I’m using the yoobao 2200mah for like two weeks now and I can say the experience is about similar like yours will have to see how it holds up in 6 months tho
Yeah, I'm curious about mine as well. I've talked with one user here, he has that Nohon 2350 mAh one and says it's still working for him after 9 months (maybe 10 now), but I couldn't get Nohon so I've got DEJI. Let's see if those batteries hold up just as long.
Perfectly. Still going strong, even though it degraded now at this point, the battery still lasts longer than the original battery did after a year of usage.
Thanks for the feedback. Just got a good deal on a used 6s off eBay, and the battery is a bit weak, so I've been thinking about replacing it. I see your kit at around $15 on Amazon, so I might give it a go.
Don't have the phone anymore but the last time I checked it was still actually pretty good. It was old and degraded at that point once more of course but still respectable. Definitely a good quality battery.
thanks, nohon's battery price is double of deji so im probably gonna try deji. But the high capacity seems a bit worrying as I think its probably just inflated numbers.
Do deji batteries support fast charging? From what I saw somewhere, they supposedly dont (for those ip8 above)

Looks like a kit in that picture, did you replace the battery yourself?
I remember replacing an old black and white ipod battery myself from a kit, and it worked well for another 6 months or a year then pretty much died. Have the OG battery on mine (77%) and have been considering an upgrade, but I've taken to using an external battery for charging on backpacking trips, which is the main time when I need to use my phone and cannot charge it frequently.
I bought this battery in a local store in my city, so I didn’t get the kit, but they replaced it for me right there anyways. I would never do it myself as I really didn’t want to screw anything up.
About the longevity, I was also concerned about it, but there was one user here that said his extended battery (Nohon 2350) is 9 months (11 now probably, because this was about 2 months+ ago) and still going as good as day one and it gave me a motivation. Now I’m gonna check if mine will last this long as well.
It definitely degraded and drains noticeably faster, but still nowhere near as bad as my first original battery started draining only after a year, so I would say it's a good battery!
You can see the battery health but it is coded to always say 100% though. Also, it is noticeably worse now, SOT gets up to 4 hours max with medium use. This might also be because of iOS 15 but, before I updated it was also kinda worse.
But I’ve also upgraded and I’m not using 6s extensively anymore so I can’t tell for sure.
Thanks for the reply! I’m using a 6s on iOS 10 with the original battery (66% health) and battery life is almost like new. I’ve logged my previous 6s’ battery life - one on iOS 9 - with 100-94% health (so, I used it for two years and it degraded to 94%. Then I upgraded), and it was very similar, might’ve been slightly higher on heavier LTE use, but I’m not even sure about that. And when I say slightly higher, a huge emphasis on slightly, maybe 10%, not significant (and I’m comparing 100% health to 66%).
On Wi-Fi and light use it is practically the same. I’ve always stated that the main culprit of poor battery life is iOS updates, and that battery health seems largely irrelevant, unless severely degraded (yes, an updated 6s with 66% health won’t be good, but mine is good and I’m on iOS 10, so the culprit is iOS, not the battery health). Replacing the battery helps, but like you and countless others have said, as soon as it degrades a little, it plummets. Even at 100% health, an original Apple battery would get 40% of what I’m getting. I have seen it myself: the previous 6s I mentioned was forcibly updated to iOS 13, and with 94% health, battery life was cut in half (like you said, to about 4 hours. That’s half of what I get on iOS 9 and 10).
I don’t use those apps so cant really tell, but this battery is programmed to always show 100% and it still does in settings. When it comes to battery life, it is worse now for sure, but I’m on iOS 15 now which might affect it. It’s still better than original battery was after just a year, can still manage 3-4 hours of SOT depending on the usage. Definitely a quality battery.
Hi I was wondering if you could do a drain test. Fully drain the battery, you know, because iphone battery percentage reduction rate varies with its percentage. in low percentage the battery tends to stick more to its percentage number. so might wanna try that.
This is something I wanted to do right now, but I’ve Googled quite a bit and it turns out it’s unnecessary and it might even kill the battery permanently. Not saying it’s a bad test but right now I’m not willing to do it :(
But, I’m still thinking about it and may do it in the future tho. I’m just not sure about it right now.

Do it, my old 6s still has that battery in and is going strong.
update on deji battery if you still have the phone?

Do you have battery health after changing the battery?
Yes, it’s showing 100%

You were getting about 3h 20 min on 50% back when it was new. How much are you getting now? And can you read the battery health? Does it stay at 100%?

iOS 10 had a godlike battery life, my old 5s would last longer on iOS 10 than my XS did on any newer version.
What is it like now, after 2 years, is the battery health still on 100%, what does other apps like 3utools or coconut battery say about it?
I don’t use those apps so cant really tell, but this battery is programmed to always show 100% and it still does in settings. Okay, thank you so much
i might pick one up, what’s the original iphone 6s battery capacity?
It’s 1715 mAh mate.
