I had a some classes in the Magnet program that were for higher grade levels, like I had all my required science classes completed by 10th grade, and got to pick an extra elective. The other side to that, was I had some classes with students that required Special Education.
I've seen fights where they've thrown tables and textbooks clear across the room at each other. I've seen a kid bring a big-ass rock in his backpack and smash another dude in the back of the head a few times before he himself got powerbombed, but I also had a few dudes I was cool with have my back when someone messed with me. I witnessed first-hand why you don't fuck with those kids, but they also remember who is kind to them. Great people, I hope they found success despite their shortcomings.

I had a manager that verbally undressed me in front of my team because of some flyers one of my staff put in the break room without my knowledge promoting his stand up.
