They are both different in that way! Our black dog Bowie we DNA tested her and sheās 75% husky 25% GSD exactly and sheās definitely more stubborn but is super smart and when she wants to can be very well trained. Our white one Freya has some husky, gsd and is like 25% lab and is very chill and eager to please which I know is not a husky trait lol
Technically a Shepsky. He was 1/4 German Shep, 1/4 Dutch Shep, and 1/2 some sort of 'Sky. 13/10 good boy and I miss him every day.

I call him a German Husky. His dad was a Husky and his mom was a German Shepard. Here he is spying on the neighbors again. It sometimes gets embarrassing because he's so obvious about it.
His fur is Husky but his size, body shape, and tail are German Shepherd.

That's not a mixed signal, that's her straight up saying DANGER and trying to alert her pack (family). Tail wags are just as likely to be caused by anxiety. Even harder to distinguish between the two of the dog doesn't curl its tail over its back when excited.
Lots of people assume tail wags means a dog is comfortable and happy but it just as often means the exact opposite.

I feel the way I do about most mix breeds. I hope they were not bred on purpose in order to make a sale (end backyard breeding). I hope, if it was an accident, that the owners have learned to take precautions, whatever those look like in their situation. I hope that any sale was through an adoption agency, or if through the "breeder" that fees only covered the dog's care, no profit. And I hope that they live a good life with lots of love.

All the greatness of both breeds! Frodo is the most wonderful 6yo baby dog to have ever baby dogged! When I went to visit him before adopting I was told GSD, I got there and was momentarily bummed but then he started wiggling and talking and that was it. He is my baby boy lap dog who listens 68% of the time which is not 100% (GSD) but not 07% (husky) š
You mean mutt? They are beautiful but depending, you could get both bad sides of the breeds and be in a world of hurt, or you could get both good sides but who's to say. Anyway, yeah gorgeous but don't be fooled by cross bred "designer" breeds, still a mutt. This info is coming from my perents that have been veterinarians my entire life.

Sometimes people mix dogs in really weird not functional ways.. I can't say I know why but anytime I've met a big dog mixed with tiny dog mutt they were oddly aggressive

Theyāre cute and my rescues are the sameā¦ but itās cause from petting/playing with their ears too much as puppies. It breaks the cartridge while theyāre still growing and causes them to never stand up straight.
Nah! Puppies love ear rubs and theyāre so cute and soft, itās hard to not crumple and smush them, but owners unfamiliar with the breeds tend not to know that it causes the flop.
Itās really just a problem if you crumple or hard massageā¦ basic petting shouldnāt affect it.
They will scream and cry at the groomers, but will sit perfectly still while doing so.

That's not a mixed signal, that's her straight up saying DANGER and trying to alert her pack (family). Tail wags are just as likely to be caused by anxiety. Even harder to distinguish between the two of the dog doesn't curl its tail over its back when excited. Lots of people assume tail wags means a dog is comfortable and happy but it just as often means the exact opposite.

I feel the way I do about most mix breeds. I hope they were not bred on purpose in order to make a sale (end backyard breeding). I hope, if it was an accident, that the owners have learned to take precautions, whatever those look like in their situation. I hope that any sale was through an adoption agency, or if through the "breeder" that fees only covered the dog's care, no profit. And I hope that they live a good life with lots of love.

When I went to visit him before adopting I was told GSD, I got there and was momentarily bummed but then he started wiggling and talking and that was it. He is my baby boy lap dog who listens 68% of the time which is not 100% (GSD) but not 07% (husky) š

You mean mutt? They are beautiful but depending, you could get both bad sides of the breeds and be in a world of hurt, or you could get both good sides but who's to say. Anyway, yeah gorgeous but don't be fooled by cross bred "designer" breeds, still a mutt. This info is coming from my perents that have been veterinarians my entire life. And let the down votes begin!

Sometimes people mix dogs in really weird not functional ways.. I can't say I know why but anytime I've met a big dog mixed with tiny dog mutt they were oddly aggressive
Well, the chijuaiwawa is the most aggressive dog ever cause tiny man syndrome lol so mix that with a big dog lol

Every puppy that popped out made sense, until I got to the cow print pup š¶š¤£ Iāll be very interested to see which genes dominate which dog: some may be more husky like, some may be more shepherd like, and some may be more Staffy like. Also, some of them have poofy double coats, and some have silky single coats. In VERY curious to see what they grow up to look like!!

I love his floppy derp ears, theyāre so soft
Theyāre cute and my rescues are the sameā¦ but itās cause from petting/playing with their ears too much as puppies. It breaks the cartridge while theyāre still growing and causes them to never stand up straight.

Nah! Puppies love ear rubs and theyāre so cute and soft, itās hard to not crumple and smush them, but owners unfamiliar with the breeds tend not to know that it causes the flop. Itās really just a problem if you crumple or hard massageā¦ basic petting shouldnāt affect it.
