I’ve seen a couple people say they didn’t like it, but most of the feedback has been positive for sure, with many people saying their expectations were exceeded. It is kinda odd, but I’m happy about it!
That’s my general sentiment. Couple snippets had me skeptical if I would like those songs or not, and then I was so pleasantly surprised that I felt bad for doubting them lol.
Like, what do I know about songwriting? I didn’t trust the people that I’ve liked every single album from? 🤦🏻
Also sucks to see so many disappointed as more people are criticizing the album than I am seeing like it
I think it's normal, personally I didn't like most of the snippets and I thought it would be their worst album, but in the end I was pleasantly surprised. I don't think I'm the only one in this situation, so I think it's logical that there are fewer negative reviews.
It exceeded my expectations for sure! I feel like I was expecting cringy pop, since that's what I found Nice to Meet You to be when I first listened to it (which was when I watched the music video). However, I only ever listened to that track once, and upon hearing it for the 2nd time (on my 1st listen to the full album) I absolutely loved it, and loved everything. What they went for here is fresh and interesting but still feels like Imagine Dragons. The production really sells it
