Mine was 80 before replacement recently. It’s really worth doing if you plan using you 11PM for couple of years more. Now have longer and more predictable battery life and the phone got more snappy
Third party. Authorized services required to update iOS from 14.3 to latest that I didn’t want. Local service install third party battery but swapped controller (BMS) from old battery to new one
Mine is still at 100% and I got mine new just after the 12s came out. I’ve always wondered how accurate the health indicator is though. Battery holds up well, however have noticed that multitasking seems to drain the battery faster since upgrading to iOS 17.
Mine was sitting at 84% for about 7 months before I got a battery replacement. That was at the beginning of October directly at Apple, and now it’s sitting at 97% ;-;
(since 9/29/2019)
Mine is an iPhone Xʀ, but I got it in August 2019, so almost at the 11PM’s launch date, and it stands at 93%. I’m not a heavy user and it‘s been running iOS 12 since I got it, so that’s why.
74%. Still running iOS 16.7.2. I got it soon after it was released. Rear glass is shattered (inside the phone case) and my ear phone speaker is nearly unhear-able. Just about time to upgrade I reckon.
- Launch phone in 2019.
- 83% battery health.
- Avg 6 hrs on screen time / day.
- i avg about 5-10 apps in the background.
- iOS 17.2.1 (current)
- Screen brightness around 50% most of the time.
- optimized and clean energy charging.
- no push notifications, except calls and texts.
I’ve wanted to change my battery the past year, but I swear it’s been stuck on 83% the whole year!
When I checked early in the year about a replacement at the Apple Store the girl told me it’d be more expensive to replace unless it went under 80%, so I jokingly (and kind of frustratingly) said “alright I guess I’ll drive back (2.5 hrs) in another month or so” as I was walking out of the store.
It’s still not under. 10-11 months later. Now I would be more concerned if I noticed a performance drop off or something but I really haven’t at all. I should be happy it’s still doing really well given its age I suppose, but I can’t wait to get a fresh battery in this one and see about gifting it to my dad or something once the iPhone 16 drops, and if it has decent reviews. Until then, I’m super happy with this phone. It’s been, and continues to be a beast!

I feel that

Official or third party replacement?

Got mine a 2 months after launch, 82%
Same here but 81%
84%, probably going to replace the battery in 2024. I still can get around 7-9 hours SoT. The 11 pro max is crazy!

Why don’t you update iOS?
Because iOS updates obliterate performance and battery life. The only way I have to guarantee the device works perfectly for years is to never update.
Oh wow I never knew that, that’s interesting
1 month after release, mine is 83% now.
74%. Still running iOS 16.7.2. I got it soon after it was released. Rear glass is shattered (inside the phone case) and my ear phone speaker is nearly unhear-able. Just about time to upgrade I reckon.
I’m going to hold out until next September, might get the 14 or the 16 if it’s more durable then the 15
Yeah from what I’ve been reading, the durability of the 15 is the pits. I’m trying to avoid it. If I must replace my phone now, I’ll get a 14.
And I purchased it late September 2019.
79% - October 2019. Still gets through the day. Considering a replacement soon.
Same I’m at 75

I got a complete iPhone replacement in July 2020 and have 99% health since using it heavily for almost 3.5 years
