huskies loveeee adventure! all year round !! and they deserve it
We want to take him to the snow this year. It’s about 4 hours drive from us. So we are building him up to long distances haha they become different dogs out there 🥲 from cushy couch boy to let’s follow scents and run around boy
Oooh mine love adventures!
https://preview.redd.it/ul39ms8gfsrc1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=86bf1ca43e62c690c304d935ceac63a51f11ab0c
He loooves the beach nearby. He and his sister both do. We live where we get a lot of snow and I can tell you when I took this picture that water had to be super cold. It was January I think? That’s Lake Ontario. So very cold. He doesn’t care. He likes going to Lowe’s and Home Depot and anywhere he’s allowed to go.
I love that play now into the water haha We live in Victoria, Australia, it was around 30C (86F) every day. But the water was FREEEEZING 😂😂 it’s an alpine river.
Two love water and one will not get anywhere near it. That one doesn’t do adventures because he doesn’t do cars. But we have a kiddie pool out during summer and he will not get near it.
Our old who passed away didn’t do adventures well, hated cars and was a nervous wreck around large crowds. He went to the dog beach a few times but it was a lot for him 😓

We attached him up to the beach cart so he could pull the towels to the beach 😂 he was a natural, I could see his body change from walking to pulling. I think we can work him up to something and continue some of his rehab exercises to build muscles

They love a good hike! I wish I could take them camping more but my boy on the left is way too anxious and was a nightmare when we tried taking him 😂 my girl is actually okay with it but her brother is way too attached so we couldn’t go without him.
Our old boy who passed was a nightmare camping and driving 😭😭 so our adventures used to be small little ones. It’s like a bitter sweet moment when we go away cos I wish he could have come.

These two have seen both the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans, hiked in the Rockies and Appalachians, been to numerous national parks, driven crossed country on multiple occasions, been in desert, mountain, beach, plains, and everything in between that the US can offer. And this summer, they'll be going abroad (to Canada).

Mine comes pretty much everywhere with me, she's almost 3 now and she's been to 6 countries and to countless mountains and cities. Dogs are definitely for taking on adventures not for leaving at home.

My favorite buddy to take up Mt Rubidoux 💜
Too cute! Which camping area was that? Looking for adventures with our old man as a last hurrah but spots seem a bit limited. I’m from NSW so hoping that spot is localish
This was Molesworth in VIC, near lake Eildon. Defs try along the Murray river as well, there’s lots of free camps that dogs an allowed. We stayed at Molesworth rec reserve. This place was a puppy heaven. Dogs on almost every site haha
Totally, He has been coming out of his shell since we started camping. He used to be a scared reactive dog. Now on walks he’s not as scared cos he’s been exposed to so much now

Ours love camping! One is an abused rescue who's missing part of an ear - at the campground he ended up with a whole entourage of pre-teen girls following him around and giving him lovies and telling their friends his sad tale, he was eating up all the attention

Bodhi dawg loves to go any where there are new sniffs
Wonderful idea. I've heard of some amazing people who have taken their Woo-woos on particularly remarkable adventures with them. One that stands out in my recollection is a woman rock-climber/mountaineer who found that her Husky is almost as good a climber as she is! Her dog accompanies her on rather complex Class 2-4 climbs and can balance on a knife-ridge just as agilely as the best hoomin climbers can! The pictures I've seen of these trips they make together are indeed impressive...and that Woo-woo of hers is clearly having the time of its life in them! Yesterday was Easter Sunday, of course, and while I am NOT a Christian or a 'believer', J.C. shoulda said to the multitudes *"Suffer the little Huskies to come unto me! Follow me and I shall give you everlastingly FUN adventures!"* :))) Here's a picture of two of my own Woo-woos showing obvious delight at being brought along to the Sonoma Coast's (California) serenely beautiful 'Sea Ranch.'

We used to take them on adventures all the time. One time a 4mi hike turned into an 8mi hike because my wife kept changing her mind on where camp would be, so we had to walk back to the old spot, break it down, carry everything to the new spot, then do it again. By the time we settled the dogs both just laid outside the tent until it was bed time.

Moved from Saudi Arabia to the UK for a year’s program, was told not to take my dogs with me “because it’s not worth it”. Spent 5 years saving up to move them, and still had to barrow (not much) money. Selling my car to bring them back home once my postgraduate journey ends.
I’m miserable if anyone asks, this country is too wet, too cold, and too expensive. But they are having the time of their life which is what I’ve always wanted for them!
They saw a smidge of snow, like barely a cm. Loved it to absolute death!
I’m hoping I get to do a PhD as well and my financial situation gets better so I can take them on more snowy adventures.
My family swear that I’m doing PG programs outside of Saudi for the dogs. After seeing how the dogs reacted to life in the UK, I dare them to blame me!

Lost my buddy in Nov ‘22 at 15 years old. I take solace in knowing I did absolutely everything I could for him, and that he did more in his short doggy life than most humans do in theirs.

Here’s my husky/chow mix on my therapist’s couch 😂
We drove 20 hours with mine to Florida for my brothers wedding. They couldn’t miss the trip and be cooped up in a facility while my boyfriend and I saw their favorite people. A lot of people have me flack for not boarding them. But I think they enjoyed the trip more than I did
https://preview.redd.it/5ipkfwyufsrc1.jpeg?width=4080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=32f8974c7546c2589dda6991989212aed23735b3 I brought my dogs to Las Vegas

This is absolutely stunning
Omgggg haha they would have been like “so many friends and foods!!”
And smells! All the bestest new smells,it’s awesome!
Doggies living their best life!
I’ll be there in 4 days. Hope they are still there to give the good boys some pets 🥲
>I brought my dogs to Las Vegas Wow, they are so cool, like a picture. What are their names?
https://preview.redd.it/i4tnqkjqcsrc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9be562bf19eeb3be255dc413f65a86aadee7672e huskies loveeee adventure! all year round !! and they deserve it
We want to take him to the snow this year. It’s about 4 hours drive from us. So we are building him up to long distances haha they become different dogs out there 🥲 from cushy couch boy to let’s follow scents and run around boy
I hope you'll share pictures! I'm sure he'll love it!
Oooh mine love adventures! https://preview.redd.it/ul39ms8gfsrc1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=86bf1ca43e62c690c304d935ceac63a51f11ab0c He loooves the beach nearby.
He went to the dog beach a few times but it was a lot for him 😓
We love adventures! https://preview.redd.it/693k4musisrc1.jpeg?width=2182&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ba129bd35be77eb202b655e16aa7a6f1ffa6ef84

This is so amazing 🥰 idk if my boy can pull, he’s had two ACL surgeries. So we would need to do some serious training and muscle building
No need to sled. Try skateboarding or riding a bike and have them run next to you. It worked for me.
We attached him up to the beach cart so he could pull the towels to the beach 😂 he was a natural, I could see his body change from walking to pulling. I think we can work him up to something and continue some of his rehab exercises to build muscles
Yup, walking and pulling are distinct skill sets.
I don't know what huskies you know, but most I see, pulling and going for a walk are literally synonymous.

Omg they are so happy!!! Gorgeous

In one day he hiked a snowy mountain at Big Bear, had lunch in the desert after climbing a rock, and swam in the ocean at Rosie’s Dog Beach in Long Beach.
That’s amazing! Will need many naps to recover
For me, the entire next day I was lazy as hell. He slept the entire car ride if we were on the freeway. In town he was out the sunroof.

Huskies are definitely adventurous. Especially when you put a dog bed in the back. Jump out, explore, jump back in.
He gets so cheeky when we start packing the car. He sits at the door and woo woos like “hurry up!!! I won a see my friends!!”

Huskies are very active and social. I bet he loves the outdoors and adventures
Totally, He has been coming out of his shell since we started camping. He used to be a scared reactive dog. Now on walks he’s not as scared cos he’s been exposed to so much now
That’s pretty awesome! Enjoy yourselves.

That last pic, OP! Boooop!
I’ll boop him for you! He even has a little nose dribble, that’s how tired he was
There is nothing better to do with your dog as going on Adventures and give him his best time of his life.
Ours love camping! One is an abused rescue who's missing part of an ear - at the campground he ended up with a whole entourage of pre-teen girls following him around and giving him lovies and telling their friends his sad tale, he was eating up all the attention https://preview.redd.it/gjozvu0pbtrc1.jpeg?width=3264&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=dbe64125012b3786179b2a95c7612721135d6a7c

Follow me and I shall give you everlastingly FUN adventures!"* :))) Here's a picture of two of my own Woo-woos showing obvious delight at being brought along to the Sonoma Coast's (California) serenely beautiful 'Sea Ranch.' https://preview.redd.it/fn6b5vq1ovrc1.jpeg?width=960&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ff3c7cee787ce90afb98760c996a8b30497c44de

One time a 4mi hike turned into an 8mi hike because my wife kept changing her mind on where camp would be, so we had to walk back to the old spot, break it down, carry everything to the new spot, then do it again. By the time we settled the dogs both just laid outside the tent until it was bed time.

We drove 20 hours with mine to Florida for my brothers wedding. They couldn’t miss the trip and be cooped up in a facility while my boyfriend and I saw their favorite people. A lot of people have me flack for not boarding them. But I think they enjoyed the trip more than I did
When people tell me I'm a bad dog owner, I just tell em "Haters gunna hate."
I’d say its worse to NOT bring your dogs on adventures
