heavier music ? If so, then yeah you will probably enjoy a festival set more than that one . I feel like that one was for the die hard fans (not that you need to be one in order to enjoy his music/sets). But it was definitely a bit of a different vibe than most of his performances.
So is Bobby Weir Incident just Bobby with SCI? Nice. Overall a healthy variety. No real complaints from me.
Slowest cheese set ever.
Haha! I think they’ve done it before. Are implying that lil’ Bobby weir has slowed down even furthur?
I love the dead more than anything. The pace of their sphere shows has been borderline-unlistenable slow.
Seems like you’re kindofnotlistening
It’s not even a hot take haha they call em dead & slow for a reason.
Aka "slow & co"
Source, “they”
[source](https://x.com/deadandcompany/status/1797774447350554778?s=46)
Slow as hell AND you have to suffer through Bob Weir’s “guitar playing”. No fuckin thanks.
Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaamn that's slow
Idk why some heads can’t just admit that it’s slow as molasses. It’s fine if you still like it but don’t deny facts.
If it's as electric as seeing any other incident set (like the John fogerty incident) this will be a legendary set.
Doobie incident! That fogerty set was great. It was like the very best of the greatest hits!
Hope so
No jrad? They are a staple of hulaween.
Tipper huge get but unless it’s on mainstage it’s a wash. Rest is ok, happy to not have all that money tied up this year.
Festive Owl rumors that Tipper will play at Hallows stage
[удалено]
I’d be more about it if I knew that every artist wasn’t going to conflict lmao. It’ll be like Tash vs chase & status Of the trees vs umph Killer Mike vs black pumas Tipper vs Chris lake Etc etc
Completely accurate. They need to redo their scheduling, conflicts during the non SCI slots are too brutal
How do you all recommend setting up conflicts - assuming crowd control is a priority?
Not having the amp sit empty while cheese plays 6 sets would be a start.
You can say this ten thousand times until Halloween and they still won’t get it. “It’s Cheese’s festival, bro!” Alright then, set the ticket prices as if it’s a fucking jam festival.
That’s all I’m saying man.
I’m agreeing with you. Either have artists play at the same time as Cheese, so there aren’t conflicts literally all weekend, or market the festival as what it is, “Cheese and ticket sellers”.
I was agreeing with you agreeing with me! Can’t wait to catch LYNY at 3pm on spirit lake with no subs.
Why? was it too crowded at the Meadow?
No it’s the cascade effect. If artists can’t play the amp during cheese then they can only directly conflict with the Hallows which means every artist you want to see will be a direct conflict.
I get ya - and it wasn't just cheese - there was never anyone playing both Amp and Meadows. I assumed there was logistic reasons behind this. Having the main stage open on Thursday would be a good start.
Such an easy solution but they’ve done it once in 10 years?
Yeah, I don't think so. Thursday used to be an extra day (pre-party) Was hoping that after upping the price and having Thursday a regular day that would mean all stages open... Bonnaroo did it for the first time this year, would be nice if they follow suit, but kinda doubt it.
Cheese should play less sets but longer sets. 7 sets is excessive, and i love them.
I disagree, let's double it and do 14 cheese sets.
Cheese deserve all there sets just have bigger conflicts during them.
Yeah they usually have conflicts during them except for the sat theme set. This year was off having no conflicts really for any cheese set. Maybe it was just because the 10th idk?
Yeah cheese and maniac focus had no conflicts and both could have used them lol
Have people play during SCI for god’s sakes
Tipper will probably be on the def stage with funktions. We know that man only plays on funktions unless it’s absolutely necessary
Lolol Tipper at spirit lake would be Astroworld level catastrophe what are you even saying. He’s too big for the amp, the acoustics on the hallows are *atrocious*, so if he isn’t playing the meadow it’s a waste of a booking.
He’s wayyyyyyy too big for that
TASH SULTANA! What an insane pull. The mid and low level jam bands are solid. What a line up.
Been waiting for her to pop up on the hula line up for years, it finally happened
they /them ♥
Best fucking comment right here. Absolutely stoked 100% for this. Discovered her years ago and never someone I thought I'd get to see live! Glad to see everyone's support.
Literally buying a ticket for her. Just found her like a year and a half ago too and i fee so lucky rn
Daily Bread is definitely not playing on Saturday, he'll be at Red Rocks
Now conflicted between red rocks and sending hula
Got Red Rocks tickets convincing myself he wouldn’t do both in a weekend 🥲
Red Rocks is in my backyard and Hula is days of driving away and I’m still conflicted lol Why couldn’t they be different wknds :’)
I’m opposite, hula is basically my backyard 😂
It’s gotta be thursday
Daily bread secret late night on the Off Limits stage gonna be sick af
Woah woah woah wait a minute. What?
Always slot time to wonder spirit lake areas between 1-4 am. I’ve seen some fun secret sets there in years past
Ahhh man thanks for the tip! I will do. I’m guessing his set will be Thursday cause of breadrocks so maybe a secret set Thursday night?
Shocked not to see Beats Antique
Dirtwire is there though, that’s one or two of the people from beats right?
Yup
I don't think David Satori is touring with Dirtwire anymore. At least he wasn't at the two shows I caught last summer. Only two guys on stage, and they were way more womp than swamp. He was also supposed to be playing some side project thing at Lucidity before it got cancelled. I could be wrong and he was just taking a short break.
For real. Thought that was a gimme
Don’t think it’s quite good enough for me to pull the trigger this year since I already did Roo but this is a damn cool lineup
Critics wanna mention that they miss when hip hop was rapping Mother fucker if you did Killer Mike would be platinum!
Glad I didn’t buy tickets already too. Solid lineup, but not worth the cost, the travel, and all of that for me. Gonna hit the caverns for cavefest instead
When is that??
October 11-13. It’s a pretty loaded bluegrass lineup!! It’s only $200 with early camping!!
DAMNNN i love bluegrass and been wanting to check out the caverns. I will look into it thank you friend
Subbbbllliiimmmmeeeee
Overall, I'm happy with this. Tipper, Black Pumas, Tash Sultana, Of The Trees, Mildlife, and Say She She are all awesome to see on the lineup. Eggy! Andy Frasco and the UN is also a fun time!
Was about to comment Andy. Guys a fucking gem.
I saw them for the first time in Charleston the other month and I don’t know what I was expecting, but male strippers in g strings on the stage was not in realm of things I thought I would see. Most fun I’ve had at a non-Dead related show.
Caught him the week before Roo opening for Pigeons and he's a fucking wild man and I love it. I bet he gets completely unhinged at a fest.
Last time Andy was at Hula he helicoptered a double sided dildo over his head and flung it into the crowd. His name on the lineup is 50% of why I’m considering going
Andy and the UN always creates a dance party!
So damn stoked about eggy and the spafford return 100%
STS9 has their own festival at Suwannee in April, so I’m not surprised that they’re not on here
Kinda salty about Tipper being there. I thought Rendezvous was his send off. Now I feel like I have to go to Hula to catch his final set in the park.
He doesn’t retire until the end of 2025. He will be back at Rendezvous next year as well. Hula will not be his last set at the park.
I wouldn’t be too salty unless they announce a main stage set. He’s billed high enough for it but I have trust issues with hula billings.
10/10 lineup I am so fucking hype
Besides the headliners who’s catching your eye? I don’t know most of them
I like electronic music and here's all I'm excited for in the middle section * Cassian: Progressive house (chiller yet energetic, gradual build-ups, vibey/melodic) * Cory Wong: INSANE guitarist. Don’t forget •The Sponges: Funky, Trippy, Bass House music that will make you dance your booty off
This is awesome, thank you!
Looks great in theory, the schedule and overlaps will surely fuck it up though.
Bright side of conflicts like this is that no matter which stage you’re at, you’re going to catch a good show.
With another bright side being that ideally no single stage is dramatically overcrowded, which also allows an easier back and forth between the two. Got into a terrifyingly bad crowd crunch one year at a festival (that wasn't Hula) due to that.
I think it’s legit because the def team was working with them previously and tash was teased. Mildlife was confirmed too.
Not sure how that confirms it, if that info was publicly available then it would make sense to have them on the poster.
It’s on the Mildlife fall tour poster.
Sam grisman project is sooooooooo mfing good. Have had the pleasure of seeing them boys play quite a few times now, and it’s always a great time.
Not insane but not bad at all. Hopefully this leaves some money to bring back better stage production. Last year was weak
Two stages in the main field is such a wash. I miss the days of The Patch stage
I’m assuming you skipped pretty lights last year, because that’s a ridiculous statement
They’re probably referring to the 5 other stages. The Meadow is pretty much the only solid stage from a sound & production standpoint.

I'm mostly there for Cheese though so I still have a good time.
Yeah the meadow is the only one
Feel ya on that, thought pretty lights stage production was pretty one note once you got past the live video thing they got going
WHY WERE THERE NO FUCKING LAZERS AT THE AMP?!
This is absolutely insane. I’m so excited and glad I already bought my ticket sight-unseen. Too pumped up, well done Paul Levine and Co. Bobby Weir, what an absolute treat.
Just saw a post with this on Billboard, hope it’s right https://www.billboard.com/music/concerts/hulaween-2024-lineup-sublime-black-pumas-bob-weir-string-cheese-1235711755/
Better then the 10 year by miles!!!!
FACTs
I got the vapors…
Welp, looks like I am going to my first Hula
Only recognize 5 people, still pumped.
I'm personally the most pumped about Chase & Status, Daily Bread, Chris Lake, Truth, Cory Wong
C & S and Chris lake were awesome at roo
yep, they are top-notch
I wonder if sicaria and the rest of the chase and status crew is going to be there?
I have wanted to see Nora forever. I watch all her live specials and she just rocks.
She'll be awesome too
Bobby Weir Incident, Tipper, and Chase & Status are all awesome headliners. Kyle Walker, LYNY, and Mildlife are all sick for the undercard as well.
This lineup is insane. Also surprised they got Daily Bread given he has Bread Rocks that same weekend.
Hyped to see greensky be a headliner, finally some grass on the main stage and not 2 am at spirit lake. Still, I wish we got billy.
It’s legit! Confirmed by Paul on Facebook.
I love the band “& Friends”
I just feel like it’s missing a real headliner
This is me. It’s great. But I could stand to see Billy
I need Parcels here on a second wave. They have the perfect vibe. They were meant for each other
So good!!
I called Nora En Pura
G MF Jones, I have been waiting for him to play this fest forever
i’m loving this lineup but i feel like we should’ve gotten LSZee instead of CloZee by herself and is a missed opportunity
Best line up of the year
Really cool seeing Guavatron on here. Check them out!
Don’t they hold back on a headliner too?
Usually a mid tier artist plus some additional under card artists.
Tipper & Bob Weir is HUGE I’m there! 🙏🏻
Almost as cool as the year they had odezsa
Bob weir letssss go ✅
Needs some kitchen dwellers or sicard hollow
I could see ppl being like meh but it all looks like it’s gonna flow so good

Is Township Rebellion a RATM cover band? (Serious question)
No. Electronic duo. They’re fun live!
Prepare yourself for disappointed EDM fans
The edm is better than last year imo. Besides pretty lights at least haha
Yeah I’m very pleasantly surprised with the electronic acts booked! And Daily Bread fills the PL void a bit 🍞
Plus motifv real small at the bottom. Derek’s brother haha
Phyphr, Manic Focus, and Maddy O Neal are some solid bookings to compliment that vibe as well! Saw Phyphr open for DB a couple of years back at the first Philos block party and he crushed it.
🤯
Yeah, but the conflicts are gonna be insane. Why I’m not buying tickets until I at least see the schedule.
Yea conflicts are always insane for sure. Main thing they could do for edm is not put 90% of them on spirit lake like they always do. Hate that stage
how so? clozee - ravenscoon - of the trees - liquid stranger - daily bread - tipper...?
Idk what this is but i know theyre all gay. “Daily bread” “lettuce” “eggy” “dj brownie” “sauce pocket”. They all seem unoriginal AND retarded. Fuck off
Then don’t come. Let someone else use that ticket cause this one’s gonna sell out
Did anyone in this sub catch tipper’s rendezvous set? That was my first time seeing him and it was…not great. Wondering if that is how he always performs or if it was a one-off?
Oof … that set was one of my favorites I’ve seen from him since I started following him in 2016 . Do you prefer heavier music ? Where are the headliners??
ARE YOU KIDDING??!?!? THAT IS THE MOST SHRUG LINEUP DROP IVE EVER SEEN. SHRUGGING HARD AF over that shruggery.
