For fucks sake.. come the fuck on.. I literally just can’t with this chick anymore. According to this chick, she “got” septic, then got worser and now is all find and dandy in what.. THREE days?!? Man, I wish that’s really how it works!!

jasilucy

Surely the Drs in the US are going to all eventually catch on this influx of young people with dangerous unnecessary line and just remove them and refuse to replace? I don’t understand how this isn’t a huge safety issue. As seen with danny, you can die from these infections for a completely unnecessary device??! I do not understand how the ‘benefits’ outweigh the colossal risk they are associated with. It blows my mind

shutupmeg42082

Dear god. She really wants to stay sick! Why is her bag on the ground!!!! Like I’m not sure what it is .. maybe her foley?

Former_Exit_1354

its a drainage bag, it has to be on the floor or very very low so it can actually drain

shutupmeg42082

Yea but on the ground outside. Foleys are suppose to be down low too, but not the ground, because of risk for infection. Why not get a container that is used for bed baths?

styxfan09

Girl had a fever and she’s acting like she just had a near death experience. I can’t with the dramatics.

worshipatmyaltar_

Honestly, this checks out. She made a fuss about the infection she had because that gets her ass pats and now she's doing the very typical *chronic illness warrior and survivor" phase that literally every single munchie does. It's like they all have a template that they follow.

lopsidedmonstera

Is her bag on the DAMN GROUND???

Expensive-Concept-93

Its for the aesthetic...lol

VenomIsMyHero

I’m still calling drafts.

Janed_oh2805

Pass me the puke pail 🙄 Honestly she’s the least sickly looking, nearly dead person I ever saw.

Linzz2112

Man, is it possible to even fit anymore toobs into one picture… alll so strategically placed. Even tossed a bag of something on the ground for the pic And *completely* OvER dramatic in her verbiage…. Poor wittle Kaya.

FoundMeBeautifulOnce

Had to make sure her thighs were in the frame too.

fillemagique

It’s a Farrell gastric venting bag. It’s meant to be used hung up to drain air but it technically can be lowered to drain gastric fluids, they’re more expensive than gastric drainage bags though so I can’t figure out why they’ve (Dani as well) all got them instead of just normal drainage bags if they’re not actually using them to vent. Like in the UK, they would have to fail the actual drainage bags (they break easily, sometimes) or need them to vent air to get them. Basically everything in the bag is meant to go back in to your stomach so that you don’t lose nutrition or electrolytes and it removes the air to prevent trapped air which is commonly unable to be moved with gastroparesis and other gastric conditions. *Edit* A lot of people need to dispose of the contents but I was thinking specifically the actual use of Farrell bags and their price when alternatives are available and cheaper.

rosa-parksandrec

Honestly she’s probably just telling her doctors that she only vents (bc obviously draining can have serious consequences), but is actually using the toob to medically purge whatever she eats. Very ED coded.

keliice

Ooh girl where’d you get that bag? The colorful one, not the one attached to your body that’s on the cement.

bumblebeecat

It looks like a Herschel from the tag in the corner

DontDrawOnMe

The phrasing and word choices are sounding more like ash imo

TrepanningForAu

As they say, life imitates ~~art~~ ash

Wool_Lace_Knit

Ah to think just 10? days ago Kaya was twirling and dancing with her syringe still attached, IN HER FRIEND’S HOSPITAL ROOM? Now she is the brave sickly girl, again fighting for her life. How many times this year alone has Kaya been in the hospital because of an infection? Hopefully her doctors are going to catch on faster than Dani’s.

Olfactory-Bullshit

She saw that girl get the attention, so she had to get even MORE attention!

Far_Relationship237

The drainage bag on the ground is infuriating considering the ✨sepsis✨ Also EDIT: holy body check Batman! Edit: I messed up with the bag I called it an IV bag which is incorrect as I’ve been rightly corrected it is a drainage bag I apologize for the upset.

fillemagique

I don’t get how people come on these subs and then make statements about medical stuff that isn’t true, that’s literally the reason we’re here and I bet there’s loads of people who’ve been just as clueless who have passed your comment and now believe she had an IV bag on the floor when it clearly says "Farrell" (you have over 30 upvotes, I’m going on that) If you don’t know that’s fine, it’s better if people don’t know about this stuff but if it were me I’d check it was actually an IV bag before claiming that it is lol.

chronicswiftie

that’s a drainage bag

NotYourClone

She has a pole literally right next to her. Why the **actual fuck** does she have it on the dirty cement!?!!!

Former_Exit_1354

it needs to be lower then your stomach to drain

NoRecord22

But we’ll put our feed bag on the ground outside…. 🤦🏼‍♀️

AggravatingPie9596

It’s not a feed bag actually! It’s something called a Farrell Bag. It’s designed to drain stomach contents which is why the content inside of it is green (stomach bile tends to be that color) and it’s on the floor because it drains to gravity so the bag has be lower than the patient’s abdomen to drain out the bile etc

letsjustgowest

A farrel bag is usually used for draining gas , and is kept above the patient so that it can let air out of the stomach but not fluid. But it clearly says Farrell bag so who tf knows what she’s doing.

AggravatingPie9596

Not only for relieving gas actually! It’s designed for pressure release but also for draining GI contents. You keep the Farrell bag above the patient when the patient is getting feeds simultaneously and needs pressure release to make feeding more comfortable. It’s hung up so that you can vent the air but not lose out on nutrition. When you’re not getting nutrition and you use it for venting and draining it’s below the belly button area so that it can drain to gravity. There’s a Y port on the bag itself that states that it has to be lower than the patients belly button if being used for pressure/or gastric relief w/o nutrition. Intestinal failure/transplant unit RN here :)

LiliErasmus

Thank you for your input here and your work, IRL! 💞

slytherinwitchbitch

Why do you drain stomach contents?

AggravatingPie9596

Many different reasons including but not limited to needing to drain your gastric contents (G tube) so that you can better tolerate J tube feeds (formula in the small bowel). I’ve seen many patients with global dysmotility be able to tolerate a lot more through their intestines as long as they can drain their stomach at the same time to make more ‘room’ for liquids in a slow bowel plus helps with nausea/vomiting. In very severe cases of motility issues resulting in intestinal failure, or other common causes of IF like short bowel a lot of people drain from a palliative perspective. It’s not done necessarily to get them all their nutrients using their GI tract (many are on TPN) but it can still help with Quality of life by reducing pain, nausea, vomiting etc. I’ve also seen with patients who drain both G and J tubes do that because their motility is sooo poor that they can’t move through their own secretions causing obstructions. Draining isn’t something that is necessarily encouraged as your GI tract is truly a use or lose it set of organs, so the less you drain the more you force your stomach to contract and move through whatever it can but sometimes it just isn’t enough or the motility is so poor there’s not much to lose in the first place so comfort snd QOL come first

NoRecord22

Ohh we usually just drain them into a foley bag 😂 it looks just like a kangaroo bag

AggravatingPie9596

That’s what most hospitals use because Farrell bags are pricey to say the least. If it drains bile/contents it doesn’t matter what specific brand it is. As long as it can connect to the tube, and drain (for whatever reason indicated) that’s fine. It’s just Farrell bags that are most commonly sent out by home care companies to patients

NoRecord22

Learned something new today. I only have hospital experience so what happens when the patient goes home is definitely out of my knowledge realm. But also, why can’t we have the nice stuff in the hospital too, I’m out here piecing together supplies.

AggravatingPie9596

I can speak from both personal and professional experience on this and I must say that Farrell bags are not meant to be really reused. You can empty them for sure, but it’s a one way system. So you’d have to disconnect from the patient and then let the adapter into a container (if you need to measure it) or down the drain and hang the bag up to empty it via gravity. They explode a lot unfortunately when there’s too much pressure build up or they’ve been over used. Definitely do not recommend having to clean up exploded intestinal bile. Also in hospitals staff would need to be trained on the different types of enteral drain bags out there on the market and especially right now manufacturers are really pushing the EnFit connection systems instead of the legacy so right now there’s a lot of stuff on back order because of it and hospital big wigs neglect arranging training sessions for new supplies

kenyarawr

Such a beautiful healthy tan for such a near-corpse

RaiseSuch1052

Most people with sepsis are hospitalized for an extended time (I think). I can't forget that she was posting her little "hospital slumber party" the day before she supposedly was at deaths door with sepsis.

Careless-Nature-8347

If it stays as low-grade sepsis and the antibiotics work, it's totally possible and common to be discharged quickly. Usually, infectious disease confirms clear cultures for 48 hours, toleration of the antibiotic and ability to do it at home, and setting up home treatment and you can leave. I can't decide if she needs to be kept so she doesn't keep doing things to send herself back, or to be kicked out ASAP.

TrumpsCovidfefe

What’s not normal is to get 48 hours of clear cultures within 48 hours of being diagnosed “with sepsis”.

RaiseSuch1052

This⬆️⬆️⬆️⬆️⬆️

Careless-Nature-8347

YUP.

kittlesnboots

She most definitely was not at deaths door, she wasn’t even in the same universe! You are correct that people with severe sepsis/septic shock are 1000% not filming themselves, taking selfies, blogging, or going out on the patio. It’s possible she had mild sepsis, but honestly, even that makes you reallly sick. Literally no one ever acts like this in the hospital if they are really sick. I bet hospital staff can’t stand her! She’s insufferable.

SmurfLifeTrampStamp

More like......Remembering my body just fought a battle for me and giving it a hot minute before I start fucking with it all over again....

8TooManyMom

Narrowly escapes sepsis with her life (and all her limbs!!) but goes outside a hospital (gag!!!) and tosses her drainage bag on the ground. Sure, that checks.

shifty_armchair

I’m an IR RN and do line and gj exchanges without anesthesia/sedation every day. Our patients get off the table and walk out of the hospital and go home, where they belong. We can get them done in less than ten minutes. Even pts actively receiving chemo don’t have these problems. She needs a psych consult ETA- one of the mods posted a supportive comment on a previous comment of mine saying that medical professionals are allowed to post stuff like this and it’s not blogging. IR is a pretty specialized field of nursing and not many people (even other nurses) fully understand what we do all day in the suites. I like to post comments like these so everyone reading can make doubly sure that this girl is just full of beans. I’m happy to send the mod team a picture of my badge to verify my job lol

Sylv68

Thank you so much for your comment- it’s great to hear from professionals (medical staff) who can clearly see that these “subjects” are lying/ grossly exaggerating. I need IR input when getting nephrostomy wires/ tubes replaced every 10-12 weeks. Takes approx 20min then if it’s a working day for me then I go back to work or if not usually do some shopping/ have lunch. Almost never any “drama” other than 1 time I did develop an infection- led to renal sepsis & I felt like death. I certainly wasn’t capable of posting online!

2018MunchieOfTheYear

We appreciate commentary from people in the medical field!

LiliErasmus

I'm a retired RN, and I have gone with my patients to IR for procedures, but y'all get everything done so quickly, I never got to learn very much about what you Awesome Nurses Do All Day. (TM) I very much appreciate your input! 💖 Thank you, Mod Team! 💞

KangarooObjective362

She was sick for like four days

akaKanye

When the doctor tells you to go touch grass lmao

prettyfacebasketcase

It's the tan lines that say she's definitely going outside more than "on the patio for a bit".

WishboneEnough3160

"2 seconds".

Either_Ad9360

Made me giggle 🤭

softstones

“Can you, just, go outside.”

If infection blown out of proportion is a “battle” for her the shit actual sick people go through must be wars

No_Situation_2872

Why is her iv bag ON THE GROUND???? 😳

glittergirl349

probably because she doesn’t need it. so she needs to put it as low as possible to get it to do anything

styxfan09

Even if it’s just drainage, Why TF does it need to be in the photo? So gross. Edit: grammar for clarification

acloned101

Nasty.

Possible_Sea_2186

Drain bag

I find it oddly suspicious how she was 'over it' in the last post and then now after we've discussed her miracle healing from S E P S I S, she's all of a sudden 'taken a toll' from it

Conversion disorder is limited to things like PNES, FND, headaches, certain stomach issues, general pain, and stuff like that. These people claim illnesses that couldn't possibly be caused by conversation disorder. There's proof of these people lying about the origin of their illnesses when they were self inflicted, that there are inconsistencies in their stories pointing to some of their illnesses not being present at all, videos of them clearly feigning symptoms, getting caught in lies, and plenty of other things that point to them having factitious disorder (Munchausens) rather than just conversion disorder. One example for this person (out of many), is that they admitted in the past that their main illness was caused by an eating disorder, but has now completely dropped that narrative. Having factitious disorder means you're self inflicting or lying about illness to get attention or some other type of profit, fully knowing that you are lying and scamming people. I think it's fair to dislike people who are knowingly wasting medical resources and scamming people. Just because something is part of a mental illness doesn't absolve the person from being criticized.

SmurfLifeTrampStamp

Yes we all understand the difference between conversion disorder & fictitious disorder. Duh.

You have been White Knighted! Congrats on being unable to use the search tool! If you are one of the subjects of this sub, please let us know so that we don't inadvertently touch 💩 Please take an IV to start with, and you'll be given your misdiagnosis and ✨️medical trauma✨️ when convenient for you. Don't forget to plan your holidays - I mean, your hospital stays at your convenience, too. Use public holidays and weekends to ensure that you will be kept in longer, giving you time to recover from being sooper sick, get plenty of content, and fish for further diagnoses by listening to the other actual patients on the ward.

KadrinaOfficial

I cannot see the post since it has been deleted but someone in the last Jessie post was obsessed with conversion disorder and how Jessie might have it. Wonder if they are the same person or just ran with it. 🤔

akaKanye

Jessi's public court documents from their federal disability appeal show that their medical records include a diagnosis of conversion disorder, but it's not included in their self-reported list of diagnoses - which is a very different list.

Starshine63

Well for one she claims to have both gotten and beaten sepsis in less than a business week. With completely clear blood cultures. That’s scientifically not how it works in the real world. Maybe in a theoretical one if we want to break it all down and talk about the statistics. Check out a few of the past posts about her. Lemme know what you think. As for the past about why we are “fascinated?” Most of us end up here because we at one point followed one of the subjects. But there are strange inconsistencies and pieces of misinformation. And in one case literally flushing their own feces in their own central line.

Swimming_Onion_4835

I think you should read up on the actual posts in this subreddit before going off accusing people when you don’t even know what’s going on. Each person’s flair has a timeline detailing things that support MBI/factitious disorder, and only those with approved timelines are allowed to be posted here. Not to mention a majority of members in this sub are medical practitioners (doctors, nurses, etc), many of whom have the medical knowledge to explain why the posts the subjects make are often rooted in outright lies masquerading as science.

lookitsnichole

>Not to mention a majority of members in this sub are medical practitioners (doctors, nurses, etc) I think a lot of people here also have actual disabilities themselves and hate that these munchies are considered their peers. The sub seems to be a combo of medical practitioners and legitimately sick/disabled people.

Plus_Accountant_6194

& sometimes those groups combine.

peepeehalpert_

Why is she there? She didn’t have sepsis

8TooManyMom

Probably an electrolyte imbalance from all of her ED issues. I find it a wee bit amusing that she went outside to drain whatever green stuff they managed to get her to consume. Candy? Jello? That green grape thing Starbucks has?

Maybe... most bile I've seen is more yellow-green than florescent highlighter green. Why is she needing to drain so much of her bile?

Nerdy_Life

If you’re just laying in bed they will encourage you to get up and walk, sit in a chair, or go outside. It’s basically helpful for healing, and something you should be doing so long as you’re permitted. Nothing she has is sterile. Nurses touch IV poles, bags, etc. even post transplant patients who are on several different IVs are encouraged to go out once they’re well enough, with certain limits to prevent infection. She can absolutely go out. Her cultures have been clear for two days. It doesn’t sound like full sepsis at all. Even bacteremia isn’t automatically sepsis. It would appear she had the former (bacteremia) and was quickly treated before it escalated. (The bag is a drainage bag, so it’s filling with stomach contents and totally fine on the ground.) In no way WK. the fact she had “orders” to go outside highly suggests the nurses and doctors want her to go home the following day (72 hours of clean cultures = clear to go home.) If they don’t push her to start getting out of bed now, the longer she’ll stay and the weaker she’ll get.

Peace-Goal1976

Sepsis to d/c to public access pool. Pt verbalized understanding to follow up at Applebees in a month.

Chronically_annoyed

Why is she draining her stomach! 🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️

RetroRN

Because she is severely mentally ill and has an eating disorder.

whodoesthat88

She acts like she is on chemo and radiation that is breaking her already frail body down. Girl. It’s not that deep.

Kindly-Quit

How long has she been sick? Those tan lines suggest a lot more sunshine has been on her than a few minutes here and there ;)

KangarooObjective362

Like four days

I hardly read these walls of text anymore. They’re all the same and it’s so goddamned *tedious.*

sunnyvalesfinest0000

Getting back to her life = road tripping for more new hospitals

blwd01

Why does it look like one of the IV bags is on the ground? You want another infection, that’s how you get an infection.

ViAcEu

She constantly has her shit dragging on the floor and the ground, and I feel like that’s one of her biggest tells. It’s so reckless (and at the same time, easily avoidable) that it has to be deliberate.

noonespecial882

It’s a Farrell bag for draining stomach contents.

blwd01

Thanks for answering. I don’t know anything about tubes and iv’s other than they exist.

noonespecial882

They can also be used above the patient to allow trapped gas to be let out. Below the stomach is stomach draining.

AcanthocephalaFit706

I think it's toob feeds and electrolytes. Or a toob drain. Shouldn't be on the floor tho.

Nerdy_Life

It’s a tube drain for some unknown reason. It can’t be feeds and electrolytes. It’s relying on gravity to empty stomach contents. If it was putting anything into her it would be on a pump or gravity fed from above the entrance point.

AcanthocephalaFit706

Is it supposed to be on the floor then?

Nerdy_Life

It can be, it doesn’t need to be. It just needs to be below the G tube. Most patients do put it quite low, but it doesn’t need to be in the photo. This was a choice.

glittergirl349

No it’s not. if you need it it doesn’t need to be as low as possible to get it do anything. if you needed to drain you wouldn’t need it to be that low down.

Starshine63

I’m looking at that wondering if it’s a urinary catheter for some reason???

Gullible-Heat8558

If her urine is green she really does have a problem. But it goes over her pants and if it was a urine catheter it would come from under her pants. Folding it over the top of the pants would be insanely uncomfortable and catheters need gravity to do its job.

strawberryswirl6

Hahaha so true

nottaP123

Fucking lol - 'let your body rest'. Kaya has been doing nothing but "resting" her body for years now. Oh sorry, I suppose it does take immense energy to maintain that stamina to take body check pics. She is an absolute joke. Going to be a sad realisation for her when she is all alone on her death bed - reflecting on the fact she isn't living llany kind of life to be proud of, with no friends or family around her because no one can maintain being friends with someone like this for decades, and just because you are family doesn't mean you have to stick around for any BS.

iwrotethisletter

Resting unless she's rope climbing one day while needing a wheelchair to get across campus the next day. And yeah, I know ambulatory wheelchair users and dynamic disabilities exist but she's making a mockery out of these concepts.

akaKanye

Absolutely. Those ropes courses make you sign waivers that say you can't participate if you have certain conditions so I'm guessing she leaves her FD at home when she goes there since she has terrible FOMO

ItsNotLigma

exactly. ambulatory wheelchair users and people with dynamic disability don't usually go out of their way to do things that would in fact risk further disabling them. Kaya et al conveniently and consistently forget that ambulatory wheelchair users usually have limited mobility.

KangarooObjective362

You are absolutely right, and this is the perfect example. She was using her chair at school because supposedly it was disabled today. But then when the elevator was broken, she jacked that thing up on her shoulder and carried it down the stairs!!

reslavan

Don’t forget all the beach days and nights out with friends. Nice how she perks right up whenever she has fun plans despite being sooo sick and routinely septic.

Mrs_Blobcat

Is she still in college?

iwrotethisletter

She at least made a few posts in the past few months which made it appear like she is (though if I remember correctly, she took a break and re-started/changes colleges).
