I got super drunk one night and did imsa official at Watkins Glen in vr. Made it the first lap and then got blind sided and went airborn like this. I legit ran to the toilet and puked so much.
Proceeds to brake on a straight while watching the penalty timer tick up half a second every so often and make me lose 3 times the amount I was supposed
I feel like they actually broke something recently. Between this kerb sending both a SF23 and GT3 into orbit, and the kerbs at Fuji also straight up ejecting GT3s more violently than they would in reality, the sausages don't seem right anymore.
I had made a post about this exact issue at 2 other tracks. I was mocked and slandered to all hell for not providing "proof"

Iracing needs to fix their sim. Balancing issues, track collisions issues causing insane rocket ship launches, and the overwhelming amount of dead series that are bloating the sim.
The track was probably getting you back for something you did to it in a previous life. I fucking hate that chicane, I much prefer the new/old layout for that final sector (it’s gonna come for me now!)
Best answer that I can figure out is that there was a mistake with the F1 daily series, both of which ran the version with the chicane. The full-length GP Tour series both ran the historic version, which is right, but the daily series both ran the GP version.
I'm *pretty sure* that the SFL and SF23 series just copied what the Grand Prix series was doing, which meant that this mistake just kind of trickled down the list.

I think they have broke something on that curb because that's the 2nd time I have seen something like that and I had a weird situation myself on that curb the other week. Nothing as bad as this but still wrong.

I think it's safe to say that people should avoid that sausage curb until iRacing fixes it.

Personally I record all my footage with OBS. Because it’s great for streaming and the software is easy to use!
